Poor Bulat

He is sick. He has fever and tummy ache.

The doctor said he ate too much and causing him to have problem in digestion.

And, the doctor told bulat's mama to change the current milk powder which might be difficult to be digested. Ok, so SIMILAC is not so good!

As a result, Poor Bulat has to take 2 medicines (in liquid form).

Hope he will be fine today!

Father's Day

This year, we have 2 Papas at home. One is my papa and the other one is bulat's papa.

Hehe...Since my SIL is still in confinement month, we decided to tapao and eat at home. We just simply tapao Pizzas + Satays and rice + a cheesecake as dessert.

Btw, little Bulat knew that it was Father's Day! 'x' How I know that he knows? I told him lo! 'x'!!! So, he wanted to give his papa something too. But poor Bulat is still so little, what can he gives to his papa, right?

So, we spent the night eating the rojak dinner and watched the football match.

After the half match, my bro came upstair to cuddle his Bulat.

So this Bulat was OH-SO-SWEET, he knew that it was the right time to give his papa the present he had prepared the whole day. 1,2,3 *VOMIT* HAHAHAHAH Bulat shared his favourite milk with his papa!!! Both Bulat and his papa were covered with milk.

Poor little Bulat, I shouldn't have told him all about Father's day.

Bulat Oh Bulat

Bulat's age: 2 weeks + 4 days

Hee...so long din blog about him already. Sigh...do not have much free time to online lately. Play with Bulat and watch football matches keep me busy lor. PANDA

So about Bulat.

Bulat's features...hmm looks like my SIL more. LOL. Ya, I know I told you he looks like my bro's earlier. The more I look at him the more he looks like his mama now. But ho...sometimes after looking at hime for 30 mins and I turn to see my mama, I feel that my mama's face is like Bulat too. It's funny. 'x'!

Bulat loves milk! Everytime when he is awake, he will always searching for milk. He always open his mouth like the fish in the pond when you feed them. If you are holding him when he is hungry, he will treat any part of ur body that his mouth can reach to as the source of milk! ROF laughing! He really makes me laugh when he put his mouth on my arm and start to suck! He can finish up one small tin and one big tin milk powder in three weeks or less, I guess. My bro has bought 4 tins of the milk powder at one go, just in case no stock. 'x'!!! Oh, if your baby doesn't like to drink milk, maybe you can try this brand Similac. I don't know, maybe the babies have the same taste. HAHA. Basically, only milk can stop Bulat from crying.

After input, let's talk about the output! *giggle* The THOUSANDS of lampin that I mention earlier is not enough!!! Maybe because we only wash them once a day and try to avoid from using pampers ma. Hmm, now I think Bulat is like a King. We try not to use the pampers so that he is more comfortable. When he feels like to drink milk, he just cries. If you try to calm him without giving him milk, he will turn the volume louder then loudest until my neighbour's dogs not dare to bark. Then you have to give him what he want. You see, he just cries and he gets what he want. Not only that, when he drinks milk, we will fan him so that he wont sweat. Wah...so enjoy!!

EEE...Once, I was a baby too...*fall into deep thought* 'x'!

Tourism Ambassador Of Sarawak

Let me introduce our tourism ambassador to you -- Nicholas Teo.

*Applause*

I found these 2 posters, the title of the posters: Sarawak ren jian le tu (Happy Land).
Poster 1

Poster 1 shows Kuching Waterfront along River Sarawak as background. Those boats are 'sampan'. The building behind is the 'Astana'. It was built during the Rajah Brookes time. But, I doubt it is open for visiting. As a local, I have never visited Astana before. Anyway, visitors can actually take the sampan to cross the river to the other side. Last time, it only costed 20 cents to cross the river.

The sampan ride at night is quite fun though. You can enjoy the scenery along the river at night. Once, I went there with my friends and took the sampan ride. We requested the sampan owner to turn off the engine and enjoyed the silent in the middle of the river. Some sampan owner even allow you to row the sampan. One of my friend tried and we were turning round and round on the river instead of moving forward. Another friend tried and we were moving backward. Oh..those old days..sweet memory. I did not try out, but I bet the sampan will remain still.

Waterfront is indeed a nice place with pretty scenery. After all, our government has spent alot of money in it. There are eating places, a children playground, an amphitheater, musical fountain, and tower for visitor to hav a good view of Kuching.

