Sometimes, I Get A Good Feeling

How's it going people? Sorry for being M.I.A for so long from the blogosphere, just had no motivation whatsoever to blog despite all the free time I'm having on my hands. Most of the time, I can't even recall what I'm doing! Haha.

Basically, since my last update, I've went to Singapore for a short trip, then KL to attend my cousin's wedding. Then, school reopened early January, so my parents went back to work, and I'm stuck at home most afternoons or going to the gym. Life has been quite mundane during these few weeks.

However, now it's that time of year again! Everyone (well, almost) is flocking back from outstation back to their (relatively) little hometown of Sibu, just to celebrate Chinese New Year!

For us who took A-Level exams in October/November, our results were released, just this morning! I saw the shock in everyone's eyes (well, Facebook statuses actually) when they knew results were to come out on the first day of CNY. I slept relatively well, then my body decided to go into panic mode at about 0730 (results were to be released at 0800 local time). Didn't take as long as I expected to log in. When I saw my results, I breathed a heavy sigh of relief. All my prayers were answered, and I got the results I wanted! I don't give a fuck if mum is hatin' on me for not producing the results she WANTS, I'm still gonna go back to KTT for KI, then off to some random place in India to pursue a degree in dentistry! Thank God for giving me this big red packet on the morning of CNY. Haha.

Now, hopefully I can start learning to enjoy what could be my last CNY in Sibu for the next 5 years to come!

Seasons Greetings and Life Updates

How's it going? Hope all of you are having a blessed Christmas out there. In case you're wondering how I celebrate my Christmas, well, nothing out of the ordinary at all. No presents, no turkey, just a simple church service in the morning like any other Sunday. But all of us know, Christmas holds a greater meaning than presents, turkeys and puddings, or Santa Claus, as we all received a present greater than anything else the world can offer on this day.

Moving on to my life. Didn't really do anything out of the ordinary during the holidays. Being fed well, resting well, hitting the gym or basketball courts everyday, spending long hours in my bedroom in front of the laptop til it irks my folks, procrastinating with my dramas and movies as I got caught up playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 or simply due to plain lazyness.

Worth mentioning was my fam and I went to Kuching last Monday. Journey was long and tedious as always. Kuching is developing rapidly. A central bus station near the airport called Kuching Sentral and Cityone Megamall (which includes tenants like GSC and Chatime!) are under construction. Stayed at a grand hotel near the airport, Four Points by Sheraton, at a good price if compared to hotels of the same standard out West.

So far, I've met two KTT-ians who've came to Sibu to visit with their families. First is Jonathon, my classmate and neighbour in KTT. Together with Ying Ying and Shu Fei, we had him try our zao chai hun ngan and chicken soup mee sua with Foochow red wine. Then on Monday night, all of us, minus Shu Fei, went to Taman Muhibbah for supper. The tyre of my mum's car got punctured after I hit a pothole in the ground while sending Jon back to his dad's friend's house in Taman Permai (a very confusing place to drive around @.@), but thank God there was enough air in the tyre to send Ying Ying home before having to drive myself home, nearby, on three wheels. Lol.

On Friday night, I met up with Grace. Her family comes to Sarawak once a year as her mother is from Sibu. Grace has caused quite a ripple before even arriving here. Howe and my sister asked me about her, and those are just the people I know about. Haha. We went to Cafe-Cafe to have dinner. I ordered their Penang Char Kuey Teow on purpose, which didn't turn out to be nice. Most of the time there I just listened to her crapping about how bored she was in Sibu and how interesting her life back in Penang was. I wasn't offended though, and just laughed off whatever she said. She's quite a fun person to be around though. Haha.

I'll be headed to Singapore tomorrow, than up to KL to attend my cousin's wedding, more updates til then I guess.

Feliz Navidad everyone!

After A2

Finally, I've got the motivation to blog about my final week or so in West Malaysia after completing my A-levels. White Collar can wait for the time being. Haha.

So straight after finishing my last paper on the 18th of November, a whole busload of us KTT-ians went to Bukit Bintang. Tsin and I made our way to Pavilion. The Christmas deco was up relatively early in my opinion, but looked nice nonetheless. Tsin had this unsatisfied hunger for big chunks of beef that started since exam period and finally she got her wish as we had Tony Roma's for lunch. I think I had sirloin, done medium rare, while she had ribeye, well done (correct me if I'm wrong lol).

After lunch, we parted ways, as always, to start looking for our outfits for our graduation night. I had my eyes set on this blazer from Topman, even troubling the salesperson quite a bit as I tried on various sizes, but I ended up getting myself a Domanchi (Alan would be so proud of me lol) blazer, with full approval from Tsin. Now I'm not gonna reveal the actual price here, but the Domanchi blazer costs RM 100 more than the Topman one, so yeah, I felt kinda paiseh as people started asking bout the price. Lol.

Besides shopping, I got to watch the much hyped-about movie You Are the Apple of My Eye (still not released in Sibu yet lol). Could hardly relate the movie to my secondary school life. Back then I was just a timid mouse who shied away from even a brief conversation with girls (college changed me I guess), much less hit on or tackling one, so I've got no beautiful love story to share, much less write. Haha.

