We have lived in Provo, St. Louis, Travis AFB, Guam, England, Germany, Vacaville (CA), Austin (TX) and now we get to try out life in Florida. Never a dull moment at our crazy house...

School begins again...

1st day of school...  Madi and Eliza are seniors, and Rachel is a freshman.  They leave for the day at 5:40, to attend seminary (a New Testament class at our church building) from 5:50-6:35.  Then school is from 7 a.m - 1:45 p.m.
Josh leaves at 7:30 for middle school. He's in 6th grade now.  I am all finished with elementary school.
Walking to the cafeteria at the high school, there are these pictures on the wall...
... one of the pics has these 3 nerds from Nerd Day!

Rachel's summertime

Mara, Vanessa, and Rachel, in Vanessa's backyard (yes, she has an amazing backyard!).  One of my favorite things about Florida is the way the sky looks -- it is usually breathtaking.

More yogurt!  Saying good bye to Mara before she moved.  Sad day.
 Floating down Turkey Creek
 Rachel's the Quesadilla Queen
 Off to a Hawaiian Dance
Playing guitar on the beach at Seaside
Rachel loves finding treasures at Goodwill on the 50%-off-clothes day.  After she found this strapless formal, we bought matching fabric at the fabric store, and Rachel sewed on these sleeves.  Now it is her Beauty and the Beast dress, for the ward trunk or treat.

Best food of summer....

 Frozen yogurt and sorbet!

We also visited Eliza at Dairy Queen, to watch her in action.

Seaside (home of the Truman Show)

Eliza and Madi loved finding a cute vegan cafe in this touristy beach town

This is the market, where part of the "Truman Show" was filmed

Josh the crab

Josh spent a week in July on  base, in the play "Blackbeard the Pirate".  He was a crab and enjoyed the experience.

Day out with Josh

No one else around here was interested in visiting our little local Gulfarium, so Josh and I had a day on the (beach) town.

This dolphin loved Josh!  A woman was dying to see the dolphin up close, so Josh moved and let the lady approach the window.  The dolphin immediately swam away.

We used our coupon book coupons for a free go-cart ride and a free game of mini golf.  Josh loved it!

Feeding the fish

Just hanging around the house...

 Stick pull...

 Wow!  Rachel is so flexible!
 Just like Josh
Umm...  do you think they have too much time on their hands?

We love hanging out with our ward's missionaries.  Here's Elder Spencer before he got transferred to Georgia
