While the girls are on the floor doing their gymnastics class, the boys, Thatcher and Jack, keep Sarah and I on our toes with various antics. We try and keep them stationary in the stands with an extraordinary amount of snacks (from healthy to the good stuff like lollipops), smart phone games, books and trucks. When those things fail, they start running all over the place in a space that is far from toddler-friendly. How long before we can put these two in some sort of organized activity?!

Baby Sleep Positions
The following image has been making the rounds on Facebook and I had to share it again. For those of you with young children, I am sure you can relate.
Todd and I got such a kick out of this because for the past few months Todd ends up getting the "Neck Scarf" from Thatcher. We are not exactly sure what time he ends up in our bed, it is pretty early in the morning and still dark. It isn't consistent either, sometimes he seems to do it every single morning and then there are times we don't see him for weeks. But when he does wander in to our room, he brings with him a ton of stuff (sippy cup, his pillow, large stuffed animals, trucks, trains, dinosaurs) and he climbs literally on top of Todd, piles all the gear he brought on top of me and goes right back to sleep. Cute, right? Oh and he snores, cute baby snores, but it is still snoring. ;)
The Name Game
At preschool Sam's teacher asked her how she spelled her name and she said very confidently, "S-A-M". Her teacher told her that was not her full name. Sam wasn't exactly sure what she meant by that and told her again, it is just "S-A-M". Poor girl is all confused with her various names. Anyways, she has since learned to spell the whole thing and is very excited about it. I should probably teach her "Sammie" or is it "Sammy"???
Thatcher's latest is he has finally learned to respond to the question, "What is your name?" Prior to that, strangers were met with the most confused look from Thatcher and I'd have to explain to them that he is only one and has no idea what you are asking. But now he responds with "Chat-cher". They look at me wondering what kind of name I gave him. They really look confused when he responds saying his name is "Enchilada". We have no idea why he responds that way sometimes....

Last Saturday, Todd and I went out to dinner at the new restaurant in town, Cielito. Todd and his brother did all the decorative finishes including Venetian plaster, the silver leaf ceilings, lime washed walls,the frames, the columns and pretty much everything in the restaurant that looks fancy. The food, drinks, and of course decor are amazing and it is nice to see a new restaurant in Santa Barbara open up with such success. I hope they keep the momentum going because we certainly enjoyed it!
After dinner we met up with the Mike and Sarah for drinks at Blush and then we moved our party to The Savoy.
