Pageant Season

Many of you know that I have a passion for pageants.
Yes, I am one of those nerds who takes notes at every pageant whether it's on television or at a live local or state pageant.

Miss Indiana was crowned Miss America on Saturday night. I think she's adorable and I was definitely rooting for her the entire pageant.
I am excited to volunteer with the Miss Falls Valley/Southeastern Idaho pageant here in Idaho and will be the backstage manager for that pageant this year.
With all the pageant season excitement I've been feeling, I have decided to compete in the Mrs. Idaho International Pageant on March 21st!
I have started a new blog which is currently under construction: mrsrexburg2009.blogspot.com.
I am also listed as a contestant on the www.mrsidaho.com website.
Wish me luck for my competition! If anyone would like to come to the Boise area to watch me compete, I would love some more fans!

Congratulatings Cam & Jess, We Are So Proud of You!

Last weekend we went to Utah to witness Tyler's cousin Cameron and his wife Jessica being sealed in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity.
Cameron's mission president and current elder of the quorm of the seventy (Elder Sabrowski) performed the sealing. During the sealing Jessica started to cry which seemed normal since being sealed in the temple is a really spiritual and special thing but she told us later that the reason for the tears is that she is five months pregnant and her baby isn't that active but during the sealing he kept kicking her like crazy. It was a definite indicator that her unborn baby knew that his mom and dad were making the right decision. I of course started tearing up when she told that story! How amazing the Spirit is!

After the sealing we spent some time with the Lyman family, a lot of whom Tyler hadn't seen since before his mission. They are such a fun family and now we want to get together with them every time we go down to Utah!

Cam, Jess, Tyler and I played a game of Settlers of Khutan. I took the bottom picture of Tyler and Cameron at Nycole and Bryce's house holding their dog Shadow.
The picture reminds me of a story...

When Tyler and Cameron were little boys they were playing together and began talking about what they wanted to be when they grew up.
Cameron said, "I want to be a rock star!"
Tyler replied, "I just want to be a regular guy...like my dad. With a truck and a dog in the back."
Well, Cameron's not a rock star but Tyler is a regular guy with a truck. No dog though! Unfortunately for him I am terrified of dogs!

Flower Power!

Look what I've made in my flower arranging class! Even though I'm the slowest student it's definitely my favorite class!

Gummy Vitamins

I feel really bad for not doing a birthday post for Tyler, he turned 25 on November 8th and though I neglected to give him a birthday post, I really do love him!
Tyler feels really uncomfortable being the center of attention but I wanted to tell you the cutest story about him...
In Ty's Christmas stocking one of the many items I put inside were gummy vitamins. I want to live a long life with Tyler and therefore I want him to be healthy but I could never get him to take vitamins until I got him the gummies. Since that time he has announced that his favorite time of day is taking his gummies because though he can only take four (2 Zinc/Echinacea, 2 multi) he always wishes he could eat ten! Recently I saw him next to his gummies and asked what he was thinking about. He worried what was going to happen when he ran out of the gummies he loved so much since I bought them at Trader Joe's and we don't have a Trader Joe's in Idaho! I explained to him that you can get gummy vitamins at Wal-Mart and told him that they even have some gummy vitamins that are sugar coated and probably taste like Sour Patch Kids, they are calcium and vitamin D so he could add those to his Zinc/Echinacea and multi. He got SO excited and replied, "You mean instead of taking four vitamins I could take six?!"
So, there you have it, my boy is 25 and still adorable!
