Thanksgiving Dinner

It's Saturday night and we just got home from our belated thanksgiving dinner with our dear friends, Debbie and Patrick, Priya and Eli. Shannon and Seth are here too - visiting from Baltimore. It has been a blast to have everyone together and they've been a tremendous help with the children. It's surprising that they still want to have kids after what they've seen. Shannon gave us a great gift as well -- she took River out for a walk so we could have some time alone. We've been out on a couple of dates already but never have we been left home without him. These are huge steps. I am still adjusting to how much our life has changed with the addition of River and am hopeful that we will figure out how to include him in our adventures. I think our first adventure will be a short hike this week. Stay tuned!

Rolling Over

We finally figured out how to publish a movie. This is River rolling over last week. Be patient, it's worth it!

Chubby Cheeks

It may not be obvious from his pictures, but our chubby boy is putting on some weight! At the pediatrician's today he weighed 9 pounds, 6 ounces and measured 26 1/2 inches long. He is long and thin!

Smiling

We spent Saturday lazing around. Here is what we did in between naps...

12 Weeks

Welcome to our blog! We are finally emerging from the postpartum fog and just in time to be amazed by River's latest developments. He surprised us by rolling over several times this week! He is quite strong for his little size. Last week he weighed 8 pounds 5 ounces but we're hoping to break 9 pounds by next week's weight check. River loves to spend time on his belly and has started to take short naps in his bassinet much to our delight!
