Happy Father's Day

We had a really nice father's day that included:

Early morning breakfast of eggs and bacon

Mass

Lunch at Bulldog Deli

9 holes of golf on the MSU course

Finished up with the final round of the US Open on tv.

I think it had all the makings of Dan's perfect day!
And he deserves it! Thanks for all you do for this family, Dan! You are an awesome dad and one heck of a husband too. We love you!!

Will-man's Preschool Graduation

Our little guy has officially completed preschool and is now ready to move on to (gulp) Kindergarten!
Last Friday night, Will's school held a "Graduation" for all the kids leaving the preschool program going to Kindergarten. Everytime I referred to the graduation and the ceremony I sort of chuckled to myself and thought it was a little bit silly to graduate a bunch of 4 and 5 years....I mean caps and gowns? Really?
But, then I attended the program and my whole attitude changed. I was totally caught off guard at how I reacted to the whole thing. I cried uncontrollably and felt so overwhelmed watching this little boy of ours walk out. I felt so full of love and joy; I felt proud, excited, and even a little sad. I just kept sitting there trying to figure out where all the time has gone from the day he was born (which only feels like yesterday) unitl now. I know this is the first of many times I will feel this way in Will's life and I just can't even imagine how it's going to be the older he gets. And we will have 2 more following him! I'm gonna be an absolute mess by the time we get all these kids through college. :)

Will's wonderful teacher, Mrs. Tamar

Assistant teacher, Ms. Germeca

I could not possibly love this little boy anymore! Way to go, Will!

Project Complete

Today I finally finished the baby's closet project. It was an overly time consuming and unnecessarily involved project that I'm glad to be done with. And it didn't even turn out as cute as I would have liked. They look cute from afar, but upon close inspection, they look exactly like what they are: cardboard boxes covered with cheap fabric.
Oh well! Lesson learned. Next time I'm pretty sure I will just go buy some darn baskets from Lowes and be done with it. :)

Nursery Reveal

Well, we are finally getting around to putting the nursery together. It has been a work in progress for a few months now, but just not on the top of our to-do list. I think the hold up on deciding on a name for baby girl had a lot to do with that. But, here is how it looks today:

And as you can see, we have decided to name our little girl "June Elizabeth." We are really happy with the name and it just seems to fit. It is a combination of some family names of some really special people. My Aunt June is the cutest, spunkiest, tiniest 80-something woman you will ever meet and I have always loved her and hope that our June has her fun personality. And Elizabeth is my sister's middle name as well as my grandmother's middle name. So, the name holds a lot of special meaning.
I am also really happy with how the room has turned out. It has all the soft colors I envisioned for a little girl's room and it just feels like a room with an old soul which goes right along with her name. :)
Of course, good ole Pinterest gave me lots of ideas for the room. I really like these embroidery hoops turned out.

The other project that is still ongoing is covering these diaper boxes in the closet(another Pinterest idea). I have not been as thrilled with this project. It is time consuming and not exactly the look I was wanting. I may need to rethink this one...

Thanks to all of our wonderful friends and family, baby June is set in the clothes department! We have also been given or loaned all the other "stuff" you need for a baby that we either didn't have or didn't keep from the boys. She is already one loved little girl!