Next day, went to the airport during noon time to meet up with mum, whom I haven't seen since my Raya sem break. The dye on her hair has worn off quite a bit, and the evidence of her age is becoming more and more visible. We took a bus at 1400 to Malacca, to meet up with sis, studying in Malacca Manipal Medical College. Sis just got her car, a brand new Vios, and so we had no problem getting around Malacca freely. We holed up in this really nice budget hotel, Hotel 96. Really grateful to my sis for taking some time off from her busy life as a med student to bring us round, but we spent most of our time eating at the usual places (Nadeje, Makko nyonya restaurant, etc.), or holed up in the hotel room while my sis attends some of her classes. Malacca has lost it's attraction to me. Is it because those who made it fun are no longer around? Hmm.

From Tuesday to Thursday, mum and I were practically holed up in Midvalley, never leaving it's vicinity until it was time for mum to catch her flight at the airport. During those few days, I settled my ties for grad nite, bought a bottle of CK Free, and a movie ticket for Immortals which I ended up not watching (you'll know why if you can gain access to my other blog lol), and met up with Eric, plus the KTT girls who stopped by on Thursday morning for a breakfast.

Then came Saturday. It was nice of Hui Ling to let me join them after I asking for a favour with transportation to the hotel for grad nite. We left KTT in the morning for Sunway Pyramid, and Empire Shopping Gallery, where the girls did their makeup and hairdo for grad nite. I'd say it was a pretty interesting experience watching the girls transform from plain Janes to divas, despite having to sit there for hours doing almost nothing. I joined the all-star lineup after putting on my suit and consensus-decided gray tie. Gone were the days where I'd look back at the photos in my Form 5 farewell party photo album on Facebook and cringe at the fashion disaster that was me. I had the honour of driving all of the ladies from Subang to Pan Pacific Hotel at KLIA, thanks to Subang GPS-es Grace and Min.

The person in the middle is a tranny. OMFG.

Nothing out of the ordinary during grad nite, but I was treated to a hell lotta eye candy, all thanks to the power of makeup and dresses! HAHA! Will also never forget all the complements I received towards my outfit (not the person sadly though lol) which made me feel like a fuckin' million dollars, baybeh! Wooh! Haha. But all in all everyone looked their best and had fun taking pictures with each other.

Grace. My photo with her got the most likes on Facebook, and she's attracted the attention of a couple of my friends.

Yu Wei the Greek Goddess! Oh my Goddess! LOL

Yan Yuan. You don't need heavy makeup when you have natural beauty as great as hers. Sadly, she's already taken by...

... Yong Kee, the most handsome guy of the night, sadly he didn't win the title of prince.

My pick for most drastic transformation. Jo. Haha.

The BFF and I.

Next morning, Mei, Tsin and I went all the way to Titiwangsa bus station to meet with Eric. We all went up to Genting, with Eric's cousin, Terrance tagging along. No theme park rides or anything, just went up to enjoy the breeze and Starbucks coffee.

BFF, your face is ROUND. Hahaha.

Next day, came the camp with the dreaded three-letter acronym, BTN. I was allocated to Kem Bina Negara Tanjung Rhu, Sepang, about an hours drive away from KTT, and is located by the seaside! BTN wasn't entirely brainwash or racism, just boring lectures with the occasional cold joke, group discussions, and a patriotic song performance during the final night. I believe the best part was forging new friendships with people whom were previously mere acquaintances. Oh, and for anyone going in soon, be prepared for what's in store during Thursday night, I do not know if I'm at liberty to discuss what went down here, but you can always PM me if you are curious.

Finally, after a tedious packing session on Friday, I found myself back at home after boarding the earliest flight out on Saturday morning. I'm just so grateful that I can finally settle down and enjoy life without much worries.

Back in Black!

I'm home for a long holiday, bitchessss!!! Hahaha! *sorry if I sound different as the Ruby Screwdriver is taking it's effect I guess*

So, almost three months of holiday, and I've got no idea nor plans. Just live one day by one day I guess. Can be sure I'll be spending the chunk of my time in front of the laptop watching dramas, movies or online. Thinking of joining Twitter. See how that works out. Gym, cardio and basketball sessions won't be missing as well.

Live While I'm Alive

I'll definitely remember that crazy thing, driven by that powerful "L" word, that I did this afternoon. :)

Hello, on Blogger Mobile

How it do people? Your boy here, using the Blogger app plus wifi from Dragon-i, Midvalley. Haha.

So exams have finished almost a week ago. Post A2 activities included shopping for grad nite at Pavilion, going down to Malacca with mom to meet up with sis, and now about two days of retail therapy in Midvalley. Coming up will be my actual grad nite and BTN camp before heading home for good for a three month, and hoepefully not longer, holiday. Can't wait for grad nite where we will all suit up and look fab. Especially the girls *rawr* ;) Then it shall be a long, mundane holiday when I'm thinking of picking up a job, but the only thing that comes to my mind, is just frequenting the gym and chiseling my flaacid figure. Please someone tell me how to spend my holiday :(

Baby What If?

Slightly-above-average movie, but it was the quotes that won the game at the end of the day.
:)

或许,那个平行时空里的你我,都会比较勇敢面对自己吧。
