An Eli Heart Update

We went to Primary Children's Medical Center last Friday, and this is what we learned:
1. Eli weighs 12 lbs 3 oz, and is almost 23 inches long
2. He is looking healthy, and his heart is doing well
3. With room air his oxygen saturation is 78% (average healthy person between 90 and 99%)
4. We have no date yet, but the second surgery will probably be at the end of August

Now for some fun!

Can you guess who is who?
These are pictures of Isaac and Eli at age 3 months. Isaac was 3 months old Dec of 2006 and Eli turned 3 months old earlier this month.

Did you get it right?
Isaac is the first picture, while Eli is the second.
I was surprised at their similarities, for I did not think that they looked that much a like.
This was fun to do, and just reminds me how fast they grow and change.

I Am Dying To Share! Whilst Needing Advice...

These are online clips that I love. LOVE! I can watch them over and over and over again. I must share in the obsession.

Okay, now I need advice. Here is the situation:
It is common knowledge that our first born, Isaac, is not an eater. Never has been.
However this past week or two has been to the extreme. For instance, yesterday he really only ate a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch, and nothing more the rest of the day. I can tell this is affecting him, for his energy level is low. But he will not eat anything. Every two hours I remind him that there is food available, but he turns to me and usually says, "Umm, no." And it is not that he wants candy or junk, because he turns that down too! I am thinking about doing some protein shakes with hidden goodness inside, but I am not sure he would take them. I am just getting a little worried because this morning he got out of bed, came into our room, crawled into bed with us and whimpered "I eat." I brought him some toast and offered cereal, but then he said "No, juice." What is going on?

Look What We Can Do!

Eli can hold his head up!
He is getting so big. He is really starting to smile, and even laugh! Very ticklish is this boy.

Isaac can play on the playground like a big boy!
This little man loves the playground. And there is nothing he will not try if he can reach it. Sends my heart racing in panic, but I try not to smother and instead let him learn.

I can make a SuperHero Cape!
(The "i" is for Isaac.)
I bought a sewing machine a week ago and made this within two hours. I really am proud of myself :) Thanks to my grandma Emens I have learned the basics of sewing. I got the idea from this website: http://thedressupdrawer.blogspot.com/
but learned how to do it through this lady: http://pukingpastilles.com/?p=57
So now everybody knows what their child is getting for birthday a present from Isaac.

Matt can make his son into a real flying SuperHero!
This field of Barley is right in front of the Rexburg LDS Temple. It is a fun and great place to take pictures. And I think Matt really enjoyed terrifying Isaac.

And I can run a whole 5k!
So that may not seem like a big deal, but having just had a baby 2 months ago I think I did pretty well. This was my third race this summer and the only one in which I did not stop and walk!

There were too many pictures to choose from. Here are a few more for your enjoyment.
If anyone is wondering, the camera we have is the Nikon D80. We just got another lens, the 50mm.
