Golfwear Project Winner!

One of my classes has been a semester long group project of designing golfwear for the mature (55+ age) woman consumer. It was funded by Cotton Inc. and took A LOT of time and effort. My group's outfit is the purple shirt and white skirt with a visor(which I made from scratch- fyi, don't ever make a hat, it is really difficult!) We also have a second outfit that has different colors. I just found out that my group won! Specifically it was the "Best Design and Marketability", which also included a cash prize :) Tyson and I still have some finals and projects left but we are almost finished. Ahhhh! We both graduate on May 16th and we are very excited!

We Suck @ Blogging

WE TRULY DO SUCK AT BLOGGING. ITS BEEN SO LONG SINCE WE'VE LAST POSTED THAT I AM SURE THAT NOBODY EVEN FOLLOWS OUR BLOG ANY MORE. IF SO, MARCIE AND I ARE STILL AT THE U OF I IN MOSCOW. WE ARE JUST GETTING STARTED WITH OUR LAST SEMESTER AND ARE ALREADY TIRED OF THE SEMESTER AND PLANNING ON GRADUATION. MOST OF ALL WE ARE EXCITED TO MOVE ON TO ANOTHER PLACE. EXPERIENCING SOMETHING NEW IS ALWAYS FUN. I HAVE APPLIED TO SEVERAL GRAD PROGRAMS FOR POLITICAL SCIENCE, AND HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED TO ONE OF THEM. WE WON'T HEAR FROM THE OTHERS FOR ANOTHER MONTH OR SO. MARCIE IS JUST EXCITED TO BE FINISHED WITH SCHOOL. SO YEA, LIFE IS PEACHY AS PEACHY CAN BE. MAYBE YOU WILL SEE SOME PICTURES POSTED OR HEAR FROM US AT A LATTER TIME.

Summer at the Movies

Its been a while, but Marcie and I are doing great. We have really been enjoying our summer. If you were wondering how we have been passing the time this summer check out the movie posters. Yes, we love going to the movies and these are a few of our favorites from the summer. You might be asking yourselves why we enjoy going to the movies so much? We just really like the popcorn....actually we just enjoy relaxing at the theatre while being together. It's a hoot, pretty much. We also have no form of television at home, no not even the basic channels, so boredom sets in on the weekends. Overall, we are just a bit movie crazy in the summer time. Any how, we are doing quite amazing and look forward to the rest of our summer vacationing. We still get to travel a bit more to see our families. We will try to post some of our summertime pictures later. Hope everyone is doing great. Bye. Bye.

Our Father's Day with the Meredith Family

We went down to Boise to visit all of our family. On Father's Day we spent time with all of Tyson's family. We played wiffle ball and found out that we are way out of shape and were sore the next day! I had to massage Tyson's back with my heel. Ha! Tyson was in heaven because his sisters made his favorite food-Turkey Chow Mein. And we got to see all of the cutey little nieces and nephews, and the future ones too!(in Mandy's belly-hehe) Well it was a bunch of fun and here's some pictures of the kids.

Our Summer Road Trip

Marcie and I recently returned home from an amazing road trip. We spend an entire week full of fun and driving. We traveled all across the Northwest. You can follow our adventure on the map below, just follow the alphabet.
We started our journey Friday the 23rd of May by driving TEN hours to Raymond/Sterling in Alberta. After driving through northern Idaho and Montana we had the excitement of waiting to cross the border for an hour and a half. It was a hoot. The next mourning we had the opportunity to travel a short 45 min. to the Cardston Temple for Zack’s, Marcie’s Cousin, wedding. It was amazing. I forgot to mention, it was pouring buckets both to and from Canada, and also while we were there. However, it was worth the trip because we got to spend the entire day Saturday with Marcie's relatives. We really enjoy making the trip to Canada and love spending time with everyone there every time we get the chance. It’s a hoot. This trip was however quite short. We woke up Sunday mourning and made the trip back to Moscow for a night’s rest before hitting the road again. Monday mourning we woke up and went to breakfast with Beth and Chance, our good friends. This was our last chance to see them before they moved away to some other place, LAME. We will miss them a ton though. After saying our good-byes Marcie and I head off to Seattle. We checked in to a really cool hotel and about 4:00 p.m. in Tacoma, WA. After a short breather we headed off for one of my favorite parts of the trip, a baseball game between the Seattle Mariners and the Boston Red Sox. It was the greatest. We got to see Ichiro make the most amazing catch and even better, the Red Sox won. We both had the greatest time. The next day, Tuesday, we traveled to Portland to stay at Mark and Michelle’s house (Marcie's uncle and aunt). It was a great time. We spent Tuesday and Wednesday looking at perspective law schools in Portland, Salem and Eugene. We will be applying for schools in the fall and really are grateful for the opportunity to see have seen a few possible choices. Hopefully it will help us later when we have to start making decisions. We really enjoyed the city Salem and the Law School at Willamette University. Thursday we began our trip home and made a few stops along the may. One stop being Marcie's favorite. We visited the Maryhill Museum of Art where Marcie got the chance to see a collection of miniature figurines dressed in the fashions form post World War II. She had learned about the Theatre De Le Mode in a fashion design course last semester and was thrilled to see them in Public. After that we arrived in Moscow where we decided we needed a vacation from driving. Overall we had an amazing road trip. Here are just a view of the pictures we took along the way

School is out and summer has just hit us in Moscow. We started our "summer movie craze" with the 2nd Narnia and loved it! The weather went from 68 degrees to 88 degrees overnight. Pretty crazy hot. Marcie and I are excited to be staying the summer here and look forward to getting to know northern Idaho a bit better. We hope to do a little hiking and sight seeing. Moscow is supposedly just minutes away from some great outdoor recreation. This should give us plenty of opportunities to practice our photography skills. In other words Marcie will have to put up with trying to teach me all she learned this last semester in her photography class. It shoot be a hoot!

Marcie and I are just getting ready to wrap up another year of excitement and learning. We have both had a great semester, but I must say Marcie's classes were much more interesting. Just look at the photo and you can tell. This was just one of the fun projects form her theater make-up course. She also was in a costume design course, which she loved. She did so well that she was recently asked by her professor to be the Assisstant Designer for the universities big production in the fall. Pretty amazing! This is excellent news and we are both very excited for next semester. However, we are even more excited for summer!
