Anxiety is getting the better of me. I need to get up and be productive. What has happened to me? I used to be productive and get a lot done, and now I am disorganized and a mess.

How Much More....I can't take it anymore
When it rains, it really pours. It really did rain a lot this week. I know we need it, but I just hate driving in it. My sister Bonnie just tested all of the family to let us know Mom and Dad are sick with the stomach bug. It really breaks my heart. How much more will they be given? It's gotta be hard having to throw up and have diarrhea when you are Dad with a sprained ankle and Mom who can't get to the bathroom without assistance. I wish they would get a break, but Heavenly Father seems to think they still need more trials. I just want to cry. I hurt so bad for them.
I stayed up really late last night with my roommate Norma Ruina Smith watching Heartland on BYUtv and then a movie called "23 Blast" about a boy who went blind in high school and was a good football player. He is real, and he is a preacher now. I worry about her too. She has been struggling with health issues, and she is a year older than my mom. She turned 75 this summer, and Mom will turn 74 in December, and Dad 73 in November.
I still am not quite where I want to be with health, so I cancelled my temple session again. My family name expires Monday, so I will lose it. Oh well. I have struggled lately. I have been dealing with some hardcore anxiety, but I am not telling my family. We already have enough drama going on. My oldest sister, Lisa Heap Smith, ended up in the ER and had her appendix removed. Then Cassie Heap Passenelli's oldest boy, Charlie Passenelli, had surgery yesterday on his sinus since he can't taste or smell. Hopefully now he can. They won't know for a while how well it worked. Dad continues to have a black-and-blue sprained ankle. It is healing a lot slower since he has to care for Mom. Mom sleeps a lot and is in pain from neuropathy from getting her blood sugars down too fast after being diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. She continues to use a catheter since she can't pee on her own. She will see a neurologist on Nov 9 to hopefully start addressing the issue. The home health physical therapist comes once a week, and Mom hates to exercise. I hope she will try. I really do want her to walk again without having to use a walker. Hopefully we hear this coming Monday about the MRIs she had of her neck and spine this past Tuesday. I am massively stressed, fearing it could be terminal cancer. I am hoping for a pinched nerve that could be fixed. However, Heavenly Father does not work that way, and I know he is going to take my mom. Life has truly been more depressing this year. Dad is probably not far behind. I honestly did not see this one coming. I thought I would have my parents a little longer. We were supposed to be translated and go and help others as the world falls apart before the second coming. Guess not. I am lacking a lot a faith and it is getting worse each day.

I really have been meaning to get back on and write, but with Mom's declining health and work stress and life stress I have not gotten on. I never thought I'd see mom go downhill so fast. I miss being able to talk with my mom. She doesn't remember much these days. She is so weak. She is in a wheelchair now, and it makes me cry. She is homebound too.

I have to forgotten to write. I have been crying a lot. Live has taken a nose dive as I hav watched my mom go downhill fast. I am afraid I will lose her. I never thought this would happen. I rely on her so much. I haven’t been able to talk to her in awhile on the phone. I hate this. I keep praying for a miracle. I keep hoping the MRI will come back and say she just needs a steroids shot in her back. But am I that lucky? Probably not.

Mom is doing so amazingly well. Her blood sugar has been in the normal range a lot more. She is looking better and feeling better. She is walking a little more, and I hope she will get stronger soon. It is good to see her improving. She says Heavenly Father has healed her pancreas, and that is incredible.

Mom is so depressed. The will to live is gone. I miss her smile. She helped me with dinner last tonight. That was a first in a long time. I wish she would try. I know this is a hard trial. I don’t like trials but they help us. If I could I would gladly take her diabetes so she would be happy again. I’d gladly take my dad’s and Aunt Carolee Curtis’s rheumatoid arthritis. I can deal with pain. If it would make them happy again I would. I hope the doctor appointment this week goes well. I hope it isn’t diabetes.

It's depressing how sad it is now at home. There is no excitement, and everyone is sad. I try so hard to remain positive, but Mom and Dad are both sad. I wish I could make things better for them. I wish Heavenly Father would transfer the RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) and my mom's diabetes to me. Maybe then they would be happy. I would keep it a secret if Heavenly Father did that for me and never let them know. But we are all given trials for a reason, and who am I to deprive others of their growing experiences? We need the hard times so we turn to the Lord and trust in him. I just hate seeing them suffer. I would suffer for them in a heartbeat.
It rained today. Dad was happy. We got 6/10 of an inch. It was nice. I wish it would rain every day so Dad would be happier. I wish my mom would get better so she would be happy. It's been a rough summer. I hate seeing my parents not happy. They deserve so much more, and yet they seem to get the raw end of the deal.

