U2 Concert
Back in May Rich's former mission companion told us he might have extra tickets to the U2 concert Las Vegas. We've waited all summer long to hear if we could have them or not and we really didn't know for sure until last month. It was to be a quick trip but that didn't matter Rich is a big U2 fan and had never been able to see them perform live. Thursday night we find out that Cameron's wife is going to stay home to take care of two of their boys who were sick and then G threw up so we didn't know what we were going to do. G was fine in the morning, got up got dressed ate breakfast and was ready for school, but I couldn't let him go to school when the district has asked parents not to send their kids to school unless they've been symptom free for 24 hours after being sick. So he stayed home and Grandpa Moore came and picked him and the other kids up after school. We headed out to South Jordan to meet up with Cameron and find out who else was going with him. He brought his 2nd oldest son and told us that Jen was now sick herself. I felt terrible leaving her at home sick with two sick kids but what could I do. We drove down to Vegas checked into our hotel, The Plaza, went to an early dinner at the Claim Jumper, and headed over to the stadium. This is the view of the stage from our seats. Not the best but where the concert sells out in 8 minutes you take what you can get.
While we were waiting for U2 they turned the lights back on and made adjustments to the stage. After 20 or 25 mins they started this clock on the screen.
Then the lights went out again and U2 started to perform.
The Rocketship Stage's take off.

C's Volcano
On the day of D's field trip I was riding back to the school with a group Mom's and my friend asked me if I was staying to watch the Volcanoes erupt.(her daughter is in C's class) I told her I had no idea what she was talking about and she told me that the entire 5th grade made volcanoes and they were going to make them erupt at 1 o'clock. Needless to say I was a little mad and a little frustrated as I walked to C's classroom to ask him and his teacher about this assignment. I found out that he'd had a month to make the volcano, he could have done it with a partner, and they had postponed the activity because it had rained the day before, so he could've come home and said I need a volcano for tomorrow and we might've been able to turn it in on time. So I went home and started looking up how to make a volcano online and then posted on facebook a plea for a quick volcano recipe. Luckily my friend Jennifer had one and then I had to decide how I was going to give C a consequence for not telling me about a major project. The quick drying salt dough recipe my friend gave me called for alum, which I did not have and parchment paper to place the dough on to bake it dry, which was another thing I did not have. So I went up to C's bedroom, found his wallet, and when to the school to pick everyone up. When he got in the van I informed him that we were going to the store and he was going to have to buy the items I didn't have out of his own money. He was not very happy about it but I told him since he chose not to tell me about the project and we didn't have time to wait for regular salt dough to dry he had to buy the items we needed so his assignment would get done. I cost him almost 2 weeks worth of allowance. Yes I'm a charter member of the MMA (Mean Mom's Association). I hope he never does this again.

D's fieldtrip to the Pumpkin Patch
We went to the pumpkin patch with all 6 of the kindergarten classes on Oct. 15th. Our group started off by visiting the animals and play area while we waited for our turn to go get a pumpkin.
