Community-led resistances and responses to climate crises

Volume 34, Issue 2, July 2026

Drawing on the experiences and perspectives of communities that have long been marginalised in climate policies and debates, this issue encourages us to reflect on climate change and climate justice. Despite being excluded from decision-making spaces, these communities play a vital role through their collective efforts to support recovery, repair, and restoration. The contributions in this issue highlight diverse ways of understanding and responding to climate change, rooted in local realities, relationships, and cultural knowledge. They also offer valuable insights into how these community-based knowledges can be meaningfully and ethically recognised, included, and centred in climate governance and practice.
