Easter is such a special time to celebrate that Jesus Christ has RISEN! This year I made a special trip to the bookstore to find a cute, child friendly book to buy for Gaines that explained the real reason we celebrate Easter. All the bunnies and egg hunts are so much fun but it's important for me as my child's parent to make sure he knows the story of Jesus. With that being said, we all are worn out from all the egg hunts and Easter activities that we participated in this year. 
A fun holiday to say how much we love one another......and to eat lots of candy. Gaines was proud of his valentine day treats that he and his Aunt Aunnie "Hannah" fixed together for his MMO friends. The picture below is a precious bag I found at WalMart and inside was just a little happy for my sweet Valentine!

Now this was a fun time had by all involved! Rosemary Beach puts on a huge slip in slide every year and the fire department brings their fire truck out and uses their hose to provide a massive amount of water to the slip n slide. Needless to say, the adults might have been more pumped about this activity than the children. Nash held Gaines in his arms and would run as fast as he could and slide from start to finish with Gaines screaming with laughter the entire way! Such fun memories!
And this. The guys all brought their guitars to the beach and every night we would sit out on the porch and listen as they played. Chase, to your right, is a new beginner and Nash and Barrett were teaching him the basics. We actually went to the Funky Blues Bar at Baytowne Wharf to here Barrett sing and play in a karaoke contest. That was fun! 
Nash and Gaines swimming in the pool at Ish and Deda's house in Leland. Yes, I know, we have put pink floaties on our little boy. They were our only option that day and they are a must when even around a body of water. Our child is NOT scared. He wants to jump off the edge of the pool, go under water, swim by himself or even sit on the steps in the water by himself. As his mother, I have mixed feelings about him NOT being scared. In some ways it's good and some ways it's bad. I think it's a boy thing. I have to say, he has done great this summer. He kicks his legs well while floating. Hopefully next summer, he will be swimming.
I love this picture. This is Gaines' cousin Miller to your left and Gaines to your right. These boys love playing in the cooler. We could be in trouble from years to come! They would just stand over it eating the ice. Sometimes I think they would rather do that than actually get in the pool. It's amazing what entertains them.
for our kiddo! Nash and I had the great idea to get our exercise together as a family by riding our bikes. This meant going and getting Gaines the bike seat and his puppy dog helmet. He would wear his helmet all day everyday if we would let him. We all 3 really enjoy this kind of fun together. Nash may start our complaining but once we get started, he's into it. i love having things like this we can all do together as a family. It's fun and it's important to spend time together.