Oh ho! The AMPHITHEATER, I have my most embarassing moment there. When I was in Form 3, I represented my school to participate in the morale story telling (in mandarin) competition. That was my very first time participate in story telling competition. Due to the lack off experience, practice and stupid story that I chose, I...stopped halfway when telling the story. *sob sob* I was so nervous when it was my turn. When I was up on the stage, my brain was not functioning properly (HAHA). I forced it to remember all the WORDS in the story. Then I saw my teacher taking photo for me. DIE, all the words gone after the flash light!!! sob sob. I stood there not knowing what to do next: should I walked down or what? HAHA...I do not know how I managed to continue the story after like 1 minute's pause. Ah...I tell this in public? I cant believe myself! LOL

Poster 2

Poster 2 shows an Iban man standing next to Nicholas. Iban has the biggest popularity in Sarawak. Erm, I am a bit shi bai la, I do not understand their language. HAHA..

Photos taken when Nicholas Teo was singing.

His fans under the BIG SUN.

The flier distributed are fully used by some fans as small umbrella or fan.

This is a historical building in Kuching. It is a court before and now it is the Tourism Board.

Welcome to our Happy Land. Why we call it a Happy Land? Hmm You didn't notice Nicholas's SMILE?!! Happy Land grows Happy Man.

By the way, I like his new songs especially: PAPA MAMA

Word Verification?

What's wrong?

I take a while to find out my mistake. The third letter is a 'v', not 'u'.

Now, what is the purpose of the word verification thingy?

To test whether I always make mistake when typing?

To test my eyes sight?

OR

To show that i am a handicap?

That was actually the third attempt when I tried to post a comment in a blog.

Friends, can you please turn off the word verification thingy for the poor redsponge who is a handicap now?

*sob sob*

Hilma's Wedding

Hilma is one of the five malays classmates in my F4&F5 class. Attended her wedding this morning at Holiday Inn. This is the first time I attend a Malay wedding and I find it quite interesting.

When I first received the invitation, I was wondering do they receive ang pao. It is abit stupid of me when I have to phone my friend Eileen (who actually helps Hilma to invite us) asking her that "Can we give ang pao?" And she answered "Well, there is no rule saying that you cannot give ang pao." Hmmm...She continued "I bought a present for her already." Oh...so I decided to buy present and share with ccw, okk and apple.

This morning, at the wedding ceremony, I saw 2 chairs up on the stage like what you see from the book. When the couples walked in, they went straight to the stage and sat down on the chairs. After the Membaca Doa (Praying) session, the MC read up a poem about the bridegroom and bride. Ah, from there I know Hilma met her husband in Ireland when studying there. Then there is this eating Nasi Temuan (that is rice with raisin) session. A referee was invited up onto the stage. When she open up the cover, the couple had to take some rice to eat. They competed with each other who is faster. After 3 rounds, the results is BOTH WIN. YEAH! Erm, I am not sure why they have to compete, maybe just to make the eating Nasi Temuan to be more fun. The next session is cutting the wedding cake.

Now, let's move back to our table. On the table, the dishes are placed at the center. When I said DISHES, it means that all the dishes are placed on the table at one time. Unlike the Chinese Wedding, we enjoy one dish after another and sometimes you have to wait for half an hour before the next dish is presented. Other than that, each of us are served with 2 glasses of water (plain water and coke) and an empty cup for coffee/tea at the end of the lunch.

I really really wish to take photo of the dishes on the table for you all, but I was just too hungry! 'x'!!! I woke up late and did not take breakfast ma.

So...there another pair of Putera and Puteri living happily ever after! =)

Rojak Research

During the long, HOT Gawai holidays, I eat ROJAK almost everyday for tea break in the afternoon.

Day 1 (June 1, 2006), I had my first rojak at the garden near near SRB Chung Hua No.3. The ingredients include timun, turnip (thanks pinkcotton, I never know that mengkuang is turnip!), dried tauhu, sotong (brown), grained peanut and rojak paste. HMMMMMM...where is the pineapple???

Then I heard someone from behind saying:
"Ah leng ah, you have to tell people that what are the ingredients that has finished already, do not just simply take order!!"

CIS...

Anyway, was abit disappointed with the Rojak ler, the paste is not YUMMY and not spicy at ALL!

