Will Santa Still Come?

This morning we woke up and checked weather.com to see what the temp was like outside so we knew if walking to the bus stop was going to happen or not (we walk if it is above -5 degrees). Well....when we saw this we knew we were NOT walking this morning!!! While we were in the car driving I saw the temp had gone down even more this morning so I thought I would share just how cold we saw it get this morning.
I wish I could just STAY HOME!!!
(sorry about the picture quality, all the pics were taken with my phone)

Monster Mash

This year the kids were really excited for Monster Mash since we wont be here for the "real" Halloween to take the kids Trick-Or-Treating so Monster Mash was a HUGE hit!!! I told the kids we were going to buy new costumes so I opened up the dress up box and told them they could be anything they wanted. Here are the picks of what they picked out.....
HARRY POTTER

TINKER BELL

SPIDER MAN GIRL

When I told her to take off the mask she was sooooo cute!! Look at this smile!! She thought it was soooo cool that no one was going to be able to tell that it was her. And to make it even better when we were at Monster Mash everyone kept calling her a boy and even her friends didn't recognize her until she would pull off her mask with this huge smile on her face. Isn't she soooo cute!!!

Get Well Soon

Saige's friend Kimber felt sad for her since she has been sick all week so Friday night she showed up at the door holding these beautiful flowers. Saige was soooo excited!!! This is her first time getting flowers!! Kimber picked them out all by herself. We are soooo happy that Saige has such a good friend!! Thanks Kimber!! Just in case you are wondering Saige is all better now!!

Getting Closer

The kids made the comment this morning that our chain is getting a lot shorter and that we are getting closer to going to Disneyland. Later in the day they started asking to have another picture with the chain. They were very specific on standing pretty close to the same way they did last time. They were soooo cute. We have been having to show Kaden google maps and the route we are going to take and explain what days we will be where and how far we will be driving etc. He is so excited that we will be driving through 4 states to get to Disneyland (I don't think it will be as exciting as he thinks). He is also very excited to go and see the ocean. I am hoping we can get a family pic there. Anyhow...here are the pics of the kids and our chain that is definitely getting shorter!!!

I can't believe how close we are getting to leaving!!!
Aspynn ask if they could PLEASE do silly faces
In this pick I decided to tell them to say "Were going to Disneyland!!!". Well, I just can't get over Aspynn's smile. Do you think she is excited or what?!?!?!

Helping Dad

It's so funny how as you watch your kids do things memories flood back to you of doing them as a child yourself. Well, when Jake ask Saige to help him hang the doors on our little china cupboard I remembered how my Dad used to ask me to help him with things. Now, the one part that was different is that apparently Saige is a good helper and I was a busy helper. Saige stood as still as possible trying to hold the doors as still as possible, I, on the other hand, was always looking all around at everything seeing what there was to see and then my Dad would holler at me to pay attention to what I was doing. The reason I bring this up is, I don't know if Saige is just a really good helper or if Jake is just really patient but for whichever it is I am grateful!!! Isn't she cute helping her Dad!

Maybe I am really the problem because here I am taking her attention away from her duties to take a picture for me.

What A Good Big Brother

Aspynn waits all day for Kaden and Saige to come home and once they finally do get here Aspynn is waiting for Kaden to read her a story. Well...you should have seen the excitement on her face when she saw that her brother got a book on insects (which includes grasshoppers, her FAVORITE insect ever!!!). She smiled from ear to ear as he read to her about grasshoppers. I love that he can read because now I don't have to read the same book 400 times, I can read it 200 and he can read it 200. I also have to add that my little cutie is wearing my old dance costume from when I was little. It is so cute to see my girls wear the outfit!!

Aren't they sooooo cute!!!

Montana Heat Wave

When I woke up this morning to let Burgee outside to go potty I decided to check the temp to see how cold it was outside. Boy was I surprised when I read the thermometer and it said it was 7.9 degrees outside!! It's amazing how cold it can get here.

Is This Really October?!?!?!

This morning we woke up to snow again and it has been snowing ALL DAY. Now....I don't know if I am complaining or not, it is BEAUTIFUL, but, I am afraid for what this means in the actual Winter time. The kids are totally excited about the snow. All they can talk about is going outside to play in the snow (well, besides going to Disneyland). The biggest problem with that right now is that Kaden & Saige don't have any snow pants. I guess I am going to be going to town today to buy new snow pants.

Aspynn was sooooo excited about the snow

I think it is funny to see roses and green trees and SNOW

Burgee has a hard time because with his fur the snow balls up on his legs and he has a hard time running around

Aspynn really wanted to pull Burgee but he wasn't going t have anything to do with that.
What a HAPPY girl!!
Gotta love snow angels
Burgee was checking Aspynn out while she was laying on the sled

Don't those eyes say it all??

Snow Already!?!?!?!

Last night before bed I went to take Burgee out to go potty and this is what I saw. Can't believe we already have snow. I am starting to wonder if this is going to be a really LONG, really COLD winter.

You Put The Lime In The Coconut

So the other day at the store Saige was begging me to buy a coconut, so I decided it would be fun for all of us to learn about cracking a coconut open and tasting it before it was sweetened etc. so we decided to get one. Saige begged Jake for 2 days to open that coconut and finally on Saturday night he did it. The kids were soooooo excited. We all came upstairs and Jake poked a hole in the smallest eye and drained the water (it's not milk, I actually learned that coconut milk is when we mix the coconut flesh and water together then you get milk) into a cup he then made everyone take a small sip (it was NASTY). Then we went in the garage for him to hit it with the hammer and break it open so we could taste the flesh. Well....boy were we in for a surprise. Here are the pics.

Waiting for Dad to open the coconut

Even Burgee was excited

The Coconut was MOLDY!!! I couldn't believe it. We had all just tasted this NASTY coconut water and it was all because the coconut was MOLDY!! Lesson here, open the coconut all the way to see if it is good before tasting the water. YUCK!! Needless to say I took it back to Wal-Mart.

Dinner Outside

Normally eating outside isn't a big deal, but we have never had a table outside to eat on so were were really excited. So here we are eating at our "new" picnic table.

Don't they look sooooo happy!!

The Countdown

On September 27th the kids wanted to know if they could make a chain to start the countdown to going to Disneyland so of course I said yes. Here are some pics of the kids making the chain. They are soooo excited!!!

Saige cutting strips of paper
Aspynn taking a turn
Kaden taking a turn (did I ever mention how much I love these things!!)
Coloring the strips of paper (they put a LOT of time and effort into making this chain)
Showing me the chain

The kids were excited that the chain wasn't tooooo long = )
