Bird Brain.

When I woke up this morning and opened the shade, I was greeted with a sweet little bird outside my window. We exchanged greetings, then she flew to the next door neighbor's roof where a bunch of insulation was left from some repairs. After consuming the equivalent of about 3 (already popped) popcorn-sized pieces, she decided that perhaps insulation wasn't such a good thing to eat after all and flew away. I guess it did kind of look like bread crumbs. Sigh.

Another exhibition post

Hello!!

Ok, I just found out today that the catalogue for my exhibition, "Crafting Maya Identity: Contemporary Wood Sculptures from the Puuc Region of Yucatan, Mexico," has been released on our publishers website, Northern Illinois University Press. The catalogue is edited by my former supervisor, Jeff Kowalski, but I'm a major contributor having written or co-written several of the chapters:

However, it's also available for pre-order on Amazon. I can't believe I'm on Amazon!!

Please check it out and tell everyone you know who might be interested. Shoot, tell them even if they're not! :-)

More soon.
