Me & The Other Woman

Many of you already know about Dals "Other Woman" and how I feel about her. Well today I have a new appreciation for her. Oh the POWER she has..............................many of you will not believe this story, I did take pictures and I know that doesn't prove anything but normally people can't even get close enough to have their picture taken with her so believe me or don't.

What am I talking about you might be wondering.

I got to DRIVE the STANG today!!!!!

Oh, turning that key and feeling the engine begin to rumble. The loud roaring sound it makes and then the car begins to shake from the vibrations. As I feel myself grinning from ear to ear enjoying the anticipation, I look over at Dallas in the passenger seat and see fear and terror in his eyes. Oh yeah.... he is ready, it is time to put this baby in reverse. So I back out of the driveway onto the street. I did have a problem with the steering, this car doesn't have power steering. But it was so worth seeing Dallas jump out of his seat and let out a little grumble. We are now on the road and I ask him if he is ready as I put my foot on the gas. I think he might have grabbed onto something but I can't be sure. I didn't gun it as much as I would have liked but I did accelerate enough to feel how much power this car is capable of, oh the beauty of it. I only got to drive it around the neighborhood but that was enough for me to know I LIKED IT. He might want to hide the keys from me because I can't make any promises. There is nothing like the old classic muscle cars. I can see now why he loves it so much. I am not saying I am not going to tease him about it anymore but I might let up a little or not if he doesn't ever let me drive it again. Many of you think I am the control freak but Dallas does have his paticulars.
This picture is as I was getting into the car.

Cruising on the open road.

Here is a shot of my hand on the steering wheel.
The look on Dals face as we are cruising.

Dallas and I together (in the car)

After the ride.

After 10 years it was worth the wait.
But, I am not going to wait another 10 years to drive it again.

The Good Thing about using family as the photographer

I mentioned earlier that my cousin Sherry took our family photos the other day. I got the disk of pictures from her last night, they turned out Awesome. I just noticed one little thing...............this is what you get when you use a Family Member as your photographer. I told her I wanted casual and natural. Little did I know she would do Exactly what I asked her for. Maybe next time I will say..........Not so natural. She really captured the true Dal and Val.

This is how it went.

Once upon a time...

Dal and Val were taking a nice stroll across the bridge.

They gazingly look into each others eyes.

.

But then.......

Out of the corner of her eye, Val notices he is wearing his Baseball Hat!

"Your wearing your hat!?!" Val asks in her politest tone. ;)

"What?!?" Dal replies confused.

"Give me that hat!" again using her politest tone.

"Ok, get back I will take it off myself" Dal argues.

"No! Give me the dang hat" Val says still trying to use her politest tone.

Now the hat is gone and Sherry says "Okay, I'm ready........ smile at each other".

So lovingly Dal and Val stroll across the bridge and gaze into each others eyes thinking the camera has just started. Little do they know Sherry has caught them at their finest.

Val has realized maybe some anger management classes would be beneficial.

I Love These Boys!

What Mother wouldn't love this?

New Family Photos

We just had our family pictures taken last Saturday. My cousin "SuperStar Sherry" took them for us. She says she is an amateur. I say "Whatever". I think they turned out great, but what do you expect with what she had to work with. :)
If anyone needs any pictures done, give me a call and I will hook you up with the "SuperStar".

Thanks Sherry!

G&G's Halloween Party

A few years ago my Mom had a Halloween Party for the kids. Now, every year they ask her if she is having her Halloween Party. I don't think she is getting out of this one for a few years. She always comes up with some really fun games. This year they played the Limbo, Spooky Musical Chairs and a Relay Race with Candy Corns. The relay race looked like so much fun us adults split into Boys against Girls and played it too. Of course the Girls one even after the Guys cheated!
My Dad made some Awesome Chili, it was one of my Grandma's old recipes. It was sooooo yummy. We also had Mummy Dogs, Eyeballs and Fingers. What more could you ask for? Lots of fun!

Happy Halloween!!!

Well, our kids are 15 and almost 12 so I thought we were pretty much done with the whole "dress up" thing but no............they BOTH wanted to dress up this year. They had some pretty good ideas so you know me ......"Oh, I'm sure I can MAKE that".

Hehehe ..... give me a glue gun and stand back.

I had a lot of fun making their costumes this year and when Halloween morning came I was wishing I had made a costume for myself to dress up. I love seeing all the adults that dress up and really get into Halloween. Ah, maybe next year.
