Another I missed from the 4th of July.  Ty was not happy.

Today it was cold

Just a little reminder of warm Julys past:
I like his creative gun holster, look closely.

Of course the little princesses are sun bathing.

I put a little water in the back for him to splash in and he had climbed into it seconds after.

It Came

I cried.

I thank God every day in my prayers for the gift of being his mother.  I am blessed.

School Pictures

Nothing makes it feel like Autumn quite like school pictures.  I thought I would try out the brown background with Lauren and I actually really like how it turned out.  I love these kids so much, fake cheesy smiles and all.
Lauren has only had to flip her behavior card to yellow one time, for excessive laughing; imagine that.

Obsessed with Braids!

This picture isn't that great, but I loved this style!

tiny, loose French braid into a low pony

My fav, just French Braids all the way back.

How I did her hair for pictures, also the same as the top picture.

single-sided, front French braid
I can do this one a lot more neatly now.

I like to part the front of her hair off to the side before braiding.

This one always turns out so nice!  It looks so pretty on her.
It took me a solid month of doing her hair and watching online French braid tutorials before I could make a decent braid.  Sadly, I never learned to French braid and I almost gave it up as a bad job.  I stuck to it though because French braids on a little girl have always been my favorite.  So, if I can learn to do it,  anyone else can, too.
I can't wait until Lil's hair is long enough to braid, her super blond hair will look so pretty in a braid and I am now equiped with the ability to do it!

Real Life Steam Train!

<>
Look at how huge those wheels are!

Sorry for being lazy and staying in bed with Tyler, hunny, but it was early on a Saturday!  You're awesome for taking the rest of the kids, they loved it!  Then they got back in time for me to hit my Saturday morning gym class.

What am I doing this Saturday morning?  Cuddling up with my family in our jammies and watching the LDS semi-annual general conference!  I love conference weekend!  Now I need to go buy a new puzzle we can do at the table while we listen to the second session.  The kids act like brats get restless at this point and need something to keep their hands busy so they can be quiet and concentrate, or at least let Brett and me concentrate.  Any ideas on where to get a great seasonal puzzle?  I've come up empty handed.

Oh!  This Saturday is also the annual Civil War revival meet up in Emmett, Idaho.  We'll be there for the 3rd year in a row; lets see if we can keep the tradition alive and get rained on yet again!
