Well, it's a little early, but we just couldn't help but try on the boys costumes tonight. Nana finished up Simon's duck costume today and we needed to make sure Dylan's fit. So on they went. And, they both look great! More fall photos to come! So far, we've managed to go to two pumpkin patches, one school fall festival and a trip to Apple Hill. By this weekend we'll have added another pumpkin patch, school fall festival and fall touch a truck event to the count. And to top everything off a fantastic trip to Disney World!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

We started our St. Patrick's Day celebration off early with a tasty corned beef dinner at Nana's house over the weekend. Simon built a leprechaun trap and we almost caught one this morning. Darn! But, luckily the little guy did leave behind some gold, which Simon quickly realized was yummy chocolate.

I didn't see any rainbows behind our house this afternoon, but it looks like Simon was treated to another form of gold. It came in the shape of diggers, graders and bulldozers working just behind our house. I think Simon could have stayed out all day just watching them drive back and forth!

Check out all the photos from our fun celebration here!

Just a Few of My Favorite Things...

  • Simon telling me he's trying to get some work done while sitting at our desk.
  • Dylan laughing like crazy every time we change his clothes.
  • Simon asking us to sing the ABC's all together.
  • Dylan smiling from ear to ear.
  • Simon cozing with us in bed in the morning, I don't know how that habit got started, and I know some might say it's contributing to his bad sleep hygiene, but I can't help but like it!
  • Dylan "singing" himself to sleep.
  • Simon telling me he has a great idea.
  • Dylan snuggling with us in bed, wrapped up like a little pea pod... oh yeah, now I remember how that habit got started with Simon!
  • Simon running up to Brandon when he walks in the door, telling him that he missed him so much.
  • Dylan getting so close to rolling over.
  • Simon having his first conversation on the phone with another little person, his cousin Jimmy.
  • Dylan watching Simon with wide eyes as he runs around like a crazy man.
  • Simon popping a pacifier in Dylan's mouth saying one for you, one for me.
...to name a few from this week!

Morning Fun...

Here’s a quick peek at a typical morning at the Peterson's. Simon loves his new picnic table. Simon, Dylan and I put it together while Brandon was at work yesterday. Just finding the socket wrench was adventure enough in Brandon's section of the garage, but we got it done.

And yes, before you ask, Simon is using a booster seat at the picnic table. Not because I thought it was a good idea, but because he loves his new seat and likes to take it around the house. Although, he didn't think it was very funny when I tried to sit in it too.

Dylan is reading; make that eating, his new Christmas dinosaur book and loving it.

Well, off to start the lengthy process to get ourselves out the door for music class!

Time flies when you're having ... a new baby

I can't believe it's been four months since I've updated our blog! I think these boys and I are finally getting into a good routine, so I can hopefully have time to make regular updates again. Prepare yourselves for a lot of super cute stories in the future! These guys are making us laugh more and more each day.

I'm working to upload photos from the past few months onto Flickr as we speak. For some reason, I had a hard time finding our memory card reader, I guess it was because I didn't think to look for it broken into three pieces and stuffed in one of Simon's flash card boxes. Silly me! Thanks Simon.

And, without futher ado, I offically introduce Dylan Lynn Peterson (formerly Baby 2.0) to the Peterson Pickle. Just three months have gone by, but we already can't imagine a day without him. Simon has already taken to calling Dylan a handful of nicknames including, Dylie, Dylie Bar and D. I'm sure Dylan hopes none of them stick for very long, but they are awfully cute for the moment.

Dylan - Three Months

I promise to make regular updates, so come back soon for more!
