My New Hobby

Brody and his second cousin, Carmen. We had company Saturday and Sunday and had a good time.

Here are a few samples. I have already sold two and I have other orders. This is so fun..I could do it all day. The only bad thing is that I have to order online or go to Odessa if someone wants something in particular. Gives me a good reason to get out of town!

My Handsome Little Man

6 month check-up (at 7 months)

TODAY BRODY HAD HIS SIX MONTH CHECKUP. HE WEIGHS 17.8 LBS AND IS 26 1/2 INCHES LONG. THAT IS MIGHTY IMPRESSIVE GOING FROM 18 INCHES AND 3 LBS 15 OUNCES TO WHAT HE IS CURRENTLY. ALTHOUGH HE IS DEVELOPMENTALLY ALMOST TWO MONTHS BEHIND OTHERS HIS AGE, SHE SAID HE IS RIGHT WHERE HE SHOULD BE FOR A 7 MONTH OLD! KIDS SEEM TO HIT MILESTONES AT THEIR OWN PACE. HE IS ROLLING OVER PRETTY WELL FROM HIS BACK TO HIS STOMACH, BUT IS NOT GETTING BELLY TO BACK VERY WELL. IF LEFT IN A ROOM BY HIMSELF, HE YELLS SO SOMEONE WILL HEAR HIM, THEN HE LAUGHS WHEN YOU COME IN THE ROOM. HE IS BECOMING QUITE THE HAM, AS HE IS NO LONGER SITTING QUIETLEY IN CHURCH OR THE DOCTORS OFFICE. HE IS STARTING TO MAKE WAILING NOISES, JUMP UP AND DOWN MORE, AND IS A WIGGLE WORM. HIS LITTLE SMILE IS ADORABLE AND HE IS BEGINNING TO LAUGH WHEN PEOPLE SAY HI TO HIM. HE IS NO LONGER SLEEPING IN HIS BEDSIDE SLEEPER, BUT HAS GRADUATED TO HIS PLAYPEN, WHICH I HAVE NEXT TO MY BED. I DONT WANT HIM SLEEPING IN HIS OWN ROOM YET, BUT HIM BEING IN OUR ROOM REALLY ISNT A BIG DEAL BECAUSE HE IS SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT. AS LONG AS HE ISNT IN OUR BED IT WILL BE OKAY.

Last weekend Tim and I headed for Stephenville for a fun weekend. We originally went because there was a roping Tim wanted to go to, but there were many events going on in the "Cowboy Capital of the World." Friday night we stayed in Abilene, because we didn't feel like driving. I had already tried to get a motel in Stephenville and they were booked. While in Abilene, we just went to Chili's and hung out at the motel. Saturday morning we picked up the horse from the Expo Center and headed towards our destination, where we shopped for awhile. Later that night we went to the Larry Joe Taylor music festival. My friend Robyn was out there...we had a good time just visiting and watching people act stupid. At about 10, we left and headed for our motel. Sunday morning Tim roped and we hit the road....back to west texas.My mom had kept Brody so we met her in pyote that night.

Monday morning started with a Taks bootcamp, followed by the lovely Taks test. I am glad its over. Only one more month of school...that is of course...if we don't get shut down like some other schools in texas!!!
