Dinner with Jeff and David

This evening Sean and I traveled down to Provo to visit Jeff and David for dinner. Anne happened to be in the area and crashed the party. We had delicious pasta with chocolate bars for desert. The boys spent the time entertaining us on their latest adventures with RUBY and girl 'drama'.

One Long Night

I missed Emmy's tired cues last night and paid for it dearly. Last night was Emmy's 'worst' night to date. Instead of calming down she spend the majority of the night squirming on me and kicking her legs. She had to be held or she would cry and cry. Needless to say, I slept in the family room so Sean could have a restful night sleep. Emmy finally calmed down but it was right when the 6 o'clock alarm went off. This is how I felt.

But Emmy is currently asleep. I am happy with that and getting my To-Do List taken care of. But I have a feeling that I might join Emmy sooner than I think.

Late Night Studying

Morning Walk

Today started out pretty well with a walk down the street. Emmy was a little restless starting out but calmed right down when she was outside. She really enjoys being outside because of all the new sounds and smells. I enjoyed it too. There is something to be said about just getting out in nature. In a way it reboots me. My goal is to have a walk every day. Here you can see Emmy hanging out in her stroller. She is donning her BYU attire as well. Go COUGARS!

The 2 Week Appointment

Today Emmy had her 2 week appointment. She is gaining weight quite well. She is officially 8 pounds and 9 ounces! Here she is.... our little burrito!

Grandma Hinckley

Grandma Hinckley was able to stay with me for over a week to help me adjust to life as a new mom. We were able to get many things 'done'... like figuring out night times! and changing diapers. Thanks Mom for all your help.

Arrival Day!

Emmy Pamela Smith was finally born August 26, 2012 at 2:12 pm in the Timpanogos Hospital. She came via C-Section due to some complications but all was well and her mother and father are so happy she is finally here with us!

The 4th of July

I know that the 4th of July was a ways back but I thought that I would post a picture. Sean and I headed up to Kaysville, UT to hang out with the Smith Clan. We enjoyed lots of food (yum) and here we are at the parade. Thank goodness for the shade. Parades are so much better with shade.
