only 1 month late

Trenton the werewolf! At school each teacher was able to pick 2 kids that they thought had the best costume to go down to the office and then the principal picked a winner with the best costume. Trenton was picked by his teacher as the best in his class. The principal picked a kid dressed as Pinocchio as the winner. But all of the kids got to go on a field trip the next day to Mcdonalds for lunch! If you know Trenton well enough then you know that this was one of the happiest days of his life! Also, his teacher later told me that all of the teachers thought that he should've won!

Can you believe it?

Starting to add pics for your viewing pleasure. I tried adding some of our Halloween pics as a post yesterday but for some reason they wouldn't load. I'll try again tomorrow! Hope you enjoy. Keep coming back for more!

ONLY 3 DAYS LEFT!!!!!!!

Hey all, if you aren't aware my little brother Jared is in an online competition on famecast.com and he really needs your votes. He started in 4 stages and is now still in 1 stage going for the top 10! he has been ranking between 12-16th and could really use more votes. All you do is go to www.famecast.com then first if you haeven't registered with them you will have to do this. It only takes a few min and you will get an email to complete your registration. Once you click on the link from your email it will take you back to famecast.com where you can log in. Once you log in type seastrand in the search area He will them come up and you will be able to select him to go to his video. After that you will see a check mark in a circle and the word, "VOTE" after you have voted a pop up will come up saying that you have successfully voted. You then can vote for him once a day!! PLEASE, PLEASE take the time to vote for him. If he makes the top 10 then he will move on to the top 5 round and you will be able to continue voting for him. If he makes top 5 then he goes to Houston to compete for the finals and it will be broadcast on t.v. and if he wins then not only will he get major exposure but also 10K. If you at least register If it is ok with you I will even put your vote in everyday for him. You just have to tell me your password that you chose. In fact I want him to win so bad that I will even register for you and all you will have to do is click on the link in your email so that your registration will be complete. I really would like to see him go far. He is very talented and has been working really hard!! Thanks to all who have already been voting and to all who will help him out!! You guys are the best!!

To Quit or not to Quit

I need some parental advice........... so the High School is putting on "Annie get your gun" They needed 4, 5th grade girls and 4, 5th grade boys to be extras in the play. So Malory was really excited and decided to try out. She was chosen as one of the girls and before she even tried out we had to sign a form saying that if she was chosen we would attend a mandatory mtg on the 8th of Oct. and that we would agree to the kids making all of the rehearsals etc. (at that time not knowing even when rehearsals would be) So we go to the mtg on the 8th to find out that she will end up missing 4 volleyball games and the kicker..... They have a dress rehearsal on Halloween. Well, Malory was kind of bummed about it at first but decided that this would be a fun opportunity and we signed in forms etc. saying she would be involved. So she goes to her first rehearsal tonight and comes home completely upset saying that she wants to quit. Her reasons being that they are only bringing them on stage like 2 times, they aren't even singing or saying anything, they are sitting in the hallway the rest of the practice getting yelled at if they even say 2 words, her so called stage mama isn't even helping her, it isn't anything like they said it would be, they now have a mandatory practice on a Sunday and she feels that it is not worth missing volleyball and especially Halloween. So, my dilemma, do I let her quit or not? By the way she said if I didn't let her quit then next practice she would get into her bed and I would have to drag her out to get her to go. She is in all honesty pretty upset.

my calling

I guess, I forgot to tell everyone. But now some of you know. my calling in our ward is the 2nd counselor in the primary presidency. My sis in law is the president so it will be good to work with her. I guess I am in charge of the program. Kellie has already given me some great ideas, thanks kellie, but if anyone else has any I would love to hear them. (Tash, I know you've had your fair share of experience in the primary). Thanks!

Raegen is 1yrs old!!

I know, I know I am getting behind in my blogs! We have been so busy. And I know that I have been saying I would post more pics and I will soon. I seriously haven't had time to even sit down and load my pics from my camera on to the computer so I can add them. But I will soon. So as most of you know Raegen turned 1 on Sept. 21st. We had a big old ragin' party!! not really. But I can't believe she is 1!! Tash~ please don't feel like you have to send her something but if you want she really could use more 12 to 18 mos. clothes. But no pressure!! Kellie, unfortunately I will not be in Utah on Oct. 11th or anywhere near that time. which totally bums me out! At this point I don't think I will be back til next summer. But you know I am closer to you now then when I was in Utah. Just a short 3 hours for both of us and we could meet in the middle!!

up, up and away

So, the other day I am in the kitchen and I hear Reagen making noise. Then I realize hmmm it sounds like she is upstairs. So I go to the bottom of the stairs and she is standing at the top holding on to the banaster!! I did let her crawl up them the day before with me behind her to see if she could do it and she did. And she remembered and did it on her own. Time for a gate!

Heebie Jeebies, Wim Wams or Oogies

Call them what you want, I had my fare share yesterday. So I wake up to get ready to go to my dance class and the phone rings. My sis-in-law picks up and it is the RS pres. Apparantely a 70ish yr old woman from our ward shot and killed herself the night before. I guess she suffered from depression, anxiety, hording etc. Her kids came over to help her clean up the piles of newspaper and magazines and junk laying around. She had a freak out went to her bedroom and shot herself. So guess who was asked to go help get her dressed in her Temple clothes? Yes, me, squeamish, squeamish me. Then, on the way to dance my sis-in-law jumps and yells, AHH a snake!! You just ran over a snake! I think it may have already been dead but you still ran over it! Ok seriously snakes are like the worst thing for me and the thought of a dead carcass on my car!! OOOOOOOH! And now I know for real that they are in the area. Which by the way it was a rattle snake. And don't worry it is not over yet. So then after we get home I am upstairs on the 2nd level of the house in my room, getting ready and I look out the window to see a Tarantula about the size of my hand clinging to the outside of the window!!!!! HELLO, seriously enough is enough! My hair on edge I couldn't believe it. Apparently their is a Tarantula migrating season coming soon and they will be crossing the street looking for a mate and we will be driving over them. Crunch, Crunch, Crunch. Well I guess this is what I get for moving to Texas!

Am I going nuts!

I started a dance class last night! I know crazy huh. But I have been wanting to dance again for the longest time but I always felt so stupid. But funny thing, it is an adult jazz class and there were all sorts of different shapes, sizes and ages of women from early twenties to.... hold on...... a women in her 60's!!!! I was always so afraid people would think I was an idiot whatever.
Who cares what people think! It was a blast and a great work out too! But don't get to excited, no I didn't wear a tutu. Maybe next week though!

I know that I just started and I did like my heading name but I think I am going to change it. I really wanted it to say...... The stars at night are big and bright deep in the heart of Texas! and picture saying it in a pee-wee herman voice. But there wasn't enough space for that. So I've decided to take on Natasha's new name for me and name it Yellow Rose.

I was so excited to get on the computer today and see that people are viewing and adding comments. I think I am really going to like this blogging thing! Lets get ready to rumble

Ok, I have had request by my sister and by my friend Kellie to start up my own blog. So I thought being down in Texas it might be a fun way to keep in touch and keep it updated with pics etc. Also, Kellie said it is a great way to make sure you are journaling!! Very important!! So starting off..... I am going to go work out today with a bunch of ladies at the methodist church in town and then I am going to my first weight watchers here in Borger later today. Wish me luck!