It was another hard day with a lot of crying.
Aunt Carolee and I watched a murder mystery today while my mom took a nap. I was about to break out in tears. Didn’t want to in front of my dad. I had to be strong for him. I hurt for my aunt too. It’s like she’s lost my mom. They haven’t hardly even spoken. I think her time here was to help me more than my mom. I needed someone to talk to and since mom is not available at this point she was it. She was literally second mom. I love her to pieces. She is going back early. I found that out at dinner and just about lost it. I was trying my hardest to not cry my eyes out. I choked on my food at one point. Mom, Aunt Carolee and I got Salmon and Dad got the Cod dinner. It was okay. I didn’t get me french dip like I always do. I known mom misses food and I gave up my favorite for my mom.

I really am lacking faith. Mom is a little better but I wish she didn’t spend all her time coloring on her phone or sleeping. I really miss my mom. She went up to Monticello Utah today and brought back her twin sister. They didn’t talk much. I asked my aunt. I honestly don’t think I am getting her back.
I was trying to get dinner all made before they got back. I had a million pieces to go with taco salad. Mom kept coming over and being like a little kid picking in the taco meat and sliced olives.
She didn’t say much to her sister. Those two use to be really close. I hope my aunt enjoys being here and away from the fire that is just outside of Monticello.
Today really wore me out moving out of my room so my aunt could stay in it. She has RA just like my dad. Her Rheumatoid Arthritis is worse than my dad’s. Stairs are hard for her.
I wished what mom aways said would come true. She said we were all part of this project she had been working on and we are going to be healed soon. I’d like to know what healed actually means. We will all be healed in the next life. So has mom just wasted her life sitting in her recliner coloring all day, everyday?
I just wish it could be true. But I have too much unbelief these days. Maybe I am holding mom back. I just need to be released from the project so it can have a happy ending for all the others involved.
Monday, July 13, 2026
I did some research last night trying to find out why mom gets emotional, is weak, fearful, has poor balance, and more. Turns out this is all tied to the high blood sugar. Even though 780 is horrible, 300 is just as bad, but the brain considers that a crisis and goes into shock. Hopefully, once we get things under control, she will improve. Mom and Dad went to see Reese Hadlock, who is a physician assistant today. He was the one who found my dad's Rheumatoid Arthritis. They will go back next week for another visit. He added metformin to her medication. So she will have that and insulin Lantus injections still, and check her blood sugar levels. She ate some salt water taffy before dinner, and that put her levels in the 500s!!! That is so crazy. I am still super worried, but I have not cried today. I think I am just exhausted. I shared the information that I found with Dad, and he was relieved. I hope it is accurate.
For now, we just need to figure out how to eat with diabetes.

Mom
Cried and cried tonight. I fear sleeping and losing my mom while I sleep. She was off tonight. She is so weak. Instead of watching a movie with Dad and me, she colored on her coloring app on her phone. Afterwards, she used the restroom. She was in there a long time. I jokingly said, “You were in there a long time. I almost thought you fell in. She responded that she wasn’t in there that long. Then cried and needed help folding her blanket and help to get up the stairs. I’m so afraid I’m going to lose her. She is a lot weaker than a week ago. Every question I ask her, she responds “I don’t know”. This is not fair. She can’t check out before I get married. I don’t have any prospects lined up, but still. She is supposed to live longer and be there for me. This really sucks. I wish I had faith. I keep praying for a miracle, but Heavenly Father never seems to answer me. I hear about people praying and they are able to heal others, and yet this happens….she is not the mom I once had. I hope I can get her back. I miss being able to talk with her. She has really been struggling with this challenge. All my family has. But there is always hope and trusting in the Lord.

July 4th
Every year almost for the past 5+I have been getting matching for my parents and I for the 4th of July. It’s a fun tradition for me.
I slept horrible last night. I was awake by 3:58 and could not sleep. I just cried and cried. This summer has been very hard for me. Mom always said we would be healed and soon and I honestly thought that would be in this life. But I think it’s after we all die now with all the drama in my life. I struggle with Heavenly Father. I feel like he doesn’t hear me. I know he does but I must be doing something wrong right now .

