Rocks arrival!

On April 30th 2011 this wonderful 6.6 pounds and 18 inches long blessing decided to join our lives 9 days early!  When I went to bed that night I told Nate that we were going to have a baby tomorrow.  That next morning I was woken up by a pretty good contraction.  An hour later we were on the road to Utah!  To make a long trip short, Nate drove fast and we thought my Mom was going to be admitted in the hospital along with me!  We had a small delay when we got pulled over, but with my contractions being 4-5 mins apart the cop was able to witness one and called ahead for us and we had no problems the rest of the way!  We got to the hospital at 12:30 and  I had my precious baby boy at 1:50 p.m.  It was a great delivery.  Loved my nurse and doctor!  I also had my wonderful husband and Mom by my side and my mother-in-law made it last minute before he arrived!  Many thanks to all who helped with Zoie, made the long trip up, visited, brought us dinners and sent prayers and thoughts our way!  It's crazy how well he fits into our lives.
Zoie doesn't know it yet but she is in love with her brother.  From the first time she saw him she wanted to hold him for about 10 seconds then shes done for about 5 mins then she wants to hold him again.  Now that hes been around longer we catch her sneaking in a kiss and a "Hi boy" here and there when she doesn't feel the attention will be taken off of her!  She loves to help get him in his car seat and change his diapers.  I will tell more about there bonding time in the next post with pictures.  For now here is our first few days together!  Enjoy! :)

This felt great after laboring in the car for 2 hrs!

9 Months of Bliss!

Being pregnant for the first time is always fun and you remember to take a picture every week and every moment is written down.  Well Im sure glad my second was a boy!  Nate say boys don't care too much about how many memories they have as a baby as long as there is some sort of proof  :)  While being pregnant with Rockston and taking care of Zoie, I was always coaching and doing photography and trying to keep up on the everyday life chores, so I didn't do as many pictures as we did with ZZ but I think theres enough for this little guy!
From the moment I found out I was pregnant I knew he was a boy, so we knew our little Rock was on his way!  It was an exciting moment and scary all at once.  This pregnancy was totally different from Zoie.  I felt great the whole time and kept dancing.  I stayed in really good shape up to about 36 weeks and boy does the pictures show that! haha  I also think this pregnancy was so much easier because I wasn't as scared, I was busy taking care of my first baby, and I felt good which does wonders! I know these pictures are a bit late but its been crazy around here and my computer is finally fixed and works faster. :)

My sister in law threw me a baby shower for this little man!  It was great!  She used his brown and green colors to decorate and had a lot of goodies.  Thank you very much Erica.  She was taking the pictures so there are not any of her, but lots of her great party!  Thank you to everyone who came and gave us gifts to welcome Rockston!

Our Baby/Toddler Sweetheart!

From the day she was born this girl could brighten a room with her eyes.  Then she began to brighten rooms with her smile.  This little baby could smile on cue.  A camera came out and she would stop what she was doing and smile like she was a pro!  Well things change. Now being a toddler, it's not cool to smile anymore ya know her friends might think shes weird! ;)  We don't know where she learned the hands on her hips thing but it's definitely part of her attitude!  Here's a little slide show of pictures. Enjoy!
