Here is a sure thing for the National Rodeo Finals. A little more practice and maybe a real horse and he is a for sure winner. He loves to chase the chickens and he has been known to ride the dog every once in a while.

Kyle the Boy Genius

Kyle keeps telling people he is a genius so we thought we would post the proof. What can we say he is a genius! The movie is a little distorted but you get the idea. Tune in next time when Kyle recites the Declaration Of Independence!

Sunday Fun!

Here are some pictures of the box fan hut Anthony built for Kyle the other night. Kyle has two huts downstairs that he loves, but building your own hut is way cooler.
And of course you have to have the classic "cheeser" picture. This is now what Kyle does when you ask him to smile.:)

First Snow!

Here are some of the pics from our first snow adventure. Last winter Kyle wasn't all that impressed with snow, but he loves it now. I have a feeling as he gets older he is going to be as crazy about snow and snowmobiling as his dad.

Basketball Fever!

So this is what we have been doing around the Steinfeldt house for the last little while.
Manti High School asked me to coach their freshman basketball team this year, so that is what has been consuming my life for the last little while. I played basketball in high school, but it has been so long since I played organized ball that planning practices has been quite the task. Most nights after Kyle goes to bed I can be found on the computer looking for drills that will work. But I know longer stay up much past 9:00 because the freshmen get the wonderful opportunity of practicing from 5:15-6:45 in the morning. So far it has been fun and I am learning a lot. I'll keep you posted on how the season goes. Our first game is next Thursday!!!

Happy 'Ween'!

As you can see Kyle wasn't a big fan of the lion costume at first, but he eventually got used to it (especially when bribed with candy). This Halloween was tons of fun. We decided Kyle really didn't need much candy, so we just visited a few of the older couple in the ward. The highlight of the night was when the mayor let him play on the bus and the tractor. Oh ya and the candy of course!!!

Party at the Steinfeldt's!!!

So what does the family that refuses to pay for cable television do at night? Well...quilt of course! I know you're all jealous. Anthony and I decided since we have watched all of our movies about 3000 times each, it was time to find something else to do at night. And since Anthony has been using the same woobie for about 15 years now, a replacement endeavor was the answer. Anthony is sick and tired of waking up at night because his arm or leg is stuck in one of the holes in his blanket.
Check out this intricate stitching!

Curled Up with a Good Book

This is one of Kyle's very favorite things to do. When it gets really quiet around the house I can usually sneak into his room and find him reading in the rocking chair. I hope this is something he continues to enjoy.

Walk About

So there's not much going on around here, now that soccer is over. Kyle and I have just been hanging out and getting things done that I have put off for way too long. So the little speck in this pic is Kyle out in our field. We were out playing in the yard and he just took off on a little walk about. It was pretty funny to watch him playing out there. He was exploring everything from the alfalfa and butterflies to mole holes.

My ???

Just kidding. I'm not going to make everybody guess from the picture I post this time. I'll just post a profile of his face. He wasn't shy at all in his...let's just call it...his determination pic, so I really don't want that pic hanging out on my blog forever. We are really excited that Kyle will have a little brother to play with. If you have any good name suggestions, send them my way.

My Girls!

Powder Puff! This was our Wednesday night entertainment. Mant High does a powder puff game every year during homecoming week, Seniors vs. Juniors. How awesome is that! Watching my soccer girls play really made me wish I could have played in high school, but good ol' WJ was lame when it came to that. Athletes weren't allowed to play powder puff, instead they let the cheerleaders make fools of themselves out there. Needless to say I never watched one of those games. But I'm not bitter! Oh ya...and just so you know, my seniors won and luckily we got away with out any injuries.

Templar Pride!

So this is what I have been doing everyday for the last couple months. I love coaching and I love my team! I really have a great bunch of girls. So far our record is 7-2-2. If anybody has any ideas what so ever on how to get my girls to start from the whistle, it would be much appreciated. I have been wracking my brain and I have no ideas left. When we figure out how to play more than half a game, we will be awesome.

Second Attempt

So here I go again...trying to make this blog thing work. I'm terrible at journal writing so this is going to be quite a stretch. Anyway...life is great. I am having a great time with soccer. My girls are doing well and my family is healthy and happy. Kyle is growing fast and talking a lot. He is a ton of fun! Here are a few of our latest pics.

Kyle's ready for church. (I really didn't pose him next to his horse, he just went over there when I was trying to take his picture.) Cute though...huh?

This is the dang cute four wheeler Grandma and Grandpa bought for Kyle. He hasn't quite got the hang of it yet, but he gets a kick out of it when you pretend like you are running away from him.

First Post

I really don't know if this whole bogging thing is for me. But I guess it won't hurt to try. Here are a few of our most recent Ky Man pics. Enjoy!
