Santa comes to school

We went to visit Santa at the school Christmas store. Adley was so excited in line, but as you can see she was not at all thrilled to be on Santa's lap. Coltrin has a long list of things he wanted, and of course had to rattle off every last one. Sades thinks she has this whole Santa thing figured out. The people in the stores and all around are just helpers. So she was sure this was not the real Santa. She played a long any way. We even took Santa a little treat, a peanut butter tree, and a cute book. Thanks so much Santa for coming to our school!

Coltrin wants a baby.....

While we were driving around looking at all the twinkling lights Coltrin asks me when he is going to have a baby. Hmmm.... Mark says when he gets married. "Well whens I gonna get married then"? We both say, "When you are old like us." "Well hows I gonna get a baby"? I just said that when you get married the girl has the baby. He gets really sad. "I don't get the baby"? "Oh, I's never gonna get a baby!" He has been extremely worried about babies. However, mom and dad are not ready for that whole conversation yet!

Time Out!

When we rearranged our family room Adley found the perfect spot for time out. She was very entertained with her favorite new spot. So much so, that she was very upset when we asked her to sit down. What a crazy girl!

Thanksgiving means......Uncle Jeffie comes to town!

Uncle Jeffie, Aunt Carol, Steven, Julie, Jacob, and Scott all came in for thanksgiving break and stayed with us. It was crowded, but still fun . Sades even got to share her room with her fav cousin Julie. We took a trip to the bowling alley and had a blast watching the kids bowl. Lets just say that none of us have a chance to make it to the bowlolympics. After bowling the guys and kids went to a BYU basketball game. It sure is fun when Uncle Jeffie and fam come to town. Wish they lived closer!!!!!

I Am Thankful For...... Food Of Course!

This year we celebrated Thanksgiving with just our little family and Grump and Grandma at our home. It was different and actually relaxing after everything was prepared. I actually prepared and cooked my very first and my very last Turkey! Disgusting! As I was reading the instructions all I could think was I have to put my hand where and what? Not to mention trying to defrost the big old sucker. I felt like I was bathing a dead person in my sink. There were definite moments that I thought I was going to puke and that I should just wake up Mark and make him do it. After all, I don't even eat the stuff. Oh yeah, and then there's the whole stuffing the thing. Gross! This year I am Thankful for other people who cook Thanksgiving! Truthfully, I am thankful for my family and all that they do, for Mark and all the hard work he does to take care of us and for putting up with me, for my kids (when they mind) and all the joy they bring into my life, and for my friends who keep me laughing. Happy Thanksgiving!

All Lit UP!

When I walked outside this is what I saw. Nice! Yup, Dad thought it was a good idea for the kids to help hang lights on the house. I beg to differ. Just looking at them made me sick. The house is decorated and no one has any injuries, so I guess we are good!

Dammas Birthday November 21, 2009

Adley know this is her chair and she also knows right where to find it. She loves to eat at dammas house.
Grandma Merilyn is so hot. I hope to be this drop dead sexy when I turn Forty!
It's not looking to good in this pic. I already look like I am fifty. Maybe I can be hot at sixty?!
Baylee just loves her picture taken. Good thing she was well equipped with her hoodie to hide her face.
Happy Birthday to Grandma Merilyn. I think she turned forty again this year! I don't know. She was born in 1950, so you do the math. She is a wonderful grandma and the grandkids are lucky to have her in their lives. Both her and Grump do so much for all of us and we have made so many fun memories just being with them. Sades loves to play thirty one with them at the cabin, Adley loves the toys at grandmas, and Coltrin loves to eat anything and everything at grandmas. Thanks Grandma for all you do. Hope you had a great day!

Reflections 2009 - Beauty is.......

Sades submitted three entries into reflections this year. She won first place for her poem about Adley and an honorable mention for her leaf collage and photo. We are so proud of her. She is so smart and always tries so hard. We are amazed sometimes that she is ours! Way to go Sades!!!!!

Adorable Adley

Adley is now a whole 21 months. Time sure does fly by. It is sad and exciting all at the same time. It is so fun watching your kids grow and experience new things. Just think a year from now, I hopefully will never have to buy diapers again!

Gotta Wear Shades

Not much happens in November, but I did get a few candid pics of the kids and Zeb, sporting their sun glasses. It's the day to day things that are sometimes the best!

2009 Halloween hodgepodge....

Peace. nununununun...., meow, meow, meow! A Halloween family pic. Pretty darn sexy!!!
We made a new friend this year. I think he is pretty cute, but the kiddos coming to the door weren't so sure. It was a riot watching kids try to sneak past him.
The annual Aunt Colene as the witch pic with Sades. We love to venture to Aunt Colene's on Halloween. You never know what surprises she has waiting on her front porch or lurking in her house.
Bat Dog! The faithful sidekick to Batman. I think he may be embarrassed, but who knows. He is just a dog!

Pirate Cruise on the Provo River

Well, we had quite the adventure. First we headed up the canyon and realized that it was down by the lake. Once we got there we stood by the fire to keep warm while we waited for the boat to arrive. It was fun walking down the trail lit up with lights and decorations. Once we boarded the boat, the Captain told us a story while he pulled us up the river and then back down. There were hundreds of jack-o-lanterns along the river. It was so neat to see the reflections in the water. We were even attacked by a pirate who came floating out of no where and missed the boat, oops! It was fun. Coltrin was scared that the pirate would try to get him, but he didn't and rewarded Coltrin, with extra candy. It was a fun family adventure!
