#2

Yep, we are pregnant and very excited about it!!! I'm 12 wks along and due June 14th. It might be a little inconvenient because of all the traveling Bren has to do during the summer, but ya get what ya get. :) I didn't think I was pregnant for many reason, but the day before I took my test I felt sick (thought I was getting the flu). Anyways, the next day was Bren's birthday, I thought it would be really neat if I could tell him on his birthday that I was pregnant. Sure enough I took the test that morning and Happy Birthday Bren!!! He didn't believe me so he made me go get a blood test and of course it was positive. :) It was a great day! London is very aware that a baby is in my belly, the only thing she has a hard time with is why she doesn't have one in hers. It's funny she always says "hmmm lets see" and lifts up my shirt and kisses my belly. She has always been a real lovey little girl so it make since that she would kiss my belly. Every time we ask he if its a boy or a girl she says boy, so maybe she knows something we don't or maybe she just likes the word. I have been a lot sicker with this baby then with London. With London I didn't get sick until 9 wks, and like I said I was sick the day before I took my test with this one. I think I am starting to feel better, with Lu Lu I felt 100% better at 13 wks, so I am hoping it is the same with this little one. We are very excited for this baby to be here and can't wait to be a little family of 4....Sorry no pictures, my scanner wasn't working.

Hopelessly devoted

London had a great Halloween this year! We had no clue that she would love it as much as she did. She also got to spend it with her only cousin, Beau, on the smith side. If you can't tell, she was Sandy from Grease, and if you haven't seen the movie Grease you need to get a life and watch it. It probably is one of John Travolta's best movies. :) Anyways, she kept on saying she was Cinderella, so I had to keep reminding her that she was Sandy. By the end of the night she would answer to Sandy, so I think she got it. We weren't really going to take her trick or treating but her Uncle Austin took her to a couple houses around the neighborhood and she didn't want to stop.  Bren and I then planned on taking her to a couple more houses and at every house she would say "more trick or treat".  It was so cute that we couldn't stop at just that....Needless to say she had a bucket full of candy when we got home. :) It was a great Halloween!!!

I Can't believe I've never been

Last week Brendan and I went to Lake Powell with some of our friends and I was the only one that hadn't been before...... I have really been missing out!!!! I couldn't believe how much stuff there was to do. We fished, kayaked, boated, hiked, and cliff jumped. Even though there was so much to do it still was really relaxing.  My Mom was sweet enough to come all the way from Arco and watch London, so that made it even more relaxing (Thanks Mom).  I am pretty sure we will be doing this again with her next year. SOOOO, if you haven't been to Lake Powell I highly suggest it, because we loved it.

Hiked to Indian ruins
Bren wake boarding (as you can tell the water was perfect)
This is our crazy friend Will jumping off a 60 ft. cliff. He jumped off a 75 ft. earlier that day. Like I said CRAZY!! It took me 20 mins. just to jump off a 40 ft.
Fishing....didn't catch anything, but still a lot of fun.

There's nothing like the Circus!

If you have never been to the Circus you should go, it is quite the experience. :) Bren and I were talking about it and were wondering..."where do these people come from" There are so many different types of people, children, adults big and small, and some really weird looking folks.  Are the kids just born into the Circus and don't know any different???? I don't know, but it was something we were really curious about. :) As crazy as it was at times, it was also very entertaining. London really enjoyed all the animal acts, she waved so hard at the elephants really hoping they would wave back. I loved it! I was kind of secretly hoping the tiger tamer would get attacked and then we could watch it on the show "When animals attack". HA HA JK!!  As you will see in the picture I don't think the clowns were her favorite part, but she really enjoyed everything else. :) She also got to go with her best friend Taya Treu, so that made it even more exciting!
It was a great way to spend our Saturday, we are glad we went and will most likely go again next year.

I don't think London loved these clowns.

London's 2nd birthday in Chicago

I was kind of worried about being away from our families over London's birthday, but I think she enjoyed herself quite a bit. We ended up going to three different zoos and the Shedd Aquarium in down town Chicago, so I'm pretty sure we made up for being away :).  She also got to spend a lot of time with her very best friend Taya. Taya is only two weeks younger than her and they have been "friends" since they were about 8 months old. It was really fun to watch them play and talk to each other.  I also enjoyed seeing my friends Ashley &  Jess that have been in Chicago since April, so it had been awhile. I can't wait for them to come back. All in all we had a great time being back in Chicago. PS. sorry so many pictures.

Fun at Grandpa & Grandma's

London and I took a little 4 hour drive to my Mom and Dad's this last week while Bren was in Dallas. They live in Arco, ID on a 200 acre farm ranch. London had a blast, she really loved having all the space to run without me. :) I wanted my mom to take some pictures of London in the barley fields, but we aren't professionals & we didn't have the best outfit, so we were kind of just winging it. To my surprise they turned out pretty good. The rest of the time we spent going on walks, playing outside, and fishing. We took London to the hatchery (a place where they hatch and grow fish, if you didn't know) and London caught two fish. When I told her we were going fishing she would say "fish? I holds?". I thought for sure when we actually caught it she wouldn't want to hold it. Well, "hold it" was a understatement, she was touching the eyeballs and putting her fingers in the mouth. Pretty sick, but she loved it blood and all. I think we might have a little tom girl on our hands. I'm pretty sure will be making that 4 hour drive more often, I know she misses Grandpa and Grandma already.

