On Christmas Eve we had our Dinner in Bethlehem dinner and then watched Luke 2. It is a fun little tradition.

After dinner the kids got to open their buckets. They were so excited!

They loved their pajamas and slippers!

 David loves his Cars mat!

Taylor loves her stroller!

Sam got me an Omni-heat Columbia jacket and a pea coat! I am so excited!

Sunday Pictures

My girls actually let me curl their hair on Sunday. So we had to get some pictures.

Yeah, that is how our life is. At least we got all the kids in most of them, right?

They loved our Elf on the shelf, Dash.
Merry Christmas!!

Great Examples

Last year our kids decided to start collecting spare change so they could help someone in need next Christmas.  They did a great job saving all year and got many donations.

After counting the money up it totaled $70.34.

We took it to the Road Home shelter in Salt Lake.  The kids saw many homeless people and even a young girl on the streets. We explained how the money they gave would help feed and clothe those who couldn't afford to do it.  We are so proud of them!
Jessica even said she just wanted money for her birthday so she could give it to help someone. We are blessed to have such great examples of Christ like service and love.  We couldn't be more proud of our kids! They are starting to save up again to do it next year!

Grinch Dinner

We had a fun Grinch dinner last night. It really was a fun evening and the kids loved it! I got the idea from here.

Who pudding (I found it on the Dr Seuss Website)

I just checked the blog I got the idea from and realize I somehow got the wrong recipe for the Who Hash. This one ended up like a lasagna, which was good, but not how we imagined Who Hash. Guess I will have to try to actual recipe provided.

 Grinch Punch

I also cooked up a whole chicken for our Roast Beast. We finished the evening off with watching the movie,  How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
I guess I didn't get any pictures with the kids. Better work on that :)

She was in timeout- it looks like she is in jail.

Temple Square

We made our trip to Temple Square on Sunday. The kids enjoyed the lights and seeing the Christus as always.

Davidisms

Dad: "David, aren't you going to come give me a hug?"
David: "Are your hands dirty?"
Dad: "Yes"
David: "Then I am staying away."

David had been tickling Taylor during the sacrament and she was giggling very loud
Dad: "David, no tickling during the sacrament"
David: "My tickley bones are making me do it."

David is now is a booster seat in the car, which means he is learning to put his seat belt on by himself.
David: "Mom, is it today or yesterday or tomorrow?"
Mom:" Its today." (a bit confused)
David: "Oh, ok, I can put my seat belt on myself then. I can only buckle it if its today or yesterday, but I can't tomorrow." (He can buckle himself in just fine without any help)

Every time we get in the car now, he asks what the day is. Thank goodness its always today so he can always buckle himself in.

Taylor Christmas Party

We had a great Christmas Party with the Taylors last weekend. It was full of fun games and good company, Thanks Courtney for planning it!
The kids acted out the Nativity again, a favorite of mine (and I think the kids)

Then we played some minute to win it games

The gift all of us pitched in for our parents, they are remodeling their closet, bathroom and bedroom.
Merry Christmas!