26 years
Today marks 26 years since I entered the MTC. The Provo Temple has been torn down. The MTC has been torn down. Both are being rebuilt, but the ones I experienced are gone. I am glad I went when I did. I would not want to go now. Life was a lot safer and simpler back then. It seems so long ago. I sometimes hate thinking about the past. It makes me anxious. Thinking about the future makes me anxious. SO, what shall I do? I really wish I knew. I am stuck in a rut. I will be excited if I make it to the terrestrial kingdom. Everyone thinks I am great, but I am not there yet, and I will work to get there. I have so many faults and seem to collect more the older I get. You would think it would be the opposite as I have gotten older, but I just seem to get worse and make mistakes even more.

Mom and Dad and tree and more.
I hate seeing Mom decline. I hate seeing Dad decline. It is not fun seeing my parent getting older and slower. I am not handling this. Things are going to be a mess when they pass away. I don't know how well my siblings will be. I wish the Savior would come RIGHT NOW!!!!. I don't want to deal with this. I love all my siblings and in-laws, but I know there will be some drama. I am already struggling with the tree being cut down. I wish they would do it when I am not home. I have been a basket case all week. I am dreading next week. I will miss the shade. Dad said it would make the lawn better since the tree takes all the water away. The sun will bake the lawn. Clif Browning this week already pruned the Ponderosa pine trees in front and took off a BIG limb on the locust tree that was in the way of the power line. I just hate change.

Summer is going well, I might say. Other than the fires everywhere. Utah is burning, and Arizona is not too far behind if we don't get any rain. We so need to turn to the Lord, but many are not willing to do such a thing. If only people would include God in their lives, we would be in a different situation.

Driving home
I’m driving home today. I wanted to leave at 5am but my body is old and does not work that way anymore. Maybe 7am. Wish me luck.
Chris Monson is driving me insane. I have been helping him with cars to drive places for work. We go to the airport and get a car or him. Yesterday though he ended up never giving me the parking garage ticket. It almost cost me $40 to get out. Luckily he was able to send a picture. The line had been long and we rented from AVIS and not ENTERPRISE since there were no cars available for Thursday night. It was frustrating. They don't let you pick from a selection. They give you a parking spot to pick up your car. Anyway, I was at the cashier line to get out and had to call him. It was $10 instead of $5 because we were 7 minutes into the second hour. I really wish he would grow up and be more responsible. He was behind on his clsases that were due that night. I wish he would just invest in a better car. I wish he would not take advantage of my kindess. I am justs overwhelmed at the moment.

16 Years of the UTAH VALLEY MARATHON VOLUNTEERING
This weekend marked 16 years for me. I didn't make it to the bag stuffing, though. I had to work, and it was too hard to get away this year. I honestly didn't think I would be missed. People who get involved change every year. Hyrum Robinson, the race director, noticed I wasn't there when I saw him at the EXPO the next day when I volunteered at the morning shift. It was different for me because of that. I picked up my friend Kyle Gibb and took him to the EXPO. He helped some but mostly walked around a lot and got stuff from the vendors who were there. He was on cloud 9 with his box of goodies that he had by the end.
At first, I was really worried about the lack of volunteers, and then a group of youth and their leaders came in and helped. They had come from Elkridge, UT, and were in the middle of Youth Conference, helping at the EXPO. Handing out bib numbers, bags, and shirts was one of the service options they could do. Andy was the name of the man who was over by me. I think he was the bishop. I enjoyed watching the young men helping the Polynesian sister missionaries hand out the race shirts. At one point, they had gone to a booth and done push-ups to get these red exercise headbands. I went around after my shift to a few booths and talked to vendors before leaving. Oh, and they did feed us too. Fat Daddy's Pizza in Provo, but there were no drinks. Bummer. I was thirsty and really needed a drink.
Before I took Kyle Gibb home, I had him come and help me clean at the Secondary School of Freedom Preparatory Academy. I needed to clean up from the play that had been done the night before. Kyle got to meet Buddy Ivie. I am so grateful that Buddy was kind to Kyle when he came in.

Missing in Action
I am so behind. I used to be so good at keeping up with my life. I like writing on here. I was just tired and frustrated, I guess you could say. I am not working either job today. It's kind of weird. I am use to not doing my occupational therapy aide job on Fridays, but custodial, I did. There would not have been much for me to do.

Sick
I hate being sick. I have been sick so much this year. I know it’s probably due to stress and lack of sleep. I am ready to let go of my jobs finally. Just need help to find something new.
Sunday, April 19, 2026
I could not fall asleep until 3am. Crazy. I hope I make it through church today. Yesterday I bought food and divided it up so I am ready for the week. Hoping to feel better and have more energy. I went to Costco for the food. While in line am Asian lady named Jennifer tried really hard to get me to get the credit card

Not enjoying this
Getting older is just not fun. Can I be a kid again? I don’t like the aches and pains and moving slower. I really am hating this. I wish I had energy and would wake up ready to take on the world. I miss the days of less technology. I miss being pretty and thinner. I miss having energy. I miss having more time. I miss enjoying the days and not having to work myself to death. I have no people I feel loyal to at custodial anymore so maybe it's time to go. If I could keep the OT aide job another year and get a remote data entry job that could pay my bills for now that would be nice. Then get a remote job overall that payed well so I was flexible to help my parents and do what I still need to do in Utah helping all the special men in my life.

