so much to say...
I feel all backed up...

I had all sorts of fun things to blog about on Tuesday and had decided that as soon as I finished my ESRT (I know, just go with me here) I would start writing - when...

*enter the annoying noise from space odyssey 2000- beep beep*

Ya, it was just like that POOF goes the power in the building that supports all the websites for an international company that knows all sorts of things about you that you pry don't want them to know, pry.

So, what did we do? We talked! Heaven forbid... we dispersed from our cubiciles (I'm aware I spelled that incorrectly, work with me here) and actually talked to each other. Reality brought me back to my cubicile when I realized I can only talk about free ps3 games, Star Wars and open source software for so long - and decided it was time to do some house cleaning.

Look how purdy...

Anyhow, that became mundane after awhile and I decided it was time to go across the street to the mall. Unfortunately, it would be inappropriate to post any pictures of what I purchased there... but I can tell you I got a Chick-Fil-A sammich with a Diet Dr. Pepper and it was DELICIOUS!

The next day when I came to work I had this in my email... I found it rather humorous, and if you don't, let it rest in your little brain for a bit until you get it.

Tuesday was also Maya's first day of 4th grade.

FOURTH GRADE, bitches.

Jeebus I'm old. I swear it seems like yesterday I was in the 4th grade, with short permed hair, crooked teeth, and the keenest fashion sense around. (obv) I didn't get to see her off on the bus, and I'm still waiting for Uncle Scott to supply those photos (hint, hint), but I did get to wake her up by singing goofy, made-up songs that made her laugh and say "STOP IT MOM - YOU'RE SUCH A DORK", right on, mission completed.

I was a little worried about what she would pick out to wear cause shes been on this "fancy yet tacky" kick lately (she takes after momz), but she did good, looked adorable.

Check this out... I find it HILARIOUS and I can't help but call him Dr. Balsy (Ball-zee)

Why can't I find a doctor like this?

NEXT

How about dem dems? For any of you who may have missed it (and I haven't watched JB's speech yet) this speech is a must watch, and my favorite speech of the DNC so far - and from a Buckeye no less. Michelle's was OK, I didn't agree that it rivaled Barack's speech at the last DNC, but she did look pretty hot in that green dress... go get 'em Michelle.

Speaking of buckeyes... do you know what Saturday is???

Hang on Sloopy, hang on.

sunglasses...
I have this "thing" about sunglasses. I never buy expensive ones... and by not expensive, I mean under $10. They always seem to get ruined, somehow, some way. I would go through, at least, 10 pair a year, so why spend a lot on them?

Then, the weirdest thing happened. I went to Vegas to play in the WSOP, stopped in a little shop in the RIO right after I busted out, and bought these $5 Gucci fakes. These sunglasses broke my curse, and began my "Grand Good Run for Sunglasses". I held onto them for two years, along with a pair of polarized glasses I found at the Dollar General store for $3.

For some reason, I can never let a good thing lie, and I had to go and buy cute sunglasses off of Overstock.com this year. They still weren't expensive, about $20 a pair, but they were name brand glasses that I got a deal on.

What happens?

I lose my great Gucci fakes from Vegas.

I run over the new brown pair with my car, the first day I wore them.

The new black pair, I stepped on while I was at work.

The Dollar General polarized glasses? I set down next to my curling iron that just happened to be on. I still wore them that day, and then left them at someones house.

And my faithful $2 back up from Target? Crushed in my overnight bag.

This is all in a matter of 2 weeks.

What does this all mean? I have no fucking clue. What I do know is that I got my dream job this week. I was chosen to take a co-op position with THE MAN as a Web Designer.

A WEB DESIGNER. WHO KNEW.

Is this the return of the T? What will happen on these sites? Will she embed porn where no one can see? Will she have AIM access? Do they block FTP? Will the forum be blacklisted? Will she start blogging again? Has she lost her awesome sense of WIT?

So many questions, and only one way to find out. HOLLER.

PS: I put the good stuff at the end, cause only the people that love me will actually read all that crap to get to the good stuff! You know who you are, and thanks for always being there. (See, give me a job and I turn into a fraking sap...)

miss me?
Hell, I miss me, so y'all must be out of your minds!!!

You know what I <3? height="355" width="425">

I also found this, evidently at some point in my life I wanted my body to be blushy and shimmery. And then, on top of that, figured I'd want it to be blushy and shimmery again at some point, and held onto it. Good thinkin' me!!

Now, I just need to find someone that wants to see me blushy and shimmery. I'm taking applications.

PS: new song again at top, listen to it soon, cause I already found something to replace it with :P

procrastination...
Since that is all I use my blog for anymore, now is a good time for it!! The 101 things I should be doing right now can wait.

