Anna Ruth

Anna Ruth was born October 21st, at 3:13pm weighing 8 pounds and 20.5 inches long. She has been the most wonderful addition to our family, and with three doting siblings she is never lacking attention.  Updating the blog slid even further down the to do list after her arrival, but better late than never, right?

She's here!

She stole all of our hearts immediately

Six!!
Three proud big siblings
pretty smitten

DeeDee was such an amazing help for those first couple of weeks
Heading home

 The stork came by!
I'm so thankful our three girls have the sweetest big brother
 Happy Birthday Anna Ruth

The big three dubbed her Queen Anna Ruth
The girls begged to feed her from the moment she came home

She fits right in and we are so grateful the Lord gave her to us!

A fun filled August and September

On our way back from Branson we stopped to visit our sweet friends, the Kiewiets.  The kids hadn't seen each other in two years and they just picked up right where they left off.  So sweet.

A little while after getting home we hoped in the car for another quick road trip to visit our GR buddies.  I couldn't stand staying away any longer.  :)  We got to celebrate Langley's birthday while we were there which made her bday extra special.

I love this bunch of kids!
And their mommas!

A donut eating parade

These two.
A rousing game of freeze tag.
The boys got to have a special sleepover night.  Popcorn fun!
and we got out for a girl's night too!  My heart was so full after a quick few days with these dear friends.
The next weekend the Kiewiets came our way because Michael and Nate had tickets to the PGA Championship that was here in Louisville.  We were so thankful for another fun weekend with them.

We headed to the zoo for some fun.
They left the morning of Langley's birthday so we celebrated with donuts before they hit the road.

Our special 4 year old had a great day!

She got some extra loving from big brother
Bedtime stories with daddy, the jungle gym.  ;)
A couple of days later this guy started first grade!  Be still my heart.  He is loving it and we are grateful.
The girls were excited for him too.
Langley started ballet.  I can't handle the cuteness and it is going so much better than our last attempt.

This is her sweet little friend, Emma.  :)
Then it was the girl's turn for their first day.  4's preschool for Langley and Parent's Day Out for Kendall.

We were thrilled that our friends, the Hands, drove through Louisville on their way home from North Carolina and stopped for a visit.   We headed out to Woodford Reserve Distillery for a tour with them one afternoon.
My sweet sweet friend, Michele!
I'm sad I didn't take anymore pictures but it was such a special and fun couple of days.

Just last weekend we made it out to Churchill Downs for Family Fun day and it really was impressive!

The kids enjoyed picking the horses they thought would win.
And Langley especially loved the pony ride.
Just hanging in the backyard
Some lazy Saturday fun
Getting ready.  I thought the belly should be documented.  :)
Luke and Langley are both doing soccer this year!
Daddy practicing with the girls
And this is the look we get from Langley every game.  She just smiles and stands there the.entire.game.  We're thinking soccer may not be her thing but at least she's out there and smiling.  :)
