The World Thru Riley's Eyes

So Riley has been saving up all her Christmas money ,Birthday money and change she finds around the house. Finally she had enough to purchase a digital camera. She was so excited to go shopping for a camera. At first she just wanted it to be pink,but then after looking @ all the cameras,she realized that a red samsung was the best deal. This camera came w/a case and a memory card. We had to order it online. So we waited and waited to what seemed like forever to Riley. She pulled it out of the box and hasn't stop snapping photos since she had it. She carries EVERYWHERE w/her. It is so cute. So now I will post some photos that Riley has taken. ENJOY!

I found this old photo of the kids and thought it was so cute,so I am posting. These were the good ol' days when Riley and Evan got along............oh how I miss those days.

Family Visit

OK,I'm not the best @ this but,I will try to keep up. We went to Cincinnati this past week to visit Johnny's family and to say farewell to his brother Eddie before going to Iraq.We went to the Museum and the Zoo while visiting, The kids had a great time,as well as I. We had such a fun time! Enjoy the pictures.

New Pictures

Here r some recent pictures I took of the kids Saturday(Sept 20th). As usual Johnny is gone so we spent our day in the yard,that when I decided to play with my camera. I actually got a picture of Evan smiling,he is so hard hard headed when it comes to pictures(I blame this on his Dad). Riley loves to take pictures but, sometimes she cam be a little cheesy. So as you can see photo time is no fun,but we always at least get one decent one.
On another note,Riley is doing very well in school and has been "caught being good" several times,which earns her special prizes from the Principal. We are very proud of her and,hope that she can continue to enjoy school through out life as much as she does now.

Riley's Big Catch

So Johnny bought a fishing pole on his last trip to keep him busy during his down time away from home. He brought it home and thought it would be great to take the kids. So we headed down the street to a dock that opens up into the Albemarle Sound. So the whole time we are driving there Riley is saying "I can't wait to catch a fish" and Johnny's response is " Riley sometimes it takes a long time to catch a fish,maybe even hours sometimes it takes people 2 or 3 trips before they catch one,Daddy hasn't caught one yet and he's been fishing a couple of times." So we get there and throw the line in several dozen times,Riley then comes up to me and says" Mommy I don't care if we catch a fish,I'm just glad we are having a great time" (my heart melted). It's getting late and Johnny says this is the last time does anyone want to hold the line, Riley volunteers. Johnny hands her the reel and she starts bringing it in,then it starts to get harder then the line takes off! Johnny grabs the pole and and starts reeling it in,we lift it up and it's a FISH! ON her First fishing trip she catches a fish,unbelievable! So we go home and do a little research and we find out she caught a Grey Trout. Needless to say we were so proud of her as well as she being proud of herself. What a great day!
