Oh sooo busy!!

I will update the pics' later but for now.....I just wanted to drop a quick note since I will be publishing this as a book for memories!! It's my way of journaling since I never seem to be able to keep up and the prophet says I need to for future generations!...so I am kindof meeting in the middle! So today the LAST day of January 2011 I am home with my sweet baby Chris (not even a baby anymore), we are dancing and singing to the Imagination Movers and cooking! Why?...because my day started out with "I have zucchini, tomatoes,bananas, and red onions taking over my counters!" and I HATE wasting money so.....baking it is today. My lucky neighbors, so for today I am making Lime Bars (oh I have tons of limes and lemons too!) banana bread, zucchini bread, muffins (to freeze as snacks for kiddos at school) and whatever else I find on my many saved food/mommy blogs. Amongst baking and dancing I am doing mountains of laundry and I came to the realization that I LOVE MY LIFE!.....even if my teenager scowled at me and told me I don't love him (took his phone away..again!) and so I forced him to pray with me, forced him to hug me, and told him I loved him as he rolled his eyes but........I still love my life, I am so lucky! Now back to baking, dancing and laundry...oh and playing with my little man! xo~Chris

A Good-Looking Bunch!!!

So the kiddos R back in school, and although I was dreading a strict schedule and I miss the kids here and there {smiling}.....I have to admit I feel better getting my day going at 5am versus 8 or 9am!! I know, I know, sounds cRaZy but I was getting the same amount of sleep and I truly feel better when I wake up earlier (more accomplished too), that being said I look forward to Fridays so we can rest. Zach is in 8th grade {{freaking out over having a Freshman next year}}, in ALL Pre-AP courses, plays Bassoon (will be trying out for Wind Ensemble), and word was leaked to us by someone who saw the coaches roster (SHHHH-wink,wink) that he may be the starting Outside Linebacker!! {I really don't know what that means...I just yell my baby's name and keep praying he jumps back up after each hit}. Kylee {my angelbaby} is BeaUtiFul as always, a sassy (in a cute way) 5th grader, is keeping very busy in school, and has been banned from skateboards! Yes she crashed Again!! When will she learn she inherited her mother's ability to trip over her own feet?Because of this I am overriding her wish to become "a cute SkaTer Chick" and putting her in Ballet. I could care less if she continues but hopefully she can turn a stumble in to something graceful and quit banging up her poor little body! She took a pretty bad spill this time and if she keeps crying at night we are going to have to take her in to have her hip x-rayed! Taylor is a 1st grader this year and about broke my heart when he informed me he didn't need me to walk him into class because "I've got it Mom...I already know what I am doing!" Don't they understand us Moms are the ones that need the reassurance we are handing our babies over to another's care? Apparently I am diminishing his "cool factor". Baby Chris is going to Miss Beth's preschool (an awesome friend w/her Master's in Early Child Development) on Thursday's since 1 day was all I could bear to part with him and that has worked out nicely. A day to myself but not all the time so I miss him terribly. Anyone who has met this little guy knows his "strut"...and he had it going on as he wore his "How To Train A Dragon" backpack. I have definately noticed he is all about being CooL! Well that's it for now....off to bed, 5am comes EarLy!! xo Chris

Been Blog Lazy!!

K...when I stop hanging out at the pool all day, baking/cooking, and cleaning, I will take a minute to update...but for now I am LoVinG my summer!! xoxo

Snow again in Texas....CrAzY!!!

I honestly can't believe it, we thought having a White Christmas was a blessing and then this came along...even better!! It's cold and I am loving it...why is it snow makes the cold more tolerable?! Our beautiful kiddos had a great time, (Mom and Dad too but were taking photos to remember this forever)....I was sad the College was closed tonight, I was looking forward to my swim, but this is worth it. We so far have had the 4th snowiest day ever, and it still hasn't stopped snowing, which means we are not far off for setting the record of the most snow in one day!!!

It's Been Awhile....

We've been real busy just like everyone else! We spent Christmas in TX this year which was very nice...no dragging everything up to UT and back for a family of 6 and then spending extra days in NM when snow shuts down the freeways. This was only our 2nd Christmas out here in 9 years and although we missed family cuddles and parties, we had a blast!! We actually had a white Christmas and stayed in our PJ's ALL day! So now on with the New Year....wonder what 2010 will bring?!

HaPPy BirTHdAY To KyLee MaDiSoN!!

Yesterday was our sweet angelbaby's birthday! A big 10~ Hurray!!! We are so blessed to have you in our family and we love your sweet spirit. One thing that I love about you is your strong will (which will benefit you one day) and we also love your ability to love endlessly. You are amazing with your brothers and I love to watch you try to help every animal you see...I hope you follow your dreams of becoming a Veterinarian, you are a natural and the world would benefit from your love and talent! Keep being true to who you are, remember your family will always love you and your Heavenly Father will always be there for you when you need him! Kisses and Hugs!!

P.s. The mud pic is from another home, we tore down the shed to turn that section of property into a garden and to my horror you and Zach decided to "bathe" in the mud. You were having so much fun, I couldn't get mad so I took pictures instead...boy am I glad I did, look at how much fun you were having! {Look, the straw necklace you loved so much!} xoxo

Zachrey's Birthday Dinner

We were a bit late getting Zach out to dinner since we had injuries and illness the last two weeks but we finally made it out...and was it ever worth it! He picked the Cheesecake factory and we had a great time except Christian was a bit whiney but to give him some credit, it was taking them awhile to get food served last night. Dinner was super yummy, the patio was nice and I earned my dessert running 6.3 miles in the AM so cheescake it was. Mmmm...although I have NO idea how I used to eat most of my meal, have an appetizer, drink, bread and polish off a dessert. I couldn't touch but a few bites of each....YEAH me and lot's of leftovers for today!
