Ryker + Maggie

 

I was so happy when I found out that Ryker proposed to Maggie! Parker is the one that set them up. Their friend Ben took their engagement photos. 

Ryker is the first of Parker's friends to get married. 

It is fun because we already know Maggie. She used to come hang out at our house. 

Nayla was a bridesmaid. She looked beautiful all dressed up! I love that she and Addy have been friends there whole lives. 

I took this picture of Hayden and Brody hanging out. He enjoyed seeing Brody's new motorcycle. I'm happy that they have remained friends since we moved. 

It was fun to get a picture with our friends Janice and Ben. It is crazy that they have two of their kids married now. We love hanging out with Janice and Ben. I'm grateful that our kids have grown up together!

It was sweet to see Janice dance with Ryker. I can't wait for my chance to dance with my sons at their weddings. 

It was cute to see Ryker and Maggie dance together. I have known Ryker since he was 2 and I can't believe that he is all grown up and married!

Emily's husband Mike was swinging their daughter Oakley around the dance floor. It was adorable!

Parker was one of the first to go out there and get the party started on the dance floor. It was fun to see him and his friends having a great time. They even threw a pretend lasso and roped Ryker in. 

Halle and Addy had fun dancing together. 

It was sweet to see Parker dancing with his girlfriend Emma. 

Parker and Ryker even danced together. I think they were going for a spin that got tangled up in the process. They make me laugh!

Ryker asked Parker to be his best man.  Parker told me that he cried at their temple sealing.  I love the friendship that these two have!

I was hoping that one of my girls would catch the wedding bouquet. 

They had a confetti send off. Parker told me the story behind it the next day.  Maggie's mom had forgotten the send off bubbles and didn't realize until right before it was time. Parker had bought some confetti cannons not really knowing why. Maggie's mom said that Parker was an answer to her prayers that day. I love that story and I'm proud of my boy!

The groomsmen decorated the getaway car. The reason it was tastefully done was thanks to Emma. We are so happy for Ryker and Maggie!!

Halle's new job

 

Halle started working this month as a server at Olive Garden. The kids and I went to visit her at work on September 10th!

She kept the breadsticks and salad coming.  Hayden ordered pizza and fries. 

She grated fresh parmesan cheese on our entrees. 

We even got a 25 percent off family discount.  It was fun seeing Halle on the job. It was the best service that we have ever had at Olive Garden!

Hayden's senior year!

 

I have a tradition to look back at all of my kids first day of school pictures over the years. Hayden was excited to start preschool with Miss Marci at Smarty pants preschool!

He started Kindergarten at Thunder Ridge Elementary. 

It was adorable to see him go down the slide with his little sister Addy. 

This is his first grade back to school picture. 

He enjoyed riding the bus to school with his siblings and friends.

Hayden started second grade that year.

Hayden started 6th grade back at Thunder Ridge Elementary. 

The kids had to wear masks back to school. Kenna sewed these masks for them. 

Hayden started 7th grade at Visit Heights Middle School. It was his first school pictures at our new house. 

Hayden posed like this for his 8th grade pictures. It made me laugh!

Hayden started 9th grade  He was doing a hybrid program. He went to the middle school and did some online classes.

Hayden started 10th grade that year.  He took a woodshop class at Westlake High School and then did the rest of his classes online through Mountain Heights Academy. 

 

Hayden started his junior year doing online school at Mountain Heights Academy. He also got glasses and I think they make him look grown up. 

Hayden is a senior this year! He is doing his core classes at Mountain Heights Academy. He wanted Ollie to join him for a picture. 

I can't believe how handsome and grown up he is now! I hope this year brings good things for him!

Trial Lake

 

We went camping at Trial Lake August 26-30th!  We were surprised to see that the lake level was not too low. 

Addy invited her friend Lacey to come with us. They both got to miss a couple of days of school. 

Hayden and I enjoyed hanging around the campfire that night. It was fun to hear him make up scary stories. 

The next day we put the fishing boat in at the dock. Hayden drove the boat for the first time. 

The girls cooked hot dogs one afternoon. 

They kept busy painting their bikini t-shirts. 

They are the cutest friends! I took some pictures of them before the sun went down. 

We were happy that Parker, Emma, Halle, and Andrew were able to come up on Saturday! We played Skip-bo in the camping trailer while it was rainy. 

As soon as the rain cleared up Kev took some of the kids fishing. I took this picture of Halle and Andrew with our big umbrella. 

Kev took this fun selfie while they were out fishing. We caught 32 fish on this trip. Once, Kev and I had three fish on poles all at once! 

Ollie enjoys being out on the boat with us. I wore my beanie and hoodie the whole time we were camping. It was cold! 

We saw Parker and Emma out on the kayaks. 

Everyone helped to make the Mesquite Chicken that night. It tastes extra good on a cold night.