Very excited!!!

I just wanted to brag a little bit. London has been going #2 in the toilet for the last five days!!!!Every time I put her on the toilet she will pee, but still goes in her diaper a little. I haven't really been trying to potty train her because we have a couple more trips in the next month so I didn't want to start until we were done traveling. I can't believe how amazing she is doing, she tells me when she needs to go and everything. We are so proud of her!!! So, if you see London and it looks like she has gained a couple of pounds, it is because of all the potty candy she has been eating. :)

New York, New York

London and I were lucky enough to accompany Brendan to his Hartford office this last week. Even though he had a lot of work to do we still had plenty of time to go into the city, see a Yankees game, and visit my nanny family. Thanks Bren for making the time!! It really wasn't meant to be a vacation for London, yet I think she had a great time going to the toy stores, getting a new baby at FAO schwarz, yelling GO YANKEES, playing with her Uncle Bret, swimming in the pool, & meeting Sheelha, Joe and the kids. The pictures kind of tell it all, but it was such a fun trip. I was a nanny in CT for just about two years, during that time was when Bren and I started dating, so NY & CT have a lot of memories for us. The only bad part of the trip was our first night there, we woke up at 2 am to London throwing up. As you can guess, she had the flu, her temperature was 103. On a side note, have you ever tried to stick a thermometer in a 22 months old armpit when they are sick??? You should try it, just for fun. Anyways, we thought for sure our trip would consist of being in our hotel the entire time. Needless to say London was a trooper, we were on the train headed to the city 12 hours later. Temperature was down, eating and drinking like normal, and same old silly Lu Lu. It was Crazy!!! So, even with our little set back it still was an amazing trip!

"You stay classy San Diego"

We have been wanting to take London to the San Diego Zoo for a while now, and finally found the time in Brendan's busy work schedule to go. Of course it was a huge hit, she LOVED seeing all the animals. I think her favorite was the tiger. It kept watching her and then walked right up to the glass (as you can see in the pic) and tried to sniff her. I'm guessing it was Lunch time and London looked like a good little snack. :) We were going to go to Sea World, but decided to go to Disneyland instead, which was the right choice. It was great! London was a little bit overwhelmed, but loved it just the same. We went on most of the kiddy rides, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jungle Cruise 4 times (yes, 4 times), and met Minnie Mouse & Goofy. Brendan and I kid swapped and went on the Indiana Jones ride which was pretty amazing. Oh! and yes I did eat a turkey leg & a chimichanga and they were wonderful. Anyways....We had a fantastic vacation! It was so much fun that we are hoping to make it an annual trip, so if you would like to come with, let us know.....you are welcome. :)

Nothing that new

I know it has been awhile since I've posted, but Bren has been in Chicago for the last two weeks, so not much has been going on. We had a great Easter with London, she loved every part of it. I told her that the Easter bunny was going to bring her a surprise on Sunday, she would say " bummy? prize?" It was cute. When we did the Easter egg hunt she went crazy! I thought we would have to help her find the eggs, but to our surprise she has a great eye and found most of them by herself. :) It was a great day to send Brendan off to Chicago. When he got back London wouldn't leave his side and Brendan wouldn't leave her's. It was cute! It makes me happy that London is such a daddy's girl, I don't know what Bren would do if she was any other way. We went to Hogle Zoo, and of course London loved, loved, loved it. Animals are kind of her thing right now, so we will probably be going to the zoo a lot this summer. Anyways, that is what we have been up to lately. Just enjoying the great weather. Hope it stays nice.

Longest post ever!!....Sorry.

Story number 2. Yesterday we went to our mommy & me class that she loves, and they were doing a easter egg hunt. It was London's 1st easter egg hunt and I couldn't believe how much she loved looking for the eggs. We could only get 12 eggs so it was kind of hard to make her stop at 12. She didn't understand why we couldn't take them all home. It was a fun day.
Ok, one more story. I always say I am so lucky to have such a passive little girl, so here is a little story that makes me so grateful for that.....When we go to Walmart with Daddy London always ask for a cookie from subway ( because a lot of walmarts have subways in them). Anyways, like a sucker Bren always gets her one. Well, the other day when London and I went she asked for one and this is how our conversation went.
London: Cookie???
Me: No, not today sweetie.
London: Cookie Pease???
Me: Sweetie...not today, no cookie.
London: No cookie????...........Okay Mommy.
I am not sure if it gets more passive or sweeter then that. I love that she is that way, I need that. ......When we got to the car I gave her a cookie that I had in my purse, I know, I know, I'm a sucker too.

reading a book to relax. :)
At the easter egg hunt with friends Isaac & Rowan.
Just a funny picture. You would be surprised how many times I find her in there.

