Christmas Party

Last friday we went to the annual Thomas family Christmas party! Its always so much fun! There were games, food, and Santa even stopped by! It was good to see everyone and spend some time catching up!

School Christmas Program

The kids got to sing in a christmas program this week along with the rest of the school! They loved every minute of it,especially Kenzie!

Today the kids had their christmas party and played lots of games and ate lots of goodies! Christmas time is so fun with all the things there are to do!

Mini Prep Christmas Party

Last Saturday Kenzies dance team had their christmas party. It was in the morning so the girls got some yummy pancakes and juice! They always have so much fun when they get together! They got to make a cute hair bow, play dress they snow man, musical chairs, and pass the present. We wish more of the girls could have made it but it was tons of fun!

Zoo Lights

Last week we took the kids to zoo lights. We have done this for the past few years. It was a little rainy but we were bundled up so it wasnt too cold. The kids got to see santa and send a list off to the north pole. Santa was very nice and just sat there and talked to both kids for a while. The kids usually tell us that the santas that they see are just santas helpers but they said this is the real santa because he had a real beard and was really nice!

Christmas Projects

Whats better then being with my kids, having fun, making silly faces, and making fun crafts? Absolutely nothing! They always come home from school and ask if they can do a fun craft or have a fun snack. Its not always easy to think of new things but they love doing whatever it is I come up with!

Santa

Drues work had their annual christmas party and the kids got some fun treats, a present and to sit on santas lap. They look forward to this every year!

Rice Krispie Treats

We have had tons of fun making all kinds of Christmas crafts and goodies! The kids really like making rice krispie treats a couple weeks ago!

 

Kenzies New Glasses

Kenzie has been having some pretty bad headaches and eye pain for the last couple months. At the Kindergarten eye screening she didnt do very well so we knew that combined with the headaches and eye pain something was wrong. At Kolbys doctors appointment to check his blood we asked their pediatrician about it and she suggested we take her to a pediatric opthamologist. We had her appointment and found out she has an astigmatism and amblyopia in her left eye. We were given two options, either have her wear an eye patch a few hours a day or wear glasses. We let her choose and she chose to get glasses. She got to pick out her own frames, purple of course, and got them yesterday. She looks so cute! I was a little worried about how the kids in her class would react so I went with them to school today but to my surprise they were all really nice to her. We got a lot of "wow Kenzie got glasses"! and a few even told her she looks cute and they like her glasses, even a few boys! I am so glad she likes them! Kolby is a little upset because he wants glasses. He says they make you smarter!

Christmas Decorating

The sunday after Thanksgiving we put up our Christmas decorations. Destanie bought the kids their very own trees and decorations so the kids got to put them in their room. They love it! We put up our big tree and the decorations and then the kids got to decorate their very own little gingerbread houses. They did a really god job! It is now feeling a little like christmas just missing the snow!
