Playing Catch Up
I had planned to be better about posting on my blog and taking pictures. I guess I kind of failed. So today we are going to be playing catch up. As probably everyone who reads this blog knows we moved at the end of January, so I will be starting with pictures right after the move.
We had only been in our new place a few days when Finn had his 8th birthday!
His cake was Terraria themed.
Since we now live so much closer to Grandpa Tony and Grandma Becky as well as Olivier, they all came for his birthday. Olivier even had a sleep over. And since our new backyard has a basketball hoop, Grandma and Grandpa got Finn a basketball.
The rest of his presents were Minecraft Lego sets. (He also got a book and a journal).
His cake with candles.
Moving on to February. It didn't take Jeff or the kids to figure out our new living room was perfect for dancing.
For Valentines Day a family in our new ward threw a Valentines Dance at the church.
And in February we got a dog. She is part long hair chihuahua and likely won't get much over 10 lbs if she even gets that big. Her name is Rise (Re-say) and she is a little puppy. We love her, but sometimes she drives us crazy with chewing on things. Also she is quite the escape artist and keeps getting out of the yard.
Now to March.
We discovered that we have beautiful cardinals who will sometimes come to our yard.
We also began to get flowers. And white spiders that blend into the flowers.
Gwendolyn and Rise enjoyed playing outside as it wasn't yet too warm nor bug (mosquito) infested.
Maes had cowboy/rodeo week at school.
And of course Easter. Jeff's family came had celebrated with us.
And on a day when electronics were banned, the kids decided to try their hands at embroidery. Nadia, however, is the only one who actually finished.
Nadia's finished piece.
Now April. Finn was able to get baptized in April and my parents were able to come out for it. (As well as almost all of Jeff's family).
And Gwendolyn had her 4th birthday. She had 3 separate celebrations.
One while my parents were still here.
A friend party.
And one on her actual birthday with just us.
Gwendolyn attempting a cartwheel.
And finally, Jeff trying to convince Rise to go out and go potty in the rain. She was having none of it.
