Merry Christmas

Christmas was great and Drake and Isabella were spoiled rotten. We are still getting Christmas presents to this day. Here is our thanks for everything from everyone. Drake's favorite gift was my sims for the DS. Isabella's favorite gift? Well, she was spoiled and got so many clothes and teething stuff, that it's all her favorite! Happy New Year to everyone. Love you all!

Christmas Pictures

So had a really disappointing Christmas picture shoot at Sears. We were there for 3, yes 3, hours. And the pictures didn't turn out all that fantastic. So we will not be returning to them next year. We just might as well go to Picture People again. They did a fantastic job last year, we just wanted to go somewhere closer this year....

Isabella is 2 months now

Isabella is now 2 months and at her check up she weighed in at 13.7 lbs! that put her in the 97th percentile for weight. And she is 23 1/4 in. long. that puts her in the 75-90th percentile for height. I don't remember her head circumference, but it was also in the 75th percentile. As you can see she is definitely starting to get a personality. It's as if she takes after her momma?! When she was first born, she really looked like James, but as each day passes she's starting to look alot like me! She sleeps through the night and now our weekday mornings have a constant routine. She gets up at 6:30 am every morning and wants to be fed, which she gets fed by Drake. That is his "time" with her because after school, he's too "busy" to pay much attention to her. He really loves his time that he gets with her. I'm so proud of him and of her. They are both my light and joy. I really laugh when I watch them two because how can you not love your children and the bond that only siblings will have??

Thanksgiving 2007

For Thanksgiving we had it on Friday instead of Thursday due to my sister, Sara, boyfriend Brian worked Thanksgiving and couldn't come up until Friday. I made pies on Thursday though, so we wouldn't have to wait for them when cooking the Turkey on Friday. I made (from scratch) cherry, pumpkin, lemon meringue & chocolate pie. Everybody loved them and they turned out perfect. This holiday was also special due to it was Isabella's first Thanksgiving and of course she was an angel. Practically slept the day away. Drake was being his usual kid self...one minute behaving, the next your yelling due to an incident with a Frisbee in the house...! So please share in the delight of these fun photographs of Thanksgiving day and our Thanks.

Happy Halloween

So yesterday was Halloween and boy was it fun! Drake was told that he had to have a good day at school for me even to think about allowing him to go trick-or-treating (which of course he did). I had Izzy in her pirate costume all day and got lots of compliments on it. Drake was the grim reaper (he chose it, not me.), Diego was a Ninja and Dillyn, being himself, a skunk. We didn't stay out late (babies you know) but everyone had lots of fun. We went to some specific houses and then around a neighborhood at one of the houses. Izzy just slept most of the time! Just now counting down the days til I go back to work, which is only 1more free day!

Sleeping Izzy

This is my favorite past time for her. Sleeping. She's such a good baby that most of it's spent sleeping (much to my relief). She being a month now, during the day, she's a little bit more awake, but she still likes her 3-4 hour naps! We do tummy time with her, though she does not like it. She likes to be sitting up staring at the world. I know they don't stay this way forever, but still, I love this look the best.

Drake and Isabella

So now about the first born, Drake. For all 9 months of my pregnancy, he begged me for a brother, he was very adamant that he did NOT want a sister. I kept explaining to him that it wasn't my choice on whether it was a girl or boy. (he didn't believe me though) So when Isabella was finally born, he walked into the hospital and was enthralled. Couldn't help out enough. Was very proud, told everyone that he could about HIS baby sister. Wants to constantly hug and kiss her, feed her, change her and hold her. Tells his cousin all the time, that this is his sister and that he can't touch her! We have some days were the jealousy of a newborn are there, but mostly it's' only love that comes from him. Let me tell you about the relief I feel over that. The whole pregnancy I was just thinking to myself: "This is going to be like WW 3!" I mean, what else do you expect when your child has 8 years to themselves and all of a sudden they have share your attention? Very blessed with my family and how good everything has been. I'm trying to go back home in March so everyone who wasn't able to come out to me, will get a chance to meet the baby and see Drake again.
