Rasmussen Reunion!!

Last night we got together with my mom's side of the family, well her brother Norm & his family (they live in Oregon) three of his six kids will be attending BYU this Fall and my grandma decided to have a little reunion while they were all here. We went swimming at my parents house... the kids loved it. They loved having all these "older" cousin to play with, as you can tell Kennedy had a blast having chicken wars and being three people high in the swimming pool. We also had pizza and ice cream, Raegyn loved her ice cream as you can tell.

Shelby had this great idea to have a handstand/headstand war with my brother Chad and well I think she lost BIG time. It was funny to watch Shelby try and try, this is not normal for her to lose.

Thanks Mom & Dad for hosting, we all had a great time!!

Back @ School!!!

I can not believe that I am going to say this but I have a child in High School... how in the world did that happen?
Shelby started her first day in High School as a Freshman, she only got lost once and seems to fit right in. I am excited to see what this year will bring for her.

Braxton also started a new school... JR. High I am not sure who was more nerouvs me or Braxton, I worried all day that he was going to get lost. BUT he didn't and he loves JR High. The first thing he said was "So I have this girl in my last three classes and oh yeah she gave me her number" Shelby & I just looked at each other and started laughing, what a cutie that kid is. I think Braxton is going to be just fine, I was nervous for no reason.

Kennedy started 5th grade and I was nervous to see how she would do with out any siblings in the same school with her, but to be honest I don't think she even noticed. She is super happy to have ALL her good friends in her class this year and is HAPPY to be back in school.

All in all the first day of school was GREAT!!

Boating!!

We were lucky enough to be invited two times last weekend to go boating, first on Friday we went boating with some good friends. We had so much fun that I only took two pictures. Kennedy had a mud bath, thanks for giving her the idea Melinda!! The kids did everything from wake boarding to tubing to just swimming in the lake. It was such a nice day we had such a great time playing in the sun and visiting with good friends, thanks Sheldon & Melinda for inviting us.

Then Saturday we went boating with my brother, his two kids and a family in his ward. This trip we stayed in the boat the whole time, I haven't done that in 18 years. We had a blast wake boarding, tubing and canal balling of the boat. It was a great way to end our Summer Vacation. Thanks Chad for letting us tag along!!

Summer

Kennedy played her first year of flag football, she loved it. Each kid got a award & the Coach told a story about something they did this season. She is excited to start up again!!

My parents have been taking turns taking the grand kids up to the Gorge with them. Here are some pictures from the "Boys" weekend. They went fishing, shoot guns and got ice cream (just a few of the things they got to do) thanks mom & dad for taking Braxton he had a BLAST!!

On the 4th of July Shelby was in the local parade with the High School drill team, it was fun to see her with all the High School girls and I have to say she seems to fit in perfectly with all of them. She attend Drill camp the middle of June, and has been practice almost everyday with this great group of girls and we are excited to watch them perform in the first home football game on August 24th... Go BUFFS!!
