Landon is 4!!

Our big boy turned 4 years old last month!  Landon is a pretty awesome kid, and it just keeps getting better and better watching him grow into a little boy.  He has such a distinctive personality.....so curious, analytical, a little smart mouthed (like his momma,) definitely has a certain routine for everything (like his daddy,) and has the biggest heart you will ever find in a young boy.  He's got an imagination like no other, and he just has to know the answer to everything, He's an awesome singer, a big helper, and a little bit of a bossy pants when it comes to Owen.  He's so intelligent without even trying to be, everything just comes so easy to him.  He's sensitive and wears his heart on his sleeve, yet he's also very tough and doesn't mind standing up for himself or his brother.  He's obsessed with all things Star Wars, Superheroes, Power Rangers or Ninja Turtles...all boy!! He loves books, and he loves watching movies with popcorn in our movie room. When he's excited about something, he has the most beautiful shine in his handsome blue eyes and his smile fills his whole face.  He's pretty amazing, and we love him.

On his birthday, we had our birthday monkey bread, went for his checkup at the doctor, and since the weather on his birthday was extraordinary for a December day,  we went to the park and had a picnic and played.  That evening, our whole family went to the movies and saw Frozen, and we all loved it!  It was Owen's first time at the movie theater, and he made it through the whole movie.

We had his party the Saturday before at Jump Mania again and had the whole place to ourselves.  Landon had so many friends and family there to celebrate with him.  It was perfect!  He had a Ninja turtle party, of course!

Halloween 2013

We had a fun filled evening this year! We started off with a pre-trick or treating pizza party at our friends, Addison and Noah's house, where we got to see a lot of our friends that live a few streets over!

Then we went back to our house, where we met my mom and some of our other friends, Alyssa, Kevin, Princess Natalie, Nick and Gabriel, that came to trick or treat with us! The boys had a blast trick or treating. They know everyone on our street and everyone knows the Walton boys! ;). They definitely got loads of candy from our awesome neighbors.

After we trick or treated, we hosted a block party in our driveway where we roasted marshmallows for s'mores, played games, got costume awards and the adults mixed and mingled. It was a blast. We really have an amazing group of people on our street and it's so much fun getting together with them!
Owen and his buddy Scooby, (Drake) (And yes, my boys had costume changes before the after party...their idea lol)

Thanksgiving 2013

Beside not being able to spend Thanksgiving Day with Brandon this year since he was on call, we had a great day with my family at my sister's house. Tons of food, lots of laughs and a good game of 31 for the adults while the kids entertained themselves upstairs...what more could you ask for! ;)

Landon's Thanksgiving Feast

We had such a fun time going to Landon's school yesterday and eating hisThanksgiving  Feast with him and his classmates. Luckily Brandon's office is very close and he was able to meet us there.

All the parents were seated at the tables where the kids had decorated the area for their family. There was a cute placemat with a turkey made from Landon's habdprint, a cute turkey recipe that Landon came up with and pilgrim centerpieces. Then the kids came out with their turkey hats on and sang a little turkey song and prayed. Owen couldn't stop yelling, "hi, bubba!!" And Landon couldn't resist yelling hi back to him! Precious.

Then we feasted and talked with friends! Landon's thankful turkey said that he was thankful for mommy, daddy, Lainey (girl in class) and his two doggies.

Sci-tech discovery center

We met some friends at sci tech discovery center in Frisco last week and had a blast! The kids has so much fun with all the hands on stuff they had available to play with and explore. The air show was awesome and kept Landon and Owen's attention the whole time.  They even had a thanksgiving themed storytime and craft and provided a little snack as well. It's so awesome that this place is pretty close to home too! We will definitely plan another visit here soon.

Landon was so funny because he's going through a phase where he thinks his shirts need to be tucked in! Not sure where this came from, but he insists on it and this day was no different. And Owen wouldn't take his hood off the whole time we were there! These particular little guys...

Landon's Costume Parade

Landon dressed as Buzz Lightyear for his school costume parade and it was so precious. It was serious business for him until he saw us in the crowd and couldn't contain his smiles! So cute!

Owen's 2nd Birthday

We had a huge bash for Owens 2nd birthday at a beautiful park near us. Although it was super windy, we had so many friends and family cone out to celebrate our rascal with fun park play, pizza and delicious cake!

Of course it was Mickey Mouse themed because that's what Owen loves best.  He loved being sang to and especially loved opening all his gifts, and he didn't even seem to mind that all the other kids helped him open them up!

On his actual birthday, he picked out the cake that he wanted me to make him (lemon cake with aqua blue icing and lots of sprinkles!) and we had some birthday monkey bread for breakfast too!

It was a great birthday celebration and we're so blessed to have our little Owen and blessed to have the friends and family that made his day special! :)
