Mmmm.... Crab

So while Tony was away at work, I made a little trip up to Redondo to hang with the fam- and the future Pagtamas (no they're not engaged, but could use the encouragement ;) )

Janice and Daniel took us to this little crab shack on the pier upon Judy's request. They've talked about it so much that I decided to join them even though eating crab makes me hurl.
It's such a difficult food to enjoy. You work so hard to get tiny little pieces of meat out.
Doesn't make sense, but I do it anyway because it's so good. Maybe I should be a Stay-At-Home-Mom and try new restaurants everyday. (How do you feel about that, Babe?)

Now, if you know me well, you'll know I'm NOT a trendy person. Granted, I love my purses and shoes, but all other fads and trends are of no interest to me. So when Daniel suggests we go get frozen yogurt at a new frozen yogurt shop, I contemplate going home. Last thing I want to do is be caught in some Pinkberry want-t0-be.

BUT OH MY GOD!!! That stuff was good! Now I'm on a quest for a good frozen yogurt shop around my house that has mochi toppings and lemon frozen yogurt... mmmmmm....

A Weekend Away Before Tony Goes Away

Our last weekend before Tony leaves for England was spent in San Diego with our friends Grant and Nicole. We got to watch some giraffe "get intimate." But true to form, the female just wasn't having it. Maybe it was the lack of foreplay. We also witnessed a pig go pee, an ape expose himself, and other interesting things animals do.

Later that evening the Knox's babysat while we watched "Into the Woods" under the stars and the San Diego Airport flight path. Fun experience... the cast would pause in the middle of their scene everytime a jet flew by. Kinda cute.
The next day we hung out at the beach and read magazines while the boys went jet skiing and played soccer. Anyone want to buy a jet ski? Let me know; we may have a seller.

We came home only to welcome a new little one into the world! The Goley's had their baby Caleb... kinda make me want to have my own little Caleb.

What a Weekend...

Had to say good-bye to Tracy so we took Camden on Tracy's Bye-Bye Bandana Bar Crawl.

Had to make it to at least one bar. Camden's a lightweight. We're good parents- we know her limit ;)
Had to wish Eric a Happy Birthday so we took Camden to Corona for some Coronas. Meeting Eric's friends helped put all the pieces together :)

Had to meet some new friends so Camden invited the Cho's, Judy and Anthony, and the Suns over for a BBQ. Garrick actually held a baby. Now that's a first!

Had to try to save the Sea Turtles and reduce plastic bag usage, so guests received reusable grocery bags as BBQ favors. Thanks for the idea, Erica! You're brilliant. http://www.poconorecord.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?

Had to meet some old friends, so Camden went to the Aquarium of the Pacific. I'm sure Mrs. Kimball and Christi will post pics of us all because I forgot to take pictures of the actual people :)  I love Sea Dragons!
Have to go to bed now.

Our Lame Labradoodle

So... Cad's been a little sheltered. Since I was about seven months pregnant, our little family gave up the hiking trips. So poor little Cad hadn't been out in the wild of Orange County for a while.

Well, he had a little Boxer friend, Koa, come and visit this weekend. To Cad's credit he did try to keep up with Koa, after establishing that it was HIS home. But Cad's a little old and a little sheltered. His paws are just a little too delicate for the outdoors, and he ended up with sore tootsies. He spent the whole day on the couch and needed a little assistance going to the pottie this afternoon.

Here's a video clip of Eric helping him outside...

He never was able to potty that night, poor guy. Eric wasn't about to hold up his legs in place.

Boobs Are Amazing

We (Camden and Adrienne) were sitting by the pool yesterday with a few other girlfriends, so it's not a wonder that the topic of boobs came up. (Sorry boys, no pics in this post).

Anyway, boobs are AMAZING! Not only do they make us look look good in bikinis and spout nutritious immunities, but they also change the formula of the breast milk to the needs of the child that we're breastfeeding. (In case you feed multiple children.) Apparently, our boobs smell our baby's breath and can detect what our baby needs. So if our baby is lacking in iron, for example, the make-up of our breast milk changes to carry more iron. I think I may breastfeed until Camden's 10! (Sooooo joking here.)

Ok, so maybe it's not so much our boobs that are smelling as it is our nose. And maybe it's not so much the baby's breath than it is the pheromones in her breath. Or maybe it's not so much our noses and the pheromones, but the person who created our noses and pheromones....

Whatever. We're amazing.

4th of July Weekend

Another reminder for Tony and his family that our nation is just SO much better...

Funnel Cake and Fireworks!

We decided to visit some of Tony's friends at the Wild Animal Park the next day. Camden wasn't too impressed, but we were! Especially with the baby giraffes and how we sized up to gorillas.

SPF 1000

Even though I've been dying to take Camden to the pool, I've been putting it off because of all those harmful rays that bounce from every direction off the water. However, since Camden is now three months old, her epidermis must be able to take those strong beatings. Tony and Eric decided to join us and act as her human sun block (just in case) by keeping her in Tony's shadow. ... somehow I don't think it works that way.