My "mini van mom" days are over. The van has been sold, and I am now driving a ULEV. I miss my van horribly, but I do feel about 5 years younger when I drive this car, and that's a PLUS. I just need to get some window tintage (so I LOOK 5 years younger too) and I'll be kickin' it. Holler. My chicks seem to dig the new wheels (a Honda Civic, btw) but we will see how they feel when there are no movies to watch on the next road trip.

I am about to move into my mom and dad's basement, which would make me feel about 10 years younger, except for the fact that my two kids are going with me. So instead, it will pry age me 10 years. It is just temporary till Maya finishes her school year out, but still, gl me!!

I kicked zooks ass in this. I don't wanna rub it in too much, so that's all I have to say about that :P

My chicks and I are starting Jiu Jitsu lessons today. I just wanna grapple with hot dudes, sfobv. Submit hot dude FTW.

Still no job, I even interviewed with a florist. I must seem like I'm not the flowery type, who knew.

Storyboards suck ass.

the hummus predicament...
Yesterday Joe and I worked all day in the yard spreading mulch. We only got about halfway thru because the rain didn't hold back long enough for us to finish, but still it was a good 5 hours of ball busting work.

After dinner etc. I decided to relax, take some Advil and wash it down with a whiskey n diet. mmmmm. The simple joys in life.

At about midnight when I headed off to hit the haystack, I also had a bit of a munchie attack. Of course, I still try to snack healthy when I do, and decided to crack open the delicious hummus I had bought earlier in the week. Nothing like a nice carrot stick with hummus... mmmmm.

So here I am, about 3 drinks in, at midnight, when I open the fridge and the bulb is out. Of course, the hummus isn't where I left it, so I feel around a bit, still no hummus. I decided I wasn't giving up and turned on two kitchen lights, and went back to the fridge proceeding to empty about 1/2 of it's contents before I finally find the hummus.

At this moment I was so satisfied with myself, I gleefully walked over to the trashcan to discard of the plastic safety covering... when it dawned on me...

I cannot stand self righteous cunts.

Does that ever happen to you? You are completing some mundane task and the meaning of life just appears before your eyes and you have an "AHA!" moment?

One of my favorite moments in life was when I realized that I'm not better than anyone else.

I know it's shocking, really, but stay with me here.

Class, gender, which way you swing and the like -- it's all relative. You and I have been thru different challenges on our journey of life that have molded and shaped us differently. After all, it doesn't make sense to make judgments on someone else's choices, when you haven't had to make the same choices with the same information available to you.

As an example, I feel these self righteous cunts should left to their self righteous thoughts, in their self righteous home (they live alone obv), with their self righteous belongings, and go to their self righteous jobs without interruption. It is not my place to judge or confine them in any way. After all, I'm not better than them, I have my own faults, and they deserve to be able to live their lives in peace, as do I. If they carry on about their self righteousness without involving myself or my family, they will find no T conflict. However, if they choose the opposite... it's all fair game.

But, I suppose this whole concept takes a certain level of maturity to embrace. Of course if you were a self righteous cunt, you would pry think your level of maturity exceeded the standard requirements... so there is that.

And boy oh boy, that hummus was goooooooood.

ps: I have started adding some music at the top of my blog, I'll try to change it weekly. The resource I'm using doesn't have all the music I like so we will see how it goes. enjoy!

pss: OMG I woke up this morning and my back and hamstrings are hollerin "HELP ME!!!" I need me some yoga.

tuesdays suck...
Since last Tuesday I have had a string of unfortunate events. I will attempt to list them here with few details:

  • Anna had an ER visit (story already told) last Tuesday
  • My power supply in my desktop went out - this wouldn't be such a bad thing except that it came right after a hard drive crash on my laptop, and the desktop drive has important info I needed off of it.
  • My dryer broke. It just won't work. I bought it last April, just over a year and it's warranty.
  • My (other) garage door broke. It didn't just break, the motor thingy is attached to a support thingy that came completely off the ceiling, and it is just plain broked.
  • I had to spend an entire day at my dad's house doing laundry.
  • After repeated calls to my financial aid people at school, turns out I have papers that need to be signed before they release my money. Only took 4 phone calls over 2 weeks to get that answer.
  • My monthly work check has been delayed.
  • I can't recover any of my banking records after my HD crash. This has turned out to be a bigger problem than I had anticipated. My bank accounts are completely fucked.
  • Maya went to summer camp yesterday, and they had her balance screwed up. I ended up having to pay twice, get refund later, so she could attend.
  • I missed school last Tuesday because of Anna's ER visit. I emailed my prof Tuesday night:
*** On 6/26/2007 7:52:51 PM Teresa White wrote *** Hi Lee,

I wasn't able to make class tonight because my daughter had to be taken to the ER. We didn't leave till almost 7pm. I will bring a note from the hospital to class next week.

