1st Grade - 2009

Here is Madison's School Picture. Such a cutie! I was picturing the goofy smile we have been getting at home.....I am glad that photographer could get a smile out of her. And I love how it shows the missing tooth too!

A Ladybug, Batman and an super scary Orange Witch

Halloween came early at our house, not by choice the city thinks they need to do Trick -or-Treating the Thursday before Halloween.
Oh well what can we do.
Anyway we put Mckenzie in her costume, took a picture and then took it off. She got to stay home, thanks to her stay at the hospital this week. At least she will not remember and we have pictures to prove she had a costume
The kids had a lot of fun and got WAY TOO MUCH CANDY! Anyone want any I will send it your way!

This is really the goofy Age!

Out of all the pictures I took of the 3 of them, these are my favorites, maybe because these two pictures descibe the personalities of my kids.

A Love/Hate Relationship

Oh leaves you are so beautiful your changing colors, the different shapes and sizes.
The noise you make against the sidewalk in the breeze.
The giggles and grins of the neighborhood children building a pile and then jumping in.
The beautiful pictures that you produce.
The change in seasons and temperature you bring about.

Oh but leaves how I come to really really dislike you when every time I open the door the leaves come flying in.
How a 6 month old can find you no matter how many times I pick up your partners in crime.
When it rains you stick to everything and when you come in the house wet I don't stand a chance.
Then I remember the real reason the raking and raking and raking that you produce.
And when we get you all raked up, the wind will inevitably blow and all the neighbors leaves will come billowing in!

Annual Pumpkin Trip

We took our annual trip to Fulton Farms to pick out a pumpkin. You will get to see all the pumpkins we picked after we carve them. We had a good time and the waether actually cooperated and the sun came out for a little bit. I am not sure why Madison has such a strange face but with three kids I don't think we will ever get a really good picture....nope probably not. Still it was fun and we got to spend some time together.

It's Official

It came in the mail today, a white and uneventful envelope arriving on our doorsteps. Uneventful until Dave opened the envelope to find his official degree, signifying the end of a period in our lives, Dave could hold that document size piece of paper in his hands and bask in the glow of graduating again, this time with his MBA. All the while his wife standing by taking pictures and secretly thinking that was the longest 18 months ever!
We hope for opportunities in the future to further his career and me and the kids we will stand by him all the way cause we love him!

Such the little teacher

At school Madison's class sings this little song every morning and this afternoon she came home and was teaching her brother the song. Love it and love the message it sends.

I'm something special
So very special
Every little part of me

I'm such a miracle
Oh such a miracle
Every little part of me

I'm something special
So very special
There's nobody quite like me.

And she is awfully cute singing it.

6 Month Stats

Here are Mckenzie's 6 month stats.

Weight 15 pounds 8 ounces
Height 26.5 inches
Head 44 centimeters

She didn't get any shot tonight we get to do those one at a time, we are suppose to go in the morning for the first one but that is up for debate. Apparently I cannot transport my own daughters vaccinations a whole 2 miles. Give me a break people!

We shall see what happens.

When did this happen?

When did my little baby get so big! Mckenzie is 6 months old today...I can harldy believe how fast the time has past by.
Her official stats will be next week when she goes to the Dr.
Right now she is....
Loving sticking her tongue out.....alot!
Drooling everywhere...but no teeth or sign of teeth
sitting up
army crawling...so close to crawling she gets on her knees and tries so hard.
eating baby food.....so far - carrots, sweet potatoes, green beans and peas.
We tried to feed her rice cereal for 3 1/2 weeks and she would just spit it out. I really think she didn't like it she went right for the real stuff. We have been able to feed her a little oatmeal.
She is a mommas girl!
I wish her hair would grow, it is getting lighter and has a little hint of red, wonder what the next few months will bring.
She tries to talk to us....so cute!
She is a joy to be around and we love her.