Daylight Savings
It’s time of year again to move the clocks forward. I am tired. I wish they would do away with it.
Last night I went to a wedding reception for James and Mercedes Fairbanks. James is a brother to Aften Fairbanks who is in my singles ward. He came to the ward a few times. He met his wife while working at Deseret Book in the ice cream shop where they both were working.
I expected to be there just a little bit and then head home but the moment I walked into the cultural hall a lady said high to me. I didn’t remember her name but I remembered where I knew her from. Bonnie Jean Schnebly Bottoms was her name. She has seven kids and lives in Orem, Utah.
Her sister was there too and she has nine kids. Her husband recognized me from Roman Gardens Apartments.
Then I ran into the brother Peter Schnedbly. He just sent off his son on his mission. He remembered me too. These guys were all first cousins to James Fairbanks. Small world.

I had to clean throw up today at my custodial job.🤮it was so not fun. I wish we would have had the powder. That would have made it so much easier to cleanup. My boss and the one under him did not respond to my text message very fast. It took them an hour to respond. By then I had already done what I could. Hopefully I didn’t ruin the carpet.
Monday
It’s a new week. It’s about 5am and I am trying to get up and get my car loaded and be out the door shortly z I am tired like usual. Stressed like always. I wish I were rested and full of energy but I am not. I will just be tired. My boss An Nguyen will be out today. He got sick over the weekend. The cold and flu has been rough this year. All those who I work with have gotten sick and missed work. I got sick but came and pushed through. That was probably not the best idea but I had no other choice. I am the only one that can’t afford to miss work. I am my only income and if I don’t when I get less money and more stress and I have even less income to try and pay my bill.
So I just hope to make it through another week. I need another weekend to get caught up since I didn’t have time. I hate getting older and slower.

Sunday Afternoon
Loni Anderson is pretty amazing. She is currently my relief society President. She had left over chocolate from her Valentine party and froze bananas to dip in the chocolate. It was pretty good. I picked up Sarah Bringhurst (in the flower shirt) and Wendy Van de Vuer came too. Both are sisters that I minister too. A few more came later. Jennifer Call came. She was the previous relief society President. I noticed she had not been around for a bit and did not know she left the ward for her family ward. She is younger than me by a few years. I am not ready to move to my family ward. I know I don’t make it to activities but I still like the ward. It has changed a lot through the years. I fear. Though that the when we get a new stake president which could be this coming stake conference in March that he may be more into enforcement of the 36-45 age and then the ward will really shrink. I’ll be super sad. Also our bishop will probably be changing in 6 months too. I can’t believe how fast time has flown. Come May, I will have been living in Sandy for 8 years!!! That is half the time I spent in Provo (16 years). Where has the time gone?

Missing in Action
I am just exhausted and so far behind on my posts. I will have lots to catch up on. Maybe this weekend I will be able to get some of them done.
Work has definitely taken a toll on me this year. I am so tired all the time. Custodial work wears me out fast. I just don't move as fast as I used to. I don't find joy in it anymore. There are a few teachers with whom I talk and will go above and beyond to help them.
OT work is okay. There is no tension, but we are all very quiet. I was hoping to have time to build real friendships, but everyone sticks to themselves. It's sad. I don't miss Robin Madsen at all. She hated me for some reason. I wish I knew what I did to make her hate me so much. I miss Nelly Goodwin and some of the secretaries at the schools I worked at for so long.
Change is good, but sometimes I have a hard time seeing it. Now the biggest change of all will be for me to finally let go of the jobs that I have had for so long and be brave enough to try something new.

Gloves
So I am getting old and I have come to face that I am getting old and need extra help. I am on round three of trying something to help my poor hands. I hope they work and are able to help my poor hands, wrists and more.

Jordan River Temple
I made it to the temple today. I have not been in a while. Sometimes I get super stressed out when I go. I am so afraid of messing up, and I did this time. I wish it were more relaxing for me, but it's not. Many say it's their favorite place to go. Right now, it's not my favorite place. I will go from time to time, but I have no plans on being a temple worker anytime soon.

