More Sheldon

Here are a couple of videos of Sheldon.  He learned he has vocal chords and loves to scream anytime he wants to express himself happy or sad.

A much needed update with Mr. Sheldon

We have needed to update the blog for a long time.  Sheldon James Lamb was born April 1st 2012, 7 lb 1 oz, 20.5 inches long.  An April Fools baby.  Here are a sample of pictures we have taken over the last 4 months.  Overall Sheldon is a very happy baby.  He is easy to please and easy to smile.  He is starting to sleep through the night and he makes life really fun.

36 weeks down. 4 to go.

Well time sure is flying.  Lisa hit 36 weeks yesterday so we are in the home stretch.  Life is crazy.  Lisa is still working as a personal trainer.  She plans on working until she has the little guy.  We just went to doctor Monday and everything is looking great.  Lisa has had a near perfect pregnancy so far.  She was even dilated to 2 cm.  Who knows, we may not make it to April 17th.

Seth is still doing the whole grad school thing.  This semester has a pretty heavy homework load and he is also starting to really work on his thesis so he is pretty swamped.  We are really excited for our little guy to come though.  We will keep you all posted.

IT'S A BOY!!!

Today we had the second ultrasound.  We were really excited to finally hear what we were having.  Lucky for us the first thing we saw when she started the ultrasound was his equipment so it's a boy.  The due date is still April 17th.  Lisa is started to get a pretty serious baby bump.  We bought a crib and set it up.  We also got the baby carrier and stroller too.  Time is sure flying.  Lisa is now at 20.5 weeks which means we are half way there.

Lisa at 20.5 weeks.

The best shot of the face we could get!

He hid behind his hands the whole time.
The Crib.  We still need to get the other stuff for it.
The creepy 3D picture.  The baby was crammed into Lisa's hip so it didn't come out well

Proof He is a Boy!!!

Summer Update

We have now lived in Lincoln for almost three months. We love it here. The people we meet are very nice and our ward is amazing. The only complaint we have is the heat and humidity we experienced for the entire month of July. Other than that we love our apartment and our neighborhood.

Seth just recently finished his summer field work, his research, and is now working on compiling all of the data and starting his thesis. He starts classes August 22nd and is taking 9 credits. He is very grateful to not be mucking around is swine manure anymore.

Lisa is working very hard as a personal trainer at Prairie Life Fitness. She has done really well and was already given employee of the month in her second month at the gym. She still wants a lot more clients but she is doing very well for only starting in May. She teaches a bootcamp class at 5:30 in the morning which is mildly killing her, but her bootcamp has one of the bigger classes taught at prarie life. While the selling herself as a trainer aspect at the gym isn't her favorite she loves training people.

This Wednesday we are flying to Utah for a quick Summer vacation. We are going to spend a couple days in Garland and then a couple days in Rexburg before we have to fly back next Monday. It will be a quick trip but it should be fun. We look forward to seeing family and friends. We are also planning on attending Seth's five year class reunion while we are in Rexburg. It should be fun.

We are finally in Nebraska and all settled in. We figured we would show a few pictures of our apartment. Everything in the apartment is new and it was spotless when we moved in. We were so happy that we actually got a clean, nice on campus apartment. Our neighborhood is amazing too. We love our neighbors and they are all so nice.

There are a lot of trees here and even more squirrels. It is fun to be doing the dishes and watch them run around in the trees.

Here is our bedroom. It is a small room but we like it.

Our bathroom is tiny. I don't think I have ever had one this small. It reminds me of a hotel bathroom. This is the only thing that we would prefer to have a little bigger.

This picture shows our dining room. The kitchen is to the right of this room. There is also a back door. We love that we actually have a back door.

These pictures are obviously of our living room. We really like that the living room and dining room are very open.

This is a picture of our apartment building. There are four apartments, two upstairs and two downstairs. We are in the bottom left apartment, with the tree in front of the window. We were really happy to get the bottom one because it has larger windows and a back door. There is also a basement storage area.

Now that we are here Seth is doing his research. He starts officially Tomorrow but he has done some training already. I got a job as a Health Fitness Specialist (Personal Trainer) at Prairie Life Fitness, and I start tomorrow.

Graduation!

Well today Lisa and I graduated fro Utah State University. We both walked at the engineering graduation. It was an incredible end to a lousy load of late nights, mountains of homework, and bad grades. Now we are off to Lincoln Nebraska. We have our entire apartment packed into a Uhaul and we will take off at 6:00 AM tomorrow morning. Wish us Luck!!!

Life in Fastforward

Well life is hectic. We are both graduating in two weeks, well less than two weeks, more like a week and 6 days This week is dead week at school so we are preparing for finals and finishing up big projects. We are packing up our apartment and figuring out the logistics of moving.
As far as big news, Lisa passed her ACSM Health Fitness Specialist certification exam last Tuesday. Once she graduates she will be the real deal. We got somewhere to live in Lincoln. It was looking pretty scary for a while but we luckily got on campus housing 5 minutes away from campus. As far as our timetable looks May is gonna be crazy. Seth's birthday is on the 1st, we graduate on the 7th and move on the 8th. Our 2 year anniversary is on the 9th and Seth starts his masters work at the USDA-ARS on the 11th. Then to wrap it all up Lisa's birthday is on the 18th.
We are on the move but we are happy. We will update more as we get into this new phase of our life.

NEBRASKA

We decided it is time to update again. I am sure most people already know but Seth has been officially accepted to the University of Nebraska -Lincoln (UNL). He got an assistantship so his graduate school will be paid for. We will be moving to Lincoln at the beginning of May right after graduation.
On another note, both Seth and I are graduation on May 7th. We are so excited for all of the new changes that are about to happen.
