ellies birthday card

this is ellies fourth birthday card. only remembered i had these flippen kids sheets after spending ages looking for an alternative idea as i wanted to use a digi image but my printer wont print despite having ink, and not being able to find my b plates to my cuttlebug. the dress to imp ress greeting was added after the perlen drops had dried overnight

my first time doing a easter bonnet, not how i originally planned it to be, but an impatient 3 year old and trying to cut out shapes with a cuttlebug that decided it didnt want to play ball did not mix.

ended up a mixture of mum, myself and ellie all having a play, and to top it all we all got a burn of the glue gun. after ellies initial just plonk it all in a pile she then wondered of and allowed us adults to race through placing and gluing it all together.

thanks to my youngest daughter hollie i have started to collect things to make earrings,
these are my very first pair made for hollie and as a result have been asked by a collegue to make the same style only in another colour plan. so we have been haunting e bay and a trip to the chariety shops, and a lovely new comer to the forum on trimcraft sent me some lovely bits from sweden, THANK YOU MIA
hoping to make a fair few pairs while we are of work and school for 2 weeks, just need to organise my time so i can get a few hours free in daylight hours to permit this

late night

didnt go to bed untill gone 3am, hopefully after a few days back at work it will tire me out enough to get to sleep at a sensible time. i managed to make two cards after my girls went to bed but i can only show one for now as i can,t let some of my followers know i made 1 as its a group competition. i can however show the other and here it is lol, this was made for a colour challenge over on cadc, pink/green and yellow. think i fullfilled that lol

blue christmas bear

over on my ebay group we do a challenge set regularly, this one was for a blue card,
i decided to do a blue bear as i was going through some old mags and found some free blue papers,  backing is dovecraft christmas paper, matting is the free blue paper, digi image coloured with promarkers.

ever had a project that just wont go to plan,
i decided to make a rocker card after finding a sheet i liked and tied in with  the trimcraft cupcake challenge.
this card was meant to be sooo easy to do. print, cut and assemble job done, what can so difficult about that.
well i printed cut and assembeled and stood the card up and what do i get, flop thats what. instead of standing and swaying from side to side it just flopped. so i dismantled what i could made it into a basic long card lol.
result

i will get to grips with the rocker style, will need to find my compass cutter and make the rocker out of stiffer card.

new technique, (well to me anyway)

i was bored and browsing the forums to see if anything caught my attention,
i had coloured my image in the colours for the challenge i was taking part in, pink and chocolate.
a post called cuttlebug quilting caught my attention, the rest is easy, i just had to try it but had to get some zzzzds first.
things didnt go arccording to plan very well, i was intending on doing a a4 in half size card, but my measuring and laying down went to pot, so had to chop the base to fit a smaller card.
cant say my colouring with promarkers is improving  but it looks worse when the pic is scanned
the image is a from fairy dust crafts,
another card for my sample box which my girls use for their freinds, hopefully next attempt will work out properly lol
challenge was set by craftysandra over on trimcraft,
does anyone remember caramac, when i saw the lighter brown card in my box it sooo reminded me of that, i loved it as a child, so i just had to use some lol

two cards lol

first card is a mo manning image, coloured with  promarkers, it was left in my card box for a few days as i didnt really know what else to do with it, a subject on trimcraft came up on how to use flowers, im a big fan of flowers but have no arrangement skills despite looking at loads of other peoples projects and being sooo jealous its untrue, so going on the easy route i opted for the three in a corner option, gems added after the pic was taken .
i have now decided that all cards unless made for a specific challenge as in say thanks and such will be left with noo greeting untill i know who and for what purpose it will be given lol

the second card is was for kims challenge on trimcraft, theme was a stamped image,

the stamp i used is a crafty pad stamp called belinda shopping,

again coloured with promarkers some touches with a clear glitter pen and the bags have been embossed to give a shiny look using a watermark pen and clear gloss embossing powder.

out came the flowers again, this time cream ones sprayed with purple violet cosmic shimmer mist,

how could i forget that stuff stains your skin, went into work with blue tipped fingers as i firstly prayed my mat and dipped the flowers into it but i wasnt happy with the effect, so i used my brain and actually sprayed the flowers instead. i love how each one has come out different shades.

both cards have been backed with a paper from a dcwv pad but i cant remember what it was called,
my son reckons the backing is old fashioned, what do you think lol
he said for once i have created lovely cards apart from the backing.
well im off to have a play with my alcahol inks or maybe my cuttlebug cant decide just yet,

we all know that men are not big on recieving those slushy valentine cards,
a few collegues ask me to make some last year but apart from a few specific requested i never got round to doing some
