Home Decorating Projects

I LOVE decorating! Its addictive and poor Tyson can't hear the end of it. He once asked if everything is how you want it in the house, will you just get into seasonal decorations? I laughed. That is the goal. Have everything decorated how I want and then put up cutesy seasonal decor. Will I ever get there? Will I ever be content with how it is? Probably not. :)

Here are the home decorating projects we have done this past year. This year, we plan to do landscaping and hopefully buy half of the lot next door to expand our outdoor space! :)

Wall Display in Fireplace Room

I hung these frames up all by myself! I was so proud and was very excited to surprise Tyson. Tyson helps me out with everything, but hanging up pictures is torture for him. He was SO HAPPY that this wall project was done!

BEFORE: Man Cave/College Dorm Feel...ugh

AFTER: Cute, Bright, Girly...thank goodness!

Wall Display above sectional Couch

This was so fun to paint and put together. My neighbor sells these frames for a business. He has the cutest stuff! The mirror was once my moms. It used to be a dark brown wood frame. A little paint and a new mirror made it the perfect fit! And who doesn't LOVE birdcages? I found this at Kohls and fell in love.

Computer Desk Outside
Tyson built this. I painted it. That seems to be the compromise. :) This was a beast to paint. I was happy to have it done!

Computer Desk Inside

The Chevron material is velcro'd to the desk. Behind it holds the tower, cords, and other computer items.

Sofa End Table

Tyson built, I painted it. This was the first piece of furniture Tyson built. When we bought this sectional couch, we realized we needed a table for it so the kids wouldn't be tempted to climb up the back and ruin the couch material.

Coffee Table

Tyson built, I painted it and added the "W" Stencil. This has been great to store library books on the 2nd tier that we get for the kids and drinks and popcorn on the top for movies.

Media Console and Bookcases

Tyson built, I painted it. The back of the bookcases are painted blue. The material is bead board. We still have to build, paint and install the cupboards and drawers for the console. There will be 3 drawers in the middle and two cupboards on each outside. We finished the console in the Fall of  2013 and got burnt out! Then it got cold so we quit for the winter. Finally in February, we had family help us move the console downstairs to our unfinished portion of the house. We then painted it and set it up. Now we will finish the cupboards and drawers and I will post pictures again!  :)

I fell IN LOVE with this clock a long time ago. When it finally went on sale, Ty let me buy it. What a good man! :) The blue frames on the sides will eventually have close pins that hold pictures and quotes.

Another view: The entrance.

It took FOREVER to convince Tyson to replace the lights with a bright modern fixture. This light is normally a pendant light, but because this is a basement, Tyson shortened it and made it higher. I LOVE THESE LIGHTS!

 Welcome to the Williams' Residence
September-October...

Vincent started preschool in September. He goes Tuesdays and Thursdays
every week with 3 boys his age. Each of us mom's take turns teaching. It is fun but exhausting!

Showing off his Spider man back pack.

Spider man for Halloween! Vincent was so in character that when we trick or treated he
"wound up" the neighbors with his web when they opened the door. I've never seen a kid
so obsessed with anything. Vincent plays Spider man day and night!

"Our little Pumpkin" celebrated his 1st birthday Oct. 18. We had a little family
Halloween party at my mom's house. Everyone dressed up. Vincent requested
that Titus be the Hulk for Halloween.

Our Hulk baby! We stuffed him so his chest stuck out. It was so funny!
Tyson was the Green Lantern.

I was the Damsel in distress...of course not just any damsel, but a princess :)
At the U-Pick Red Barn Pumpkin Patch. Vinny would not climb down
this stack of hay until I told him I found what had a tiny bit of
resemblance to a Spider man pumpkin.

They had a cute train that kids could ride in (for a few bucks of course)
It went around the pumpkin patch.

Vincent LOVES cats! He is very gentle with them now,
unlike before at his Uncle Wes and Aunt Crystal's house.

All the pictures I had of Titus was him crying or looking miserable,
so Vinny is the spotlight.

Busy Busy Busy!

Two kids is a new world of busy! Here is what goes at the Williams' House...

Sarah:
Teaching 14 piano students starting in September.
Primary Chorister and Ward Pianist.
Starting an all boys preschool for Vincent with 3 other ladies in the ward.

Tyson:
1st Counselor in the Sunday School Presidency
Projects, Projects, Projects! Tyson has built 2 bookshelves, 1 sofa end table and a computer desk (which is in the stages of being painted). He also takes care of the yard and works hard at his 12 hour job.

Vincent:
Turned 3 July 8
Starts Preschool in September
Idolizes Spider man
Bullies Titus :(
Gives Loves to Titus a little too much... :)
Counts to 20 (gets lots of experience in time out)
Going into Primary in January (which is hard to believe!)

Titus
10 months old August 18
Crawls everywhere
Stands and walks if there is support to hold onto
Has so much hair!
More accident prone and adventurous in his exploring than Vinny ever was
Has understood how to cry when Vinny gets close to him, even when Vinny did nothing. (Ty tells me that he did that a lot growing up)

My babies are going up. :( I will probably cry when Vinny goes to kindergarten.

Enjoy our pictures this summer! :)

What handsome boys I have!

When Vinny saw the playground he went straight down the hill and starting going down the slide

Ty sled down the hill and somehow did a 180 turn and flip and hit the ice. Ouch! He is showing off his battle scar.
It feels good that Ty will still show off for me. :)

This time, Ty decided to go on his back instead of his knees
He went so fast he sled right down to the playground and almost took out the pole!

When we first got to Sugar Hill, we went halfway up and put Vinny on the sled by himself. Ty pushed him down and I was there to catch him.  Not such a good idea. We scared him, poor darling. He didn't want anything to do with sledding! After a while Ty carried Vinny  up the hill and went down with him. He loved it! We each took turns with him.
