Summer Fun

We are doing our best to soak up the summer sun.  It has not been all that hot, which is actually perfect for my little family! Being so pale, we are not exactly sun worshipers.

Holden has been taking swimming lessons with his good buddy Karina.

We moved to a cute new house, with an amazing backyard...and a tire swing!!

We have had a few fun day's at the beach...

And lot's of evenings spent in the back yard!

Can't beat summer with kids

Spring Recap

I think we spent most of our spring outside this year.  Unlike Idaho, or the Northwest, spring is actually sunny and warm down here in SoCal.  Shocking, I know!  We had lots of park play dates (yes, the kids now have friends!), more Popsicles than I can count, a bunch of fun birthday parties and a few day’s watching Shane at the dirt bike track.

The highlight for me was packing up Halle and heading home to Walla Walla for a long weekend, to celebrate the life of Grandma Janet Buchanan.  Everyone gathered to celebrate her love and life, and we made some wonderful memories from the weekend.  I don’t think I have laughed that hard in years!

Holden just had "Preschool Graduation"...only he will be going to preschool again next year.  ;)

Here are some photos from our family Walla Walla weekend...

This is our new baby cousin, Oliver!  Such a sweet little man!

Halle loved hanging out with her cousins

Leslie (with Beth, Right) flew in from Scotland for the celebration

Jay getting introduced to the entire Buchanan Clan! He fit's right in ;)

Palm Springs - Weekend 2

While I was at the OneSight clinic, Shane had a full week of work in Carlsbad so we took the kids over to Palm Springs to stay with my parents.  While we were there we got to spend some time with Holden’s BFF, Drake!!  He and his parents were in Palm Springs visiting family, so the boys got to play two day’s in a row.  It was like they had never been apart and actually made me cry when they hugged again for the first time.

They are truly two peas in a pod.  I hope to help foster this friendship until they are old!
