Future softball player? I hope so!!!
It seems this weekend was a great weekend to get some t ball/softball practice in. A few other friends have posted on Facebook and their blogs that this was an activity enjoyed by many this last weekend. Sophia is all signed up for t ball this year, but hasn't started yet. We decided to let her try out hitting off the tee this weekend. Having never done it before, Matt and I were pretty proud of how well she did. It made me really excited for her season to start!

A little belly painting
Sophia has been dying to paint my belly for some time now, and this last week I finally let her go for it. She did a really careful and great job, she knew exactly what she wanted to paint on it...

The finished painting. :)
Can you see the baby? The shooting star? The two hearts? A floating balloon? The amniotic fluid? They are all there!

The Orthodontist...
No, this has nothing to do with the last post :) Sophia's class went on a field trip to an orthodontist where they got to see how/where x rays are done, how teeth are checked, pick from the treasure chest, and make "dinosaur bones."

Valentine's Day...
On Valentine's Day, Sophia had a little party with some of her friends. The Brownlee's hosted and we got to do some crafts, decorate cookies, exchange valentines, and just play, play, play.
That evening Matt and I had tickets to the Blazer game, so we hit up a new restaurant for happy hour. We've been going to a game a week, and enjoying a new (to us) restaurant before each game. We know our time is limited for date nights for awhile, so we've been trying to take full advantage. It's been really fun! For Valentines we went to a pizza place down by Voodoo Donuts called Via Tribunali. Happy hour was great, we shared a couple pizzas, a meat and cheese platter, then the BEST desert. Honestly, I was ready to run next door to Voodoo and snatch up a bacon maple bar when we were done with dinner, but the happy hour desert was a Nutella calzone. Ummm, be still my heart. It was fantastic!

Valentines at School
We celebrated Valentines at Sophia's school with a typical party of decorating cookies, passing out valentines to friends, and reading through the valentines that friends gave. It was fun to see how all the kids wrote each others names and signed their own on each of the cards passed out.

Tea party...
Yesterday Sophia and a few of her friends got to participate in a tea party/photo shoot for Champagne Wedding and Event Coordination. A friend/childhood neighbor of mine owns the business and needed 4 little girls to participate so they could get some shots of their vintage rentals. It really is hard to imagine anything cuter than Soph and 3 of her besties sitting around a table sipping on pink "tea" (hot chocolate), eating dainty little sandwiches and cookies, then getting to play dress up with boa's, hats, and vintage dresses.

Lexie turns 5!
We helped Lexie celebrate her 5th birthday at Outdoors In.
Sadly Sophia had no idea what this was. I told her how to sit and spin on it, and she loved it!
Weee!
