Halloween 2015

Claudia and her friends dressed as colors this year and named themselves!   Claudia is "beautiful blue."   Both Claudia and Kaylea are carrying my pocketbooks for their goody bag!  

Daniel decided on his "costume" about ten minutes before he walked out the door!  So funny how much he looks like scott!   

Kaylea decided three weeks ago she was going to be Tinkerbell from the show, "Once upon a Time".  Her dress and boots came from Goodwill.  We put together her wings and hair piece ten minutes before she walked out the door!  

Samuel planned months ahead of time... A "shadow!"   Once he got to our Halloween party...  Everyone thought he was a robber... So, he went as a rubber!  Lol!   He's a funny kid!  

The kids all took off at different times and came home at different times.  So, I didn't get a family picture:(.  But here are the group shots with their trick or treating buddies.   Everyone went out by themselves!  So proud of these kids!  

The color girls returned to our basement to trade, sort, and count their loot!   Wow!  Impressive!  

It's piano time again

Once again we have a new piano teacher.   Super e cited to start again since January.  Yes, we've lost some of our ability... But in another month we are hoping to be up and running again!   

Sunday afternoon game

Settlers of Catan. 

The most favorite game my kids learned at Uncle Brooks house this summer!  The kids are addicted to it!  And, I'm okay with it...  They are laughing, chatting, competing, strategizing, and playing as a family.   This is way better than TV, video, and books...  Right now anyway;).  

Thanks Aunt Ceri for giving us the game of a happy family!  

Sundae 5k

Samuel and Claudia ran in the Carmel Middle school Sundae 5k.  I promised Samuel that I would run with him because I knew Claudia would take off and pass us...  Well, it was Samuel who smoked us!!!  He passed us and kept on going!!!  27:33 was Samuels finish time and by the time Claudia crossed... He almost already finished his sundae.

Date night

Scotts Christmas present from me was a cooking class at Sur La Table.  Yes!  It took 4 cancelled classes to actually make it to receive his gift...  We enjoyed an evening of scallops, baked trout, cod, and a fresh salad.  So yummy.  And did ya know...  We learned that everything tastes better with butter!!!  

We definitely loved the class...  And will try it again!

Washington DC

Washington DC or bust!

So exciting heading to Washington with the Yanz's to hang for a week while Scott's in a conference.  The kids loved caravaning on our drive up... Boys in our van and Eric had the girls while jamming out to Taylor Swift!  Whoo Hoo.  Great time...   

We couldn't wait to hit the Zoo... Kids loved running around looking at all the animals... I enjoyed the unique animals too, AKA... People watching!   Never a dul moment:).  

First day of school!!!

Claudia and Samuel were super excited and out the door early to catch the bus!   Here we come... Fifth grade and third grade!  Both with lots of friends in their class.  

Daniel and Kaylea waited at the stop for 20 minutes before the bus finally arrived!   With friends in tow... This year will be a great one!

Seventh for Kaylea and eighth for Daniel. 

Happy 12th birthday Kaylea!

I told my girls that advancing into young women was super exciting....  So, it's 12 when we decided would be a great time to get their ears pierced.  Even though it took 6 weeks after her birthday, it was oh, so, very exciting!!!

So proud of you Kaylea and the sweet girl that you have become!   We love you with all our hearts!

Well, I'll be!

He wanted to take the soccer goal to new house.  I told him it wouldn't fit into my van...  Hahahaha!!!!  Was I wrong!

Criterium.

We headed uptown to watch the professional criterium.  The course is a mile long which makes for a challenging race...  The bikers have to be fast, move around corners, stay focused, or your OUT!  If a biker lags behind, then the officiator blows a whistle, points a finger directly, and motions to get off the course.  It's a "big boys" race and only the best survive!!!! 

So while the family watched, Claudia played in my phone and created some amazing pictures with shots she had previously taken. 

She then moved on to creating pictures out of her food!  Too funny!!!!

Building our new tool bench.

Scott and Samuel made a great team while building the toolbench for our new house.   What a team these two made!  It is great and I told scott that now he can build me a couple new tables.  Ha!!!

Charlotte Racefest

Scott and I ran the half marathon in Charlotte Racefest with the Buhrer's.  What a great time and race.  Scott paced me so I finished for my personal best.  1:50.  Yeah for me!  

My college roomies also ran the 5 k and I got to spend time with them over the weekend!  Another great time with these girls!!!

Looking for something.

Samuel can help out with anything...  Especially when you are in Lowes trying to find a 4 hole light switch.  He looked all in the back for the right switch plate.  No luck!