****************

Day 2 (June 2, 2006), I had rojak at Old Rex Cafe (Behind Singapore Chicken Rice at Rubber Road). Not satisfied with the one I had the day before ma. This time, the first thing I asked, "Got pineapple not?" "No, finish already."

SOB SOB

Still ordered one plate from her la. The ingredients are timun, turnip, dried tauhu and rojak paste. This time the rojak paste taste better and is a little bit spicy (very little bit). I do not take spicy food, so you will know how little is the spicy taste.

BUT no pineapple wo.

***********

Day 3 (June 3, 2006), my bf suggested to have rojak at Ice Stone at Saberkas. Since it is "TAKE what you like" (then pay according to the weight), so I put all the fruits that I like. The ingredients are timun, dried tauhu, fried you cha kueh, jambu air, mango (slurp), pineapple (YEAH), rojak paste and lime juice (optional).

MmMmMmMmMm ... finally...rojak with pineapple and the rojak paste is a little bit spicy *open mouth BIG and ARMMM*... mMmMmMmm

The most satisfying rojak!!!

****************

Day 4 (June 4, 2006), no more rojak. HAHA...actually we plan to eat rojak der...but...I cant finish my work in time lor. =(

I know there is rojak stall at Open Air and Song Keng Hai Market. Where else got ROJAK? hmm...so the research is not yet completed lor. Anyone volunteer to continue and list all the rojak stall in Kuching?

What's New?!

Red Sponge is welcoming you all to visit her playground in the Castle: Red Garden.

HAHAH!

Just created this new blog (http://redgarden.blogspot.com) to cater all the entries on flower arrangement.

Red Sponge is getting rojak already.

My original idea to have http://redsponge.blogspot.com is to keep it as my diary. Then later, I treat it as my external hard disk to store my memories.

These few days, am trying to sort it out. Finally, I decided to open the back door connected to the garden at the back of the Castle. The garden is not big, no way for you to get lost. Feel free to visit me there. Updates to the Red Garden would be made when there is new work being created.

The World Cup fever is back!! Which team you like? I like France, Spain and Brazil. I am not a big fan of the world cup. I just watch for fun and know little about the teams and players. See what I can remember from the previous world cup.

I like to watch this bald goalkeeper -- Fabien Barthez from France team in action. I think he is the only goalkeeper that is good at drawing people's attention. He is always the one shouting angrily in the field. Ah, I think the goalkeeper from Germany, Oliver Kahn is good. Though he is not very good looking, but he is very professional. By the way, Germany team is my bf's favourite and that's why I watch them play.

Spain, a country that is in my favourite list. I like the language. Erm, ok, I just like the team because i like the country. HAHA. Hmm...I can only remember one of the player, Raul, who is quite handsome.

To me, Brazil = Football. So, if you ask me to watch World Cup, I am sure that I will not miss matches play by this King of Football. I like the players's names end with O such as Ronaldo, Roberto, Ronaldinho, etc, the name are so cute. Heee...

Hmm, even though I am not a big fan, I do get addicted after watching a few minutes. Will always finish the whole match. It should be so fun to watch the matches live in Germany this year.

*TING*
Ok, so watching world cup LIVE would be one of the items in my wish list. Yeah!

Something NEW: A Chat Box

HEE...bulat is sleeping...

I did not plan anything for this LONG holiday. Oh...It's the Ari Gawai holiday for today and tomorrow here. On this Saturday, Malaysians are going to celebrate Agong's Birthday. So I have 4 days of holiday. Am abit aimless sitting at home waiting for bulat to wake up and play with me!

So here I am tidying up my blog.

I just get my blog a free chat box on the side bar. A RED one, of course.

Also put up all the links for the most frequently visit blogs. And now I can have shorter Favorites list in my IE browser. At the same time, am creating the one-stop page for myself. I can visit your blogs using any pc with just a click!

Bulat wakes up already! TATA

Baby finally home

From now on, I will call my nephew bulat in this blog...his face is bulat.

Bulat is sweet when sleeping. He smiles when sleeping. Hee

Bulat is cutest when sipping the milk from the little cup. You should listen to the sound he makes when he drinking milk. CHUP CHUP CHUP...as if he has been starved for days. LOL.

Bulat is bising when crying. He cries alot. My ears abit cacat already. Sometimes I thought I heard him crying when he is not.

Bulat does not like people to take off his clothes. We always fail to change his clothes before he started to cry. LOL.

Dear Bulat, Good Night!