Family Pictures.....are not that fun.

So, we had family pictures done last Saturday and London was a terror. If you know London you know that she is generally a sweet girl...well not on picture day. I was so worried that we weren't going to get any good shots. Anyways, I've been checking my photographers blog every day to see if she had posted any of our pictures. I was so excited that we actually had some of London smiling that I had to steal them from her blog. I couldn't wait to get the CD.  I will post more when we get the CD, but for now let me know what ya think.

St. George (Pinnacle retreat)

Pinnacle (the company Bren works for) took us on a little retreat to St. George last weekend and it was so nice. We were able to do a lot of fun things. We went on a two hour fourwheeler excursion, that was a blast. It was really fun riding in the red sand, everybody looked liked they had on sunless tan by the end, but it was worth it. :) We also went to this really cool steak house called Anasazi. The part that was so cool about it is you got to cook your steak on the piece of lava rock. I thought it wouldn't tast very good, seems how I was cooking it myself, but it turned out great. So, if you are ever in St. George, try it. It was really nice to have a weekend just with Bren, London was with Grandma and Papa(Thanks Dave and Misti for all your help).

All of us at Anasazi. If you look close you can see the lava rocks.

They grow up so fast!

I can NOT believe that I have a 18 month old, the time really flies by. London had her 18 month checkup the other day and she was 75% for her height, 70% for her weight, and 70% for her head. So, she might be a bit bigger but very well proportioned. :) We just took her binky away and she is handling it like a champ. She is such a good passive little girl, I love it.  Today we went to the Kangaroo Zoo (which is a lot of big blown up toys). London had so much fun and was so brave. She went down all the big slides by herself except for the biggest, she went down that one with me. Anyways, just a little update on how big London is getting, she is growing up so fast.

Dallas, TX

We went to Dallas last week for our nephew Beau's blessing. Brendan just stayed the weekend but I was able to stay the week with Ariel and Beau. It was a lot of fun being around a baby again. He is such a cutie and really good little boy. London didn't notice him much but when she did she would give him loves and click her tongue at him, I'm guessing because that's what I did. :) It was funny.  Anyways, I'm glad that we got to spend so much time with them. It was great.
Once again, I don't know why everything is underlined. Sorry.
Adorable baby Beau
London loving Beau
I love this picture, holding hands and looking at each other. So cute!

5 things i'm addicted to

I hate when I'm tagged, STACY!!

1) KSL.com or should I say getting a good deal. I guess I feel, why buy it brand new when you can get it for pretty much that just cheaper.:)

2) Teaching London new things. We are currently working on colors.

3) Babies, not that I want one right now :). My sister has a three week old girl and I want to go home all the time just to hold her. My neighbors little girl is seven weeks old and I went over yesterday just to hold her. Also, I get to go see my new nephew Beau in Texas and i'm really sad that he will already be eight weeks. :(

4) Flossing! Since I got my braces off I have been flossing my teeth none stop. My dentist would be proud.

5) The movie "The Holiday". Love, Love, Love this movie.  So romatic! I'm a sucker for the love stories. I watch it all the time.

Since I don't appreciate being tagged I am only going to tag MEGAN because she posts like once a year. Update once in awhile Meggie!

Maui

Well, I would say that Maui was fabulous but I'm pretty sure everybody knows that Hawaii is amazing. :) Anyways, we were able to go to Maui last year when London was only 4 1/2 months old, so you can imagine how exciting it was. Don't get me wrong Maui is Maui but when you go with a little baby it isn't really the same. This year on the other hand was so much fun! London literally loved everything about the trip, she was such a good little girl. So, if I can give a little bit of advice....wait to go on trips until your kids are able to enjoy them, in return you will enjoy them also.:) Papa & Grandma mimi were such a great help and really made it great while we were there. Thanks Misti & Dave!! We did so much, but its really to much to talk about, so I'll just let the pictures do the talking. The slide show has been acting funny, so if you can't see the pictures click on view all images.

I can't believe its over

This year we were lucky enough to be able to have a big Christmas with my family. It was great, all of my siblings were there but three of my brothers and their kids. I have eight brothers and sisters, and twenty nieces and nephews. SOOOO, six of the nine siblings were there and seventeen of the twenty grand kids were there also. Anyways, it was very crazy but so much fun spending Christmas with everybody. Christmas Eve we always have a program, our part of the program Brendan was Santa. The kids went crazy and to my suprise, London loved Santa too. I think she might know that it is her Daddy. Bren was a really good sport and did a great job. :) London loved opening her presents and giving them out, it was a blast watching her get excited. The best part about this was all nine kids got Grandma & Grandpa a trip to Hawaii for Christmas. They lived there back in the day when my Dad was in the Navy, my oldest sister Tami was actually born there and they haven't been back since. They both cried. We were so happy that we could do this for them. They just got in today and are enjoying every second. It was a great Christmas. Hope all of yours was just as great!
