Halloween Baseball Tournament

Shay's Marshalls team had a baseball tournament in St. George, Utah over Halloween weekend.  They played in the 8u division and played tough, but, ended up not making it to the championship game.  Shay played really well, he hit well and in their final game made a hit that brought the winning run in!!  He also pitched 9 innings over the weekend and did the best that I have ever seen him do.  One game he pitched a no hitter, it was amazing!  He allowed in his 9 innings of pitching a total of 6 runs.  Good job Shay, we are so proud of you!  Keep up the hard work, it pays off!

After the tournament there was some time for fun!!  The boys went swimming and played and best of all went trick or treating!  Shay and most of the boys on his baseball team ended up being "dead" baseball players, it was too cute.  Zoie was spider woman and Mary and her friend Macee were Diva 1 and Diva 2.  They were all so dang cute!  It was such a fun weekend with such a great group of boys and their parents.

School Pumpkin Contest

"Legit"

Crazy football fan

Rainbow Fish

The kids all received a pumpkin from school and had the opportunity to decorate it and return it to their classes.  They were not allowed to cut the pumpkin, so they got creative!  Mary made a rapper named "Legit", Shay did a crazy football fan and Zoie did Rainbow Fish.  They had fun and they turned out darling.

Shay's Baptism

Our family, Mary and I both wore heels and were taller than the boys!!  Riley had to stand on his tippy toes!

What a good lookin' kid!  We love you, Shay Bear!
Before Shay's baptism day he and I went shopping and bought an new suit and tie and shoes.  He looks so grown up and IS growing up so fast!!  Sis. Boudreaux brought his baptism suit over, but, the child large didn't fit.  So, we went to the stake center and got a child extra large, but, that didn't fit either.  He ended up wearing and adult small.  Our big boy with a big heart and a big day ahead of him.  October 9, 2010 will always be a special day for Shay!  He made the decision to be baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  Riley and I are so proud of him and for the good boy that he is.  Shay, we want you to know that you have made a very iimportant decision in your life and as you stay close to our Heavenly Father and listen to the Holy Ghost you will be led on the path of righteousness and by staying on this path you will find great happiness in your life.  Always be a good example to those around you and know how much you are loved.  We love you so much and hope that continue to make good choices in your life!  Thank you to Grandma and Grandpa Day and Aunt Careesa for coming and showing support, we love you!

Marshall Gates Baseball Tournament October 2010

Shay played in his first baseball tournement with the Utah Marshalls.  They are an 8u team, but, they put them up in the 9u category.  They played hard and made it to the championship game!   They played the Utah Devils who had beat them 2 times earlier in the week, so, we knew it would be a tough game.  Shay was the starting pitcher and did such a great job!!!  He pitched all 4 innings of the championship game and held them to 7 runs.  Our team fielded and hit well and played together as a team so well!!  They ended up beating the Devils 21-7!  Good job, Utah Marshalls!!  And good job, to my Shay bear!  We are so proud of you and love watching you progress, keep up the good work!

Honolulu, Hawaii

On our return from Maui we had a day to spend in Honolulu.  It was much busier and more touristy.  We rented a car and drove along the north shore.  The waves were sooooo big, it was fun to watch the surfers.  They say that the north shore is where they hold surf competitions, so it was awesome to see!  We also drove to the LDS temple.  It is closed for remodeling, but, the grounds were beautiful and the temple was breathtaking.  I only wish that we could have had the opportunity to attend a session.  We did run into the temple president, Mark Eubanks(the old channel 5 new weather man).
On our way to the airport we stopped at the Dole pineapple plantation, it was very interesting, and the pineapple icecream was worth the trip!  Then we went to Waikiki Beach and it was just about sunset.  Beautiful!  It was very busy with people running, doing yoga, and watching the surfers.
It was such an awesome experience to go to Hawaii with my Riley.  We made some great memories and went to alot of really neat places.  I hope to go back and take my kids!  Thanks for a great trip, Babe!  Love you!

Hawaii!!

Riley had a work trip that FORCED us to have to go to Hawaii!!!  This was our first trip to Hawaii and it was absolutely amazing!!  We rented a car one day and went to Haleakala Crater, which is over 10,000 feet above sea level!  We were above the clouds, but, we were also freezing our buts off!  Then, within a 30 minute drive we were back to the sun and the ocean.  CRAZY, huh!  We drove part way on the road to Hana which was unique.  Along the way we passed beautiful scenery and stopped for lunch at a place called Mama's Fish House which was amazing, probably the best restraunt we ate at the whole time we were there.  We continued our drive and watched some kite surfing and wind surfing and then hiked to Twin Falls.  It was beautiful and tucked away, it was great to have sometime with Riley, too.  Then, the remaining of the days Riley was in work meetings and we would meet up for dinner at night.  So, needless to say, I spent alot of time on the beach and by the pool and did alot of relaxing.  The last day we were in Maui some of the other wives and myself took surf lessons!  That was one of the funnest things I did while I was there, it is quite a rush!
