Hannah's 8th grade class went to DC in April, but because she chose a horse, she didn't go. I told her we'd go sometime. Then, when we thought Haylee would want some company until Paul got back we scheduled it for late July, but that got changed when Haylee decided to not go back to VA. So, we went for fall break, which was probably better weather and crowd wise! It was a fast paced 3 days with lots of adventures!... she hasn't been on a plane since she was 10. Our flight left Denver at 6:30pm (delayed ) and arrived in Dulles airport about 11:30pm. We then had to figure out how to pick up the rental car and find our hotel in the dark through construction and toll roads:\ We missed breakfast at the hotel that morning due to needing sleep and stopped at Walmart on the way into the city... Her first thing she wanted to do was go to the National Zoo, so we did. A good photographer would have her stand so she didn't look like she was being...
