Comcast, Drugs, Phone Calls

Our Internet was screwed up tonight. So here it was, 11:30 pm & Nate calls to see what is going on. We need a new router, so we know that. He seemed to get a pretty nice lady on the phone. She told him to hold, & this is how mine & his conversation went:

Him: I'm only doing this right now so You can have the Internet.

Me: Oh thank you so much. Do you want me to bow down.

Me: Are you tired?

Him: Very, but I'm not too high to realize it!.....uhmm, hello, no I was talking to my wife.

SOOOO, I'm pretty sure Comcast thinks I have a drug problem. It's called Mothers Little Helpers & an Ambien. Geez, I'm not Lindsey Lohan. Speaking of tired, I gotta call it a day at 12:10 in the am. I'm sure I'll fall when I get out of the chair. That's how us druggies do it! :)

Miss Makeup

Oh what fun it is to have a little girl! I think Iz may be taking after her mama. She likes makeup. Yippie! Today while everyone was finishing naps, she & I played around in the bathroom. Yes, I put a little makeup on her. And then she put some on. I know she's my daughter, but I think she is gorgeous!

Look at what Jonah did.

Thnake (Snake)

Jasper & Jonah have a little bit of a lisp. We work on saying "Snake" with our teeth pressed together and extremely exaggerated. It's not the most flattering face. Here's Jasper with his snake. See how his tongue is out?

Random pics from last week

The kids riding the "Horse"...(AKA, Nate). Too bad you couldn't see Jasper's face from Jonah's beautiful mane.

Let me let you in on a little secret

Just because a person has multiples doesn't necessarily mean they have had invitro fertilization. Case and point: My sister, Ashley, has twin boys who are 4...no fertility methods used whatsoever. Her method of getting pregnant----going off the pill & getting pregnant the night after (or the afternoon after :) she quit. She & Aaron are fertility Gods! Nate & I....emmm, not so much. We had to work hard and do lots of not so fun things, but when we had babies, we had babies! This brings me to a comment I heard tonight in Target. I saw a girl I graduated with...15 years ago! I think I remember her name, but I'm not sure. I passed her & this is how the conversation went:

Her: Well, Hi

Me: Oh, hi...how are you doing?

Her: Pretty good. You have kids?

Me: Yes, I have triplets..they are 2 1/2.

Her: TRIPLETS!?

Me: Yep

Her: So, you had to do invitro, then. (She says this very matter of fact & very loud!)

What I wanted to say was, "The last time I saw you was 15 years ago & I guess that means we are best friends & I want to tell you all about my personal business and how I had to go thru several cycles of invitro & a few failed attempts. My triplets were frozen, by the way...yep...just like a Popsicle."

Let me say this; it doesn't bother me to tell people I had to do IVF. If someone asks me nicely or seems genuinely interested, I'm all for telling them. My hope is to help anyone who struggles with getting pregnant. I want to let them know they aren't alone. I want to give them our story.

The problem I have is when total strangers will walk up to me in a store & say, "Are all them yours? Did you have to do them fertility treatments?" Sheesh! But the girl tonight just rubbed me the wrong way. It was like the 3rd sentence out of her mouth & she was just so sure I had to have invitro. There's nothing wrong with having invitro, people (unless you are the OctoMom :). But don't just go up to a perfect stranger & stab your way in to their personal affairs. You may get one who isn't as pleasant as I **fluttering my eyes**.

It turned ugly

I was goofing around with the camera today & setting the automatic timer to take pics of us. Jonah was all over my lap & I couldn't believe how much he wanted to sit there & say, "cheese!" So, I have a few of he & I. Then Jasper wanted to sit on my lap & take pictures. I told Jonah that it was Jasper's turn. Jonah didn't like it & basically tackled us to get on my lap. Hey! What can I say? I must be a pretty da$# good mama. You will see the bottom pics from when the attack happened. Warning: It's pretty violent, so please be prepared

Hmmmm?

I do the books for my brother's business. Every night for the last few weeks, I've been working non-stop after the kids go to bed. I'm trying to get everything ready for taxes. I wouldn't say that I procrastinated last year. I'll admit, I have 3 toddlers & when they go down for naps, either I go down for a little nap or I just veg out. And at night time, I just want to watch TV. But I'm definitely not gettin' in to this mess for next year's taxes. Sheesh! Anyway...as I was going thru receipts, there was one that caught my eye. So if I write this off on taxes, should I put "Cold Beer"?

The receipt is hard to read, but that is what it says!

The Smith's

Joanna & Carter came over a few days ago for some fun. We always have a good time. Carter is an only child (so far) and I tell you what, that boy has got to be scared when he comes here. It always starts off a little shaky because my kids are all up in his business. By the end of the visit, it's like peas & carrots! So check out these pictures below. Please note the long mirror with all the hand & finger prints! Yikes Stripes! That's out of control. Guess someone needs to get cleaning the mirror...Nate?

Isabel, Jonah, Jasper & Carter. Carter just turned 2 in Feb. & my trio will be 3 on July 1. Look at how big he is. Joanna thinks he may be a Giant!

Tub Fun

I started selling Avon & I ordered 3 bottles of paint soap stuff. Jasper & Iz love it! As you can see in the pictures, Jasper had green. By the way, if you want Avon, hit me up! A poor triplet mama needs some extra income. :)

A beautiful place

Nate's mamaw and papaw have a place with a beautiful creek running behind it. In the 10 years we have been married, I've only "went over the hill" and saw it a few times. There was also a small lake with a deck where Nate & his cousins use to swim. His papaw died not long after we were married. He was an adorable man. He reminded me of my Grandma Smith. They are southern and not afraid to tell you what is on their mind! Unfortunately, his mamaw died a couple of years ago. It was sudden and very sad. They left behind their beautiful place and its memories. The house is up for sale, but hasn't sold. Hopefully, I can take the kids to it this summer & let them make their own memories.

This was a spur of the moment thing, so I didn't have my regular camera. These were taken on my phone. The kids threw rocks with Grandma.

Nate and his dad checking things out.

Nate's dad climbing down the rocks to the creek. We were for sure he was going to take a tumble, but he didn't. Crap! That woulda been a great picture! Just kidding, Mark.

More outside fun at Ashley's!