I am still coughing. I hate it. This Christmas has been rough due to being sick. I am sad it's almost over. It went way too fast. I need to change some things this coming year. I want a new job, but am I brave enough? I need someone to just help me. I need help building self-confidence. I need help to be organized again. I need help to have energy again. I need a lot of help overall. Hopefully, things will get rolling within the first few months of 2026.

Christmas 2025
This year, for Christmas, it was just my parents and me. It was small, and that it okay. I didn't mind. I was sick, though. I have been battling a cold since I got home a week ago. It's a bummer to be sick over the holiday. However, at least I don't have to work. I want to get better soon so I can enjoy part of my break at least.
I came home on Sunday. It was a day later than normally planned. I just was not ready to leave on Saturday, and instead was running around like crazy trying to get things done. I still did not get everything done that I wanted. I did get the fridge cleaned out of old food, and the mess in the kitchen and living room cleaned up. I only got one out of three of my ministering gifts delivered. I just don't move as fast as I used to.

Exhausted
I am so tired and frustrated. I am tired all of the time. Life is frustrating. I work and I am tired. I work and I am forgetful. What is the point? I see nothing exciting. I don’t have to have something big. I would just like to enjoy life a bit more. I am not ready to go by any means. I just want to feel good again. It’s been so long since I have had that. Is this what it’s like to get old? Am I destined to be exhausted all the time? What about this forgetfulness? I am too young to be this forgetful. I’m not even 50 yet I sometimes feel like I am 80.

Monday, November 24, 2025
Well, I am off. Hopefully my students are all gone today. I am okay leaving work early. I am not staying in Eagle Mountain for a bit as Karen’s sister is staying there visiting from England. I think about work and wish I could work from home.
After hearing that my friend Byron Herman did not have a will, I need to get a will. I hope it never has to be used but I need one right? It will give my family access to the little money that I have.
I am massively stressed out at the moment. I don’t know what I am doing today and I slept horrible. I can’t get into my old iPad since the keyboard has issues. I just wanted to reset the password was all and now I am up a creek. If I could get in then I could get a different iPad. I think the pictures are in the I cloud and I could get another I pad and have them still. Hoping for a miracle.

Byron Herman
I lost a dear friend yesterday. Byron Herman decided to check out of this life. He was always so nice to me. I cried. I hate losing people and I have lost a lot of people this year. I wish the Savior would come right now. I am tired of the pain. I want to see everyone again. I don’t want to lose anymore.
Ron called to tell me he died tonight. Maybe I should have stopped by and said hi and now I have to live with even more regret.

New Tires
Time to buy tires again. It’s so expensive. It costed over $1000 to get them. Crazy. Just sitting here waiting now. I wish life were a little cheaper and not so stressful. I was a walk in and so I had to wait. I hope they get my car in soon.

Spent about an hour in Toyota this morning getting my driver’s door actuator. That was a pricey part but thankfully my Uncle Rich Lee still worked there and he let me use his discount. It went from $700 to just over $500. I hope I don’t have any more for awhile. I do have to get tires and that will be about $800. I love me car and wish I had less miles on it. Work has put too ma y miles. I want it to last to 300,000. I am halfway there. I really do need to find a different job.

Sister Act Play at Hale Center Theather
I have never been one to complain about play at Hale Center Theater until last week. I got the opportunity to go see Sister Act. I was so excited to go with some friends who had extra tickets. I loved the movie from when I was a teenager. I haven't seen it in years. I was disappointed in the language to start. I have never been to a play there where they had profanity in it. Plus, NONE of the songs I knew were in it. It was like it was a completely different show with just a few things from the movie. I know plays have to be different with copyright and such, but I just wish they could have done one of the songs I knew. They had some very talented actors, and the costumes were cool along with all the stage changes. It was impressive there.

BYU beat Utah 21-24
Three years in a row….BYU beat University of Utah. It was in Provo Utah. I was able to watch most of it at home.
Fall Break 2025
I really didn’t do much. Just stayed home and cleaned. I don’t move as fast as I use to and I hate it. I had plans to get so much done and only got a fraction and now I sit on the couch tired and it’s only 9:30 am.
I just worked on my disaster of a room. How in the world have I collected so much stuff. I wish I could move faster and get things done like I use to. My 40’s have definitely been harder than my 30’s. I know a lot has to do with my lack of sleep and the stress from my jobs.
I did go and to the corn maze in West Jordan Utah with some friends. I had not been to a corn maze in like 20 years. It was a challenge having to wait and go at 9pm though. Loni, Jill Davis, Rebecca Anderson, Tavi Sorenson and myself went.
