72 Hour Kits

 Hurricane Issac flew past Tampa on Monday morning.  We were blessed to only have heavy winds, and lots of rain.  School was cancelled for the day and most people just stayed indoors.  I watched the news with the twins, realizing that our little family was not prepared.  The church has always told members to have a two year food supply along with a 72 hour kit in case of emergencies.  Well, we have a pretty good food storage, and no72 hour kit.  So.... the twins and I went out in the rain and visited Dollar Tree!!!  For FHE that night our family put together a 72 hour kits.  The twins had a lot of fun filling up their zip-lock-bags with "treats" and then we ate some fruit snacks for dessert.  Now I feel a little better.

A great Saturday

Saturday, August 25th was a great day.  Leif had the day off and we got to be together ALL day.  The twins and I went for a run real early and then we all worked out at the gym and watched Micky Mouse Club.  We then drove to MOSI and spent the morning playing with all the fun science experiments.  The twins had a lot of fun playing with Daddy.

 After MOSI we had lunch and then went to Bush Gardens.  It wasn't very busy so Leif and I got to take turns doing some adult rides!  The twins then rode their children's ride.  They loved the airplane ride and motorcycle rides.  It was so much fun watching them.

 After we got home we had left-over pizza and then watched a movie.  It was a great day.  I love my family.

Cute Stories

Every night we check on the twins before we go to bed.  So after Leif and I finished a movie we went into their room.  To our surprise we found 2 little-buck-naked-babies sleeping in their beds.   Leif and I couldn't stop laughing as we put diapers and PJ's back on them.   They are so silly.

Micah pushed Savannah.  She started to cry.  So I brought Micah over to Savannah and explained to him that he hurt his sister.  I told Micah to say "sorry" and give sister a hug.  He thought about it... he was quite.  Then Savannah loudly said, "SORRY" and gave Micah a hug!!!!

Went for a bike-ride with the twins.  The bike-trailer has val-crow on the bottom, and sometimes they open it up.  While I was at a stop light I look behind me and see 4 little hands waving.  Savannah and Micah then say together, "Hello, Mommy".  And they kept waving.

Great Saturday

August 18th was a great Saturday.  It started out with a early morning run.  I took the twins in the jogger so Leif could study.  We somehow ran to this awesome park.  It was called Ross Norton Park, it had a lake, playground, tennis courts, base-ball field, pool and splash park.  While we were playing at the park it started to rain. So the twins and I got to run back in the nice-warm-rain.  It was a fun-run.

After getting home I put some pork in the crock-pot and we all (Leif included) went to our gym to lift weights.  The twins love going to the gym with us.  We let them walk on the tread-mills and lifts weights.  They also love watching Disney.  

After cleaning up we headed off to a birthday party for Everest.  He is a little boy in Nursery with the twins.  We had a lot of fun playing & talking with our friends.  It was going to be a pool party but ended up being inside... still raining.

By the time we got home, it was nap time.  The twins went to bad.  I went grocery shopping and got myself a haircut.  Leif studied and worked on his Sunday Lesson.  When I got home the kids were still sleeping so Leif and I read together on the bed, and enjoyed quite time.  

The 4 of us then ate and early dinner (and I didn't have to cook it.. thanks slow-cooker).   Our friends then came over for games.  We played 2 rounds of Settlers-of-Catan, ate ice-cream, and watched our kids play together.  

It was a great day.  What I love about our day is... we didn't go anywhere or spend any money.  You can find so much joy with just the simple things.   Life really is great with family, friends, a good book, and a good run!!!!

Baby Bonnie

My dear little sister had her little baby on Saturday August 3rd 2012.  They named her Bonnie Lorrine Felhburg.  She weighed a whole 8 lbs 3 oz, and had a whole head of hair. 

I am so excited for my sister and her new little family.  Amy is going to be an excellent mother.  She is my little sister, but I look up to her in so many ways.  Amy is a wonderful kindergarten teacher, she sells bows & jewelry, she is an awesome cook, she was the RS President, and she makes really cute babies.  I love you Amy and am so excited for you.

Nap Time

I put the twins down for a nap around 1:00.  Thirty minutes I went to check on them.  This is what I found!!!  (Their pants were on when they went to bed!)