Could you let me know if there were any assignments this evening?

    Thank You,

    Teresa White

I received this email from him today (After not hearing from him all week) that was sent out to our whole class:

Happy 4th of July.

We will be having a class tonight. Bring your scripts and storyboards.
Yes it is a real assignment, we will present them to the class.

Betcha its a fast class.

Lee
  • Our TV was damaged by lightning (among a ton of other things) back in April. We sent it to the TV repair, and had a part on order to have it fixed as of May 2nd. We still don't have our TV back. Last week they said the part didn't fix it and they are "having a module rebuilt".
  • I weighed myself last Friday and lets just say, I was less than impressed. I kicked up the workouts this week. I thought exercise was supposed to give you more energy, and make you sleep better. I'm EXHAUSTED and I had to go buy sleeping pills cause I can't get to sleep at night.
  • Oh and I almost forgot. My girls started drilling me about what a "period" was. Of course I obliged and explained, in the most simple terms possible. Then, of course, pandora's box was opened and Maya wanted to know about sex. I put Anna in the bath so she wasn't in the conversation anymore and started to explain to Maya when she asks "So then, why do girls suck on boys penises?"

Sersly, just kill me now.

don't touch me there Sheila!!
I was tagged by Sheila, and it is actually a good thing because I was working on a post for my THIRTIETH BIRTHDAY "30 things you didn't know about me". I got bored about #11 and stopped. Besides, if it bored me, imagine how much you will hate it.

So, I guess this is some sort of evil chain mail type thing and I'm supposed to TAG some other people....

So give it to me, SEVEN things I didn't know about YOU: I tag VINCE, LILLIAN, SQUIB, STEELER AND DRSUCKOUT

Oh and here's mine, but you get 11 things, cause I just happened to have it handy. (you may or may not get the other 19 tomorrow)

#1 – I was born in Dayton, Maryland, and when I was 3 months old we moved to Dayton, Ohio. My parents were so risky!

#2 – When I was little my nick name was TT. Ya, TT. In fact, some people that have known me since then (ie: family and old family friends) still call me that. It was derived from my bad walking skills when a toddler. Evidently I wobbled back n forth (or waddled) and it reminded my mom of a Weeble Wobble, which dawned the nickname Teebletobbles but she don’t tobble down. Or in short TT. And, in fact, that’s why people call me “T” to this day. I remember my mom telling me stories about when people would call me Teresa when I was a kid, and I’d say “My name isn’t Teresa, it’s TT”.

#3 – I am the youngest of 3 children, I have an older brother Dave (4 yrs my elder) and an older sister, Bethany, who is 1 year and 5 months older.

#4 – I was an “OOPS” baby, not an accident mind you, a SURPRISE! So, this is a lesson to all you moms that may have recently given birth, you CAN get pregnant while nursing.

#5 – I sucked my thumb till I was about 8, and my parents have the dentist bills to prove it. I was suckered (pun intended) into quitting by my parents promising me a trip to Hawaii if I would quit. I came back to them saying, that if I could have my birthday party that year at Disney World we had a deal. Now, imagine an 8 year olds idea of a birthday party at Disney World. We are talking Mickey Mouse and Cinderella singing me Happy Birthday. But instead, I got a trip to Disney World, no birthday party there. I was so conned, but I haven’t sucked my thumb since.

#6 – In the second grade I got married to Matt Haupt. Wonder what he’s up to, I think I should look him up for alimony.

#7 – In the 4th grade I broke my arm on a skateboard, and my mom didn’t take me to the doctor for a week. She thought I was faking.

#8 – I was a tomboy when a kid, and my mom kept my hair short cause I was always getting it tangled etc, which in turn made people think I was a boy. My comeback when I was called a “he” on a daily basis was “I’m a girl, DUH, I have ears pierced!”

#9 – I was the preacher’s kid till I was 15. It was a bleak existence that warped me for the rest of my life. We remind my parents of it daily.

#10 – I snuck out of my house for the first time when I was 13. I kept an old chair outside my window to climb down on when doing my sneaking. One night I forgot to put the chair back and my Dad found it outside my window. My excuse was that I was cleaning the windows. When he noticed they were still dirty, I said, “Well, a friend came over just as I was getting started and I forgot about it”. He believed me till about a month later when I was brought home by the cops after we had snuck out again and the guy who was driving us got pulled over and taken to jail. OOPS.

#11 – My best friend Heather was with me during the above incident. After it, my parents told my school they didn’t want Heather and I in the same classes anymore. It was their futile attempt to make us not be friends. Despite the next 4 years of high school being in different classes, we are still friends to this day.
