Work Day

We had such a productive morning last Friday. The boys were out pulling weeds in the garden bright and early and they got so muddy that I made them eat breakfast outside. My famous pancakes were requested but we made it work. Then we were able to get the yard mowed before the rain came, the house picked up and all of the groceries bought. Once the rain came, we were able to get some relaxing in too. I love days when the whole family pitches in and gets so much accomplished. 

VBS

This year Vbs was a success! We were able to bust it and get the decor up in plenty of time. All of the kids loved it and they had a blast!

We love baseball

 This weekend we traveled to a town about an hour away to play on their turf.  They were super sweet and generously offered to feed our players and families when we came. The burgers were delicious and the company even better.  Of course, my GQ sat at a table full of adults he didn't know rather than with his own team. He made some new friends! It was a very hot day but we had such a good time!

VBS

 It's that time of year again.  VBS time.  For the last 4 or so years I have been a part of the decorating crew.  There are 6 of us and we like to take things over the top.  Each year we try to out do our previous design.  This year was no exception....well it kind of was.  It was mostly drawing and painting. We are nearing our VBS date but are nowhere near finished.  I'm getting a bit nervous but I'm sure we'll manage just fine.

Last Day

 It's the last day of school for my first and fourth grader.  They had an awards ceremony for children who excelled in certain areas.  GQ was a recipient of one of those awards.  The boys are so excited for summer to officially start tomorrow!

Mother's Day

 It's Mother's Day and we celebrated by eating the biggest spread you've ever seen! My littles treated me like a queen!

GQ turns 11!

 This oldest turd of ours turned 11 today! He chose to not have a birthday party this year and instead go to a cardinals baseball game.  If you know GQ, then you know how up his alley this was! He was in hog heaven.  He is after all his mother's son, and his Dadushka's grandson! Baseball runs in our veins!
