Elder Larsen is starting his mission, serving in Laie, Hawaii for the next 23 months. It has been a long wait and he is ready to go! He had the craziest mission farewell, kind of like a ward party! It's way more fun to drop off a senior missionary! We'll be excited for updates and to visit him sometime!

Easter
Since my kids love Easter egg hunts so much, I had to make it more fun for me. They had to wear these blow up dinosaur costumes while they searched for eggs. It was so much more entertaining! I wonder what we can do next year?!

Blast from the past!
Our ward asked me to talk about some of my talents for a RS Activity. I wasn't sure what I was going to share, so I started looking through old pictures of my baton twirling and karate days. It was fun to find these pictures and I ended up doing a demonstration at the activity. The funny thing was there was another baton twirler there and we "performed" together! Fun times that were influential in my childhood.

Hiking and Paddleboarding in February!
With record warm and lack of snow, we decided to hike up the mountain at Deer Creek, by the Wallsburg turn. It is much longer to the top than appears while driving around. When we finally got to the top, there was a seat made out of stone, and the weather was so calm and beautiful. We were looking at the water, which looked like glass, then realized the same weather was forecasted the next weekend. So we planned on going paddleboarding in February! I actually went on Thursday with Tyler, but we were right at sunset and even though the day was warm, it got really cold quickly. It was still fun to get the pictures and say we did it. Then on Saturday, it was calm again so Gary and I went out during the middle of the day. We were good entertainment for all the fisherman! It was so fun though. We brought some neoprene socks, which helped keep our feet warm, but it was nicer than we expected. I had so much fun, I actually ended up paddle boarding in March with Jenn. The lack of snow and weather are concerning for water for the summer. but I'm glad we got to make the best for the winter!
